I wanted to go ahead and create the thread because you gonna need to finalize your decision(s) very soon as i am onto you now. As far as i know, u want 2 12" BTLS off of a 3500d.... If this is true, it will be fired forward. I'll be rootin through my PMs again to find your dimensions so i can start your build. If you need an entire design done in your trunk, give me ALL dimensions so i can model battery and amp(s) mounting too if u need it, otherwise, i'll just design your box. Let me know what you want it tuned too.. otherwise, i'll tune it to 32hz for daily and interchangeable for competition.

Here's a vid of me doing the cuts for my girlfriends sealed box for her 10" Dcon. We're doing a ported one next week and seeing which one suits her best. Both boxes built to SSA's optimal specs. Her dad owns a shop with TONS of machinery and this happens to be one.. and he's giving me access to it all whenever I want.. so I'm starting my box-making experiences with the best of the best Enjoy the vid! I'll be posting more pictures/vids of the build later on as things progress. I'm currently in high-school and working 30+ hours a week so I'm limited on time.. but I'm doing as much as I can when I can. ANYWAY . . . Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kH5Vrvpd…

I don't know how much longer the weather will hold so I'm trying to get this done quickly. I don't have anything to listen to right now except for the tires that need to be replaced. I've been working on this for ~ 4 days now, of and on. There have been many on this forum, too many to list, that have given suggestions on equipment and others that pushed me in the right direction in my mid bass thread. Thanks to all of you!! I soon will have a front stage that makes me want to just go out and listen again. The head unit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Eclipse AV 8533 for now. Just worked on a small sealed box for a 1988 Chevy Camaro Iroc-Z! Found a router laying around my autotech class, man. Looks pretty nice. And for my FI Q 18 box, I rounded it, sanded, fixing to paint the port and get some carpet! Pictures up later today

alright, so just after I get everything into the rocky, I find out that my dad might be getting his money from his dads IRA this coming week, and buying a newer Nissan Frontier, which would then make me the owner of a 92 Nissan Hardbody king cab so that I can sell my rocky and F150 and use the money to build a shed. (I work for them maintaining their rentals so I store a LOT of crap at my house (tons of paint, big tubs of paint supplies, plumbing parts/tools, electrical, etc...) anyways, I could siphon a bit of the money from the vehicle sales plus regular income for a build. I would once again reuse the Pioneer P600UB, maybe reuse the infinity 475a amp, and scrap everyth…

I decided to start the Build Log finally, unlike most it isnt complete and wont be finished in a month or two (as Im still making decisions and buying gear at the moment). I am going to start the build with what has been done in the trunk so far. Bare naked trunk, starting battery factory location (2 - 1/0 AWG Kicker Hyperflex, soon to be 2 - 3/0 Welding Cable runs of ground wire). Trunk with Carpet Sundown SAX-125.2 (for mids - all wiring will be upgraded to KnuKonceptz Kollossus 4 Gauge and KnuKonceptz Karma 16 ga. speaker wire).

  10. ok, first of all before I even ask this, I know having them behind me is not optimal, but right now the only speakers I have are xplod 6.5's behind me and its fine, this is one of the work rigs and it isnt getting anything fancy. pioneer 600UB infinity 475a audiobahn ABC600V audiobahn AW1051T if it works, cone moves with no coil-scraping sound, but it did sit in the shed for 3 years and got a little wet and the magnet cover got a little rusty... (I think its a 1051, got it years ago and the stickers fallen off the magnet) it is going to be a simple small sealed box down firing on the floor behind the front pass. seat (rear seat is removed and rear area is used for tools).…

Well after having my wife TELL me to go play in the garage and put in my other amp in my truck (a 2000 GMC Sierra Z71 ext cab) before it gets to cold, I did it and I'm so pleased w/the sound and looks. Here's a rundown of the equipment used. HU: Eclipse AVN6620 AMP: Audison LRx5.1k MIDS: Silver Flute W17RC38-4 (6 1/2") TWEETERS: Phoenix Gold Elite (1") made by Morel after their MT-23 tweeter SUBS: TREO SSi12.22 (12" dual 2 ohm VC) EQ: AudioControl DQS PROCESSOR: Phoenix Gold BassCube The Truck, HU, I had to modify the dash to fit the double din, as it WAS a din and a half. I still need to finish off the trim around it, but am going to wait until I have to pull the HU bac…

My next build will consist of two 12bl's fully loaded and an AQ2200d. The box will be ported and built to specs. Now the only problem im going facing is that when running 2200WRMS, do you have to upgrade your alternator? or will you be fine with the xs 3100d? I will only play my system 3/4 of the way up for about 10min every day. Big 3 upgrade is already done.

I'm doing a pair of old school JL 12W3s mainly because they have been sitting in my basement for 10 years and I'm sick of looking at them. 2 cubes each tuned to about 31hz or so. I will be using 4" areo ports also. Got started on them tonight.

Well I decided to ditch my dual 12 set up and go for a single 18 DC Level 4 XL in the back. I've been playing around with designs for the past week and finally settled on something. I went to Menards yesterday, got two sheet of MDF and went to work today. It's 6 cubes tuned to 36hz. After my Ebay sale is done on Sunday I'll order the 18 Monday, then I'm going to wait to attach the second baffle until I can make sure it fits good with the sub, and then come a little testing and Herculiner after I'm happy with everything.

Was not going for a show quality build the car gets driven from time to time. I have a few more things left to do (secure the box down, run bass remote up front, try cleaning up wiring a lil more). BL 12 fully loaded i followed the box cut sheets over in the Fi forum for a BL. Knu Konceptz 0 awg dual amp kit, Sundown 1200D and 50.4, didnt want to go to crazy or have to alter the car much so i am just running infinity 6x8's, in the stock locations with a pioneer avh-p4200dvd. This is what i wanted so i did alot of research on this forum over the last year so thanks for all the info. Need to do some sound deadening next probably gonna go with some raam mat.

Hi! I am rebuilding my whole system this summer. This build is going to be slow because I will be getting things as I get the money for them. My goals are: Loud, great sounding bass and mids/highs. Basically I want to have the ability to get loud when I want it, but I want it to sound good so when I'm just on my way to work the sound quality is still amazing. Trunk space doesn't really matter, but backseats do. I also want to upgrade my electrical system at some point. What kind of electrical engineer student would I be without a strong electrical lol. The plan so far is: AA Carbon Fiber Mids w/ Havoc ST010 tweeters (2 way active) 2 Xcon 15"'s or Death Penalty 15"'s Sund…

  20. So i just purchased a 12" fi q and while i wait for it to come in i would like to build the box for it. I want to build a ported box that will give it a real good sound when it pumps but i don't want it to but too large. If anyone has plans of their own or can suggest a site where i can get them for free (or fairly cheap) that would be great.

  23. Hey guys, just wanted to show my build I just got done a few weeks ago. I've had a quite of few different setups recently and am finally very happy with how it is now. My box is about 22 cubes after displacement with 320" of port area tuned to 32hz. All walls were doubled up, and the inside was fiberglassed and braced, its very strong and HEAVY! Each of the 40.1 amps are at 1 ohm, and my electrical consist of a DC power 250 amp alt. Kinetik 1800 up front and 600AH battery bank in the rear. Havent got in on the meter yet and honestly I'm not to concerned with it. This was meant to be a daily driving ground pounder, and it is definitely that. It gets LOWWW and loud and that…
