  1. I'm in the process of completely changing the crx's build so I decided to start a new build log. The old one can be found here: http://www.soundsolu...1-honda-crx-si/ The last thing I did in the build was add the new second amp rack with the LEDs under both amps (which I have yet to get a decent photo of, Sefugi). From there I was just so used to everything and was starting to compete in some comps and with a local in town. First thing that needed to be done was a new front stage, again. Pre ordered the Sundown Audio Neo Pro 6.5" mids with some infinity tweets. Found a great deal on an Alpine 9887 and grabbed that up quick. Before: After: Before: After:

  4. This is a good buddies build. I got him hooked up with Mark to order 2 zcon 18s and 2 crescendo 5500s. Mark came through very fast on delivery. This blazer already had a 6th order for 2 IA dp21s. Doing decent numbers. But when we put the zcons in holy shit! We played with the back ported section and bumped up the volume a bit changing the ratio. In testing before the last show we managed a 159.5 and at the show after demos and playing around he was able to put up a 158.7 official score. I don't have a lot of the build pics since it had the 6th when I met him. Here's a few from the show.

So a week ago i designed this then built it with my dad for my brothers truck, a 94 s10 reg cab. The sub sits under the dash facing up and port is behind passenger seat. With polyfill it should be ~2 cubes @ 32hz its kind of crude and we couldnt afford the room for 45's or bracing, but it sounds really good and pretty even through a broad frequency range. My brother hasnt decided on a finish yet so its staying bare wood/caulk/putty/nails for a while... SPL testing will hopefully be the day before thanksgiving

  10. Just start off by saying this will be a very slooooooow build. The car is stripped down to bare metal and will take a while to get back together. Plus the fact that I don't have a garage I may have to put the car in storage for part of fall/winter. The goal is to either use some of the equipment in my xb in this car, all of it, or buy more. For this season I am concentrating on the xb and will hopefully have the honda up by march. I have high hopes for this car, looking for 160+ sealed on the dash. Hopefully I can reach this goal. And if not it'll at least be funny to watch me drive the car into the lane. Looking to go with a flat black paint job atm, but how knows tha…

Also waiting on my H/U, a Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD, wiring harness, and dash kit. All of this is going in here: Starting off with these bad boys 2 Fi Audio SSD12s (thanks FI) in an Argent Audio Enclosure (thanks Andrew): Mounted: Powered by this (thanks SA): Started off by mounting a piece of wood to serve as my amp rack in the trunk: Then I mounted the amp: Going to paint the amp rack black when it stops raining out here in LA. Alright, I figure I'll get lots of things I did wrong pointed out, oh well. Bear in mind that this is my personal vehicle and it won't be my primary for more than a couple more years (if it lasts that long as many miles as I drive weekly). The goal is active 3 way from passive 2 way with a clean looking setup and of course, a new woofer (since the Quatro was only meant to be temporary). I'll start with the boring "thank you's" first. Thanks big time to all of these people: Pete with Team Toxic Bass and Hexibaseforum.com (user = Hexibase) for the enclosure design help Scott at Fi for answering all my questions and selling me a great woofer Scott (xbrightsidex) and joe …

I'm building up a "foundation" for a future bass race setup in my Jeep. Right now, it's just for two 15's but I would like to get some heavy duty 18's in the future once I add more power to the mix.... The rear chamber is 9 cubes tuned to 33 hz and the front chamber is big with a big port The port and subs from the rear chamber will be facing right in front of the loading wall. For anybody that asks why I used particle board....Lowe's was out of MDF, plus it was cheaper. Not a big deal to be honest. We'll start off with what was in my Jeep before: Start of the tear out...
