Figured I would get some pictures up of the stereo build up for my mustang. Nothing really over the top or crazy. Just wanting to improve on sound since its my DD. Quick pic of the car: IMG_0271 by riored4v, on Flickr Stereo so far: Stock HU AudioControl LC6i Audioque 1200d amp Knu wiring Infinity Kappa 6829CF speakers in the doors & rear deck 12" SSA ICON Originally had a 12" Image Dynamics IDQ setup that I was using previously. Worked well, but wanted more. Didn't initally want to go sealed, but the ported enclosure for the ICON was going to take too much space to work properly. The "skirt" underneath the box shows where the old ported enclosure came …

Here goes to the start of deadening my 02 Z71. Lots of deadening going in. 155 Sq ft. Raammat 5 or 6 Yards Ensolite 5 gallons and 1 quart of Spectrum GM's way of trying to stop you from removing the rear bolts on the front seats an 11mm 12 point did the trick. Also the front nuts on the front seat are removable with 15mm 12 point. Carpet is not so clean lol When I saw this clip for the first time I thought "I'll come at you like a spider monkey!" The rear light needs to be removed before dropping the headliner to disconnect the light More pics to come

Hey guys this is my first attempt at an active sound system in my 2007 GMC Sierra classic body. My goals are to achieve good all around sound with a little bump at all volumes, nothing too crazy im not going to be competing. My budget was ~$1000 and plan to keep as much of the install stock looking since theft is high here in Tucson. I been piecing this together over the past few months and is getting closer to install hopefully i can start this weekend. Here is what I have as of now: Head Unit - Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD Front stage – Dayton 6 ½” Classic DC160s-4 & Dayton Classic DC28F-8 Front stage amp – Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 RCAs & Speaker wire from Mono Pri…

Nevermind, found it Stealth FTMFW! It's not going to win any best install awards anytime soon....but I was pretty happy with myself for finding that little cubby area to hide it in And yes....everything is dirty and I need to clean. And come to think of it.......I actually think this is the first time I've posted any pics of any of my installs on the forums

Its a little early as I have not even purchased the subwoofers yet but I'm excited! So here is the plan. Ill be running my 2004 Impala in the street trunk class so I'm limited to 4000 watts. I'll be running two 15" Icons with a nice big aeroport. Still trying to figure out amplifier situation but the Crescendo 3500d seems like a good choice. Full 0 gauge with a group 31 in the trunk. Hoping to do a lot of testing, and have a lot of fun. Representing SSA in the Great White North.

This box is a rebuild due to his last box apparently never being built correctly. A 15yr old guy on ca.com that seems to do decent work built his last box, but it was rattling from day one and Ben thought it was the sub, and I, telling him the whole time it sounded like either his hatch or the box. Either way, the top plate of the box seperated from the enclosure walls and really rattled, making this setup un-playable. So we decided to build him a new one. Ernie started this box yesterday and we finished it up today. old box. new box. we'll have to get some video's of this thing now. It flexs everything in his car, digs down nice and low and distorts my voice e…

Im putting a system in my 2003 QC dodge pickup. Im putting in a 10" XCON and a Black Ice 1300.1 Amp which measures in at 16x8.25x2. I plan to raise the back seat a little over an inch with steel square tubing i have. I have 3/4" MDF, lifetime supply of 2oz cloth, liquid nail wood glue, and all of the odds and ends i need to build the setup, but im stuck on how i should shape the box/place the amp. I originally planned to do a setup just like this, until today when i remembered i had a split bench rear seat! And my rear seat..

Hey guys, just wanted to show my build I just got done a few weeks ago. I've had a quite of few different setups recently and am finally very happy with how it is now. My box is about 22 cubes after displacement with 320" of port area tuned to 32hz. All walls were doubled up, and the inside was fiberglassed and braced, its very strong and HEAVY! Each of the 40.1 amps are at 1 ohm, and my electrical consist of a DC power 250 amp alt. Kinetik 1800 up front and 600AH battery bank in the rear. Havent got in on the meter yet and honestly I'm not to concerned with it. This was meant to be a daily driving ground pounder, and it is definitely that. It gets LOWWW and loud and that…

More like big two cause I didnt ground the alt to the chassis. There wasnt any dedicated ground post on the stock alt so I thought I would put it in later. Thought the other two were the most important anyway. Maybe when I get a new alt for her, I'll do the third. That will be expensive though! Should have done this a long time ago but I was off work due to the weather today. What better time to do it then now? Had to get some new battery post terminals as they wouldnt work with my 1/0 terminals. Put the black loom on there to make it look nice too. It was lying around so why not? Right off the batt I could tell the difference. The lights dont dim anymore and it even seem…

I have a sundown scv-4000 amp, wired at one ohm. The sub's are 12" Zv4's sitting in a 4 cubic ft box, tuned at 40hz but loudest at 48hz. I have a 300 amp alternator wired with the big 3. All the wires 1\0 gauge. I have one Xs d3100 battery. Door speakers are 6 " Morels components. Rear deck are 6x9's morel components. Head unit is pioneer DEH-08prs. Vehical is 2002 KIA spectra ls. The KIA has Mojo Mat in the interior and trunk double lined on head liner. The doors are done inside and outer side. The system is hitting 141.1 on the DB's. The amp has been tuned if that makes sense? I have a few pics more to follow.

I picked up this car recently and wanted to toss in some equipment that I've had laying around BNIB for years. I don't know how much of it will fit or how to make it work but I'd like to use all of it if possible. This is all the same stuff I was going to install in the old Merc. That car didn't work out and was sold a few years ago. I'm going to attempt to install this myself again but was looking for pointers so I don't fuck anything up along the way. I've been looking at a few videos on how to take the interior apart etc. Not gonna go crazy like I did last time tho. I think when it gets here, I will start with the h/o alty and the big 3. I bought an alt from Mechm…

Hello world. Well, here's my Civic build. It's a simple SQ setup. Front stage: 2way DLS UR6i Sub: mac Audio Aliante 10" Black LTD Front amp: Helix H400 Esprit Sub amp: Steg QM 220.2 Stock HU as signal source and re-used Pioneer P88RS as signal processor. (HU>LOC>P88 aux in) It's an unusual configuration, works for now, but I'm really thinking about an Audison Bit Ten. Doors were deadened with SilentCoat, but I still have some work to do on them. Cables are AWG4, and hand"crafed" RCAs. Here's the car - or egg-shaped rocket ship, as some may call it: Old picture of the dash, pre-install (the same, but OEM tweeters): Overall requirements of the install…

I thought it might be fun to chuck this up here. The lada has moved on now, but it was a great learning experience. The idea behind the lada was to learn more about SPL, learn about walls and apply some theoretical knowledge I had. I covered SS 1-2NW, Street Max 1-2 with 1 sub, then a second sub. In the end, I maxed out at 152.6dB which I thought was quite good off 1 batt and a 4000D. Here we go - please note that the text accompanying the pictures is just a straight cut and paste of when i wrote it up on the local forums. --------------- Okay, so I decided to start a little bit early on the SS 1-2 NW box. Early meaning start a week out before hand instead of 3 days This…
