Okay, this little build will be going into my 1992 Oldsmobile 88. I bought the car about 7 years ago right after I started working for the pipeline I'm working for now. I got a hell of a deal on it and got it so that I had a car just for driving to work so my wife would still have the van to drive at home. I only drove the car for a couple of years before I bought the Jimmy and right after that I gave the Olds to my mother and father in law to drive because their car broke down and my mother in law was having to run around to doctors and things for her cancer treatments and such. Well fast forward from then and I find myself with the Jimmy out of commission and my fat…

You take 2 audio geeks, 2 cars with similar installs and 2 of the cheapest 10" speakers. Add some particle board, a huge port and try to lay the smack-down Here's how the box looks, 2 $20 subs, in a push-pull configuration. It's going to have to fit in the cargo area, initially designed for my car but my friend and I were both anxious to hear the thing before the wood glue cured and it's pretty awesome. The Honda will get a custom-fit box once I exhaust all the ideas in the Jeep. We even did 2 burps with a short port. Considering the end goal for the system is 142+ dB, how about some educated guesses on the actual score today?

For my chics B-Day shes gettin a whole new system. She knows nothing bout it so it'll be a good surprise:D. Anway, she wants some bump an wants it to get semi loud. Figured a 12" SX will be plenty, Powered by a USAmps XT4000D. So the sub should see bout 1000 watts or so. Box is 2cubes @34hz an will be resined(sp?) on the inside. Gonna replace the cheapy pioneer coaxils up front with RE6.5 comps powered a USAmps XT800.2. Each door will have 2 layers of Raamat BXT + Ensolite. All KNU wiring an RCAs. Got somewhat far on the box today. Letting the resin dry over night an will finish it up tomorrow.

Well my previous setup consisted of 2 15" icons powered off a Soundstream pca2000d at 2ohm doing 1500 watts so each sub was getting around 750 watts each. My door speakers were boston acousitc sl60's in the front and infinity kappas in the read powered by a JLe6450 getting 75x4 at 4ohm. Heres the new! 2 15" icons powered by a kicker zx2500! so each sub is getting about 1250 each. A kicker zx650.4 I am gonna replace the sl60's and go with the PG rsd's take. Gonna take out the infinity kappas and just throw the sl60's in the back for the hell of it. I also will be doing big 3 having a kinetik hc1400 under the hood and a hc2400 in the rear. All kicker wiring as well! Heres t…

As the title states, gonna fab an iPad2 into the dash bezel of a Hummer H2. To do this, I will be deleting the row of 12v plugs at the bottom of the bezel. I will be deleteing the On-Star. I will be moving the HVAC controls to the very bottom. Fabricating a single DIN Alpine HU mount right above the HVAC controls and below the iPad. Relocating the 4 wheel drive controls and the load managment controls to the underside of the steering column panel. And then of course making a motorized mount for the iPad2. Sounds like such fun doesn't it?

I call it the '64 Blazer. It is actually a 95 GMC Jimmy. But everyone calls them all Blazers anyways. The interior is being built to look like a 1964 Impala SS. Hence the name I gave it. Ryan, the owner, calls it Black Betty.

After a recent break-in, I'm having to rethink/rebuild my subwoofer box and amp rack, as well as replace the equipment. Fortunately my front stage was untouched, so the only change coming is in the rear. Vehicle: 2004 Toyota Matrix Equipment (new stuff in red): Source: Rockford/Denon RFX-8250 Mids: Usher 8945P 7" Tweets: Peerless 810921 HDS 1" dome Sub: JBL W12GTi MkII Enclosure: 1.7 ft.^3 sealed (after sub displacement) Front amp: Kenwood eXcelon XR-4S Sub amp: Kenwood eXcelon XR-1S Processor: Rockford 3sixty.2 My goals for this build are to decrease subwoofer footprint by utilizing the spare tire well for extra airspace in an effort to increase cargo capacity. Hopefully…

Trying to make room for a larger box to fit in from the front of the trunk/rear seat. You can see there is some sheet metal in the way that would need removing. Think this would hurt the structural integrity of the car? Lazy half azz drawings...sry The pieces outlined in yellow triangles will bolt out. I would have to cut my rear deck trim panel up to the red line. The orange rectangle is a slight hump that may limit my height of the box getting through, its probably removable but will not be able to be put back after without welding lol. It may not interfere after cutting the top of the opening. I marked a red line on the back about egual to the red line on t…

This is a build I'm doing for a friend. 2000 Jeep Cherokee 2 Sundown SA-15 Hifonics Brz-1200.1d Cadence 4awg wire kit Everything should be arriving sometime this week. 7.31ft³ @31.24hz 101.72in² port area The box ended up being bigger than I expected, I misread the torres box calculator and is .75inch taller. I still have to glue down the top baffle, but I'm going to wait to make sure the subs fit. Thats it for now until the equipment arrives.

My neighbor wanted a new box for his Caprice to house three 12" Kicker CompVR's. The box he had was three seperate, one cube chambers, sealed. After I built the box, I stumbled across what would be any audio guys nightmare. I have never seen so many failed attempts to cut corners and rig a system, from front to back!!! I spent the better part of two hours removing items, no joke. I brought home 5 amps and two Kroger plastic shopping bags full of wire. After everything was removed, I redone the trunk area. I did not take too many pics, however, He will be bringing the car back next weekend and drop it off for me to finish upgradeing the wiring, as well as a big three up…
