My first build was not posted here since it was before I found this awsome site but I will post a few pics of it. I recieved my Sundown SAE 1200 amp today and awaiting the 2 SSA Icon 12d1 subs. The box will be ported instead of sealed this time with subs firing up, still poundering on port location. Should I go out the side on bottom or up also? The box will be approx. 4.1 cubs tuned to 30hz. Picking up wood tomorrow after work and hopefully start cutting sat mornin. I know its alot of trial and error but if anyone has experience with extra cab trucks and port locations feel free to add. Here is the current set up in my 95 Mazda B3000 Kenwood KDC-X790 head unit JL Audio e…

Hey guys ~ Haven't posted on here in a little while and figured i'd show you all what I'v been up to. Business has been good and I was fortunate enough to be able to construct this enclosure designed by the owner(s) of Phantom Soundz! This was going under the seat of a 2001 sierra cab, with the subs downfiring. Lot's of work went into this Let me know what you think! Shoot me any PM's if any of you are interested in getting something built! Enjoy! Dustin

This box is for a 18" RD Alpha V1 6.75ft^3 net tuned to 34hz with 111 in^2 of port (this thing is HUGE) Due to the size I have to do the carpet a little different so I figured this would be a great time to try this out.

Got the call from someone local to build a box for his setup. He has 2 SSA Evil 18's on 2 NS-1's at 0.5 ohms a piece, with 4 XS D3100's and a Mechman 270. His current box was initially built for 4 18's (something like 18 cubes net) and stuck WAY above the window line. He wanted a box for just the 2 that he has, a lot smaller box, and something with a little "flair". Well, here it is... Specs: 13.2 cubes net 12" Octaport 32.3 hz Double layered all around (except sides) Window style bracing Bolt terminals Bedlined outside with a fire-engine red port Be sure to watch the video at the end!

Here is the build I did a couple of weekends ago for a kid I used to work with. It's 5 cubic feet after all displacements tuned to 34Hz. He's running both off of my old Cadence TXA1000D. They are getting a little less than 500 watts a piece. Looking to upgrade to a 1500-2000 watt amp sometime soon. T-nuts are amazing. Round over on the top edge. Bolt terminals. A little woofer porn for all of you. 10" Sundown Audio SD1-v2 10" SSA Icon 12" Fi Car Audio Q And, I know I'll get hated if I don't post videos. So here you are you whores. It's pretty loud. Should get quite a bit louder when we double the power. EDIT: Fixed a picture.

Well, I'm sure most of you saw the box I built for local customer Bobby for 2 Evil 18's in a suburban. Well, tax time came around and guess what, he bought 2 more Evil 18's! I wanted to keep the box from being massively tall, but I was able to manage 20 cubes net! I just started today, but I might get it assembled (or at least half assembled) by this evening. Anyway, onto the pictures... Specs: 20 cubes net 14" Octaport 32 hz Badass window bracing Letting the Octaport dry, while I cut out the bracing.

Well I decided to ditch my dual 12 set up and go for a single 18 DC Level 4 XL in the back. I've been playing around with designs for the past week and finally settled on something. I went to Menards yesterday, got two sheet of MDF and went to work today. It's 6 cubes tuned to 36hz. After my Ebay sale is done on Sunday I'll order the 18 Monday, then I'm going to wait to attach the second baffle until I can make sure it fits good with the sub, and then come a little testing and Herculiner after I'm happy with everything.

This is a build for my friend Ehsan. We're replacing his current seald box, with a ported one. The new setup will be a 5 cube enclosure, sub up port back, tuned to 32Hz. Equipment will be a SoundSplinter RL-P 15" powered by a Powerbass 1000.1d, all in a Nissan Xterra. Current setup. Supplies. Getting started. Closer to being done. Thats it for today, more to come tomorrow evening.

I was approached a couple of weeks ago by a customer to build a box. He already had the design, only problem was school was getting busy for me, so i had to put him off a couple of weeks. I finally got some free time today to build it. The bedliner is drying as im typing this, and once its dry I'll be painting the port red (seems almost standard on SSA boxes...) and he'll be picking it up tomorrow, so I'll get a couple of pictures of it installed (and hopefully playing if its not raining). Specs: 6.8 cubes net 8.5" Octaport 32 hz All this going in a Dodge Caliber.

Decided against the underseat box since i have very little experience. Once im more confident in doing bevels and cutting angles i think ill do it. Any way i lost one seat and gained mad bass, ill take that trade off lol. heres the woofer Beefy 12" Shot at 2011-07-12 Shot at 2011-07-12 Heres the box Shot at 2011-07-12 Shot at 2011-07-12 Shot at 2011-07-12 Shot at 2011-07-12 A little weight for the baffle Shot at 2011-07-12 Shot at 2011-07-12 Dont have a razor, so i improvised for the carpeting Shot at 2011-07-12 here it is installed, hopefully i can get a vid of it flexing my truck i just need to find a better camera than my cell phone. Well i built a fiberglass box for my truck a few months ago back when i was in high school still, and it did pretty good on the meter (140.0) but i wanted to go a little louder without having to change setups completely. I decided to build a box to go where my center console was. The box itself is 1.9 cubes tuned to 33 hz (made for my new Fi Bl 12 coming in), but i decided to put in the DP for the time being. There was a noticeable difference in the sound and loudness of this box over my other one, but this one will only be used for competitions, or when i don't need a center seat (can't put the GF beside ya when this is in. haha) So i went and got it metered yesterday. S…

I didn't get any pictures during the process (camera was down and decided to not come on until it was all done). But the box is 3.3 cubic feet with 48 sq in of port tuned to 32 hz. This is also the first time i've ever done a kerf port, and i thought it turned out pretty good. Questions? Comments?

Almost forgot to post the build over here lol. Started the build on sunday. Anyhow, on to the pics. The design: started construction on the box. it's going to be a little smaller than initially planned at 2.1 cu ft. it's really my first enclosure with kerf'ed panels. i reallllllly need to get some big clamps. that would have made things MUCH easier. yes i'm using screws just to mess with Don :gapteeth: no clamps, so i had to ghetto rig it somehow. it works. a tiny crack started to form. i put some glue on it. seems to help it from spreading. starting to kerf the other port piece... waiting to get bent into shape. a few days went by. sub came. got myself a clamp …

Took advantage of some free time and the nice weather to get started on my box for the DLS sub. let's get some wood cut eh? pieces all cut out and ready for assembly one more piece to go! ready to start marking and cutting out the hole for the flared port opening. the port on the inside. excuse the huge glare from the sun :\ covering the mounting area so the spray won't get on it. a peek inside through the port opening. lots of clearance between the motor and port tune. done! it's 1.62 cubic feet ported and tuned to 35Hz. i haven't installed it into the car yet...ran out of daylight and the mosquitos are out in full force. i'll get it into the car as s…
