Ok Guys, Its been going on for a while, but I though it was time to put up some pictures. Just to let you guys know I dont have my own garage and most things have been imported. The problem is good gear are either redicilously exspensive or not availeble at all. First Ill start with my old setup then move on to the work in progress. Here she is in my garage. Below was how it was before. (no comments lol) It is far from perfect hence the change. It played fairly clean, and loud ..mind you it was a bit peaky though. Dont mind the words in the window. The pic was taken of our local forum after one of the meetups More pics coming soon...

It's finally time to re-do some things. Should be selling some stuff this weekend, which means I'm going to buy some plywood and build some diffrent enclosures for the mains (also put the HDS tweeters to use). Porting the ca18's should bring out a bit more mid-bass Since the Rl-i is going in the car because of space limitations and I've always wanted an 18, I'm going to replace it with an xxx. I've already started the box for it...here is where I am now : 1 inch mdf, undecided wether to flush mount it or not (baffle is going to be double). Still need a couple more braces and a magnet support after seeing how fragile is the basket, more precisely the mounting lip. ]

  5. Picked up another Orphan 8" from Mike a couple weeks ago. These things are badass. Here is the box. & the port & to fully understand the design, Box is .91cuft tuned to 30hz, and so far I think it really likes this box. Just finished it tonight so I didnt get to really crank it up (wife yelled at me for shaking the house at 11pm ) but it has a great sound to it. I will post a vid when I get a chance.

i have a '96 toyota t100 and was going to put two 12's in it but have no idea where i should put it. The back seat has no space under and i was wondering if it is at all possible to drop the bottom out just to where i could fit my speakers or if i just just put them under the driver and passenger seat.

Last system consisted of a sundown audio 3k on 2 re Sex 10's and a sundown 125.2 on the factory door speakers. Plan is to get a sundown 50.4, alpine H701(to be run with an alpine w200) and some hertz 3 way components. Going from 10's to 12's and a forward firing box sealed off. Here is a video of the previous system Box was tuned to 30hz. Well here is the tear down and rebuild process Bye Bye Blew 1 10 last week and put a cover over the hole so I could still have some tunes for the time being.

  11. OEM stereo -> Audiocontrol EQL -> Soundqubed Q1.750 -> Rockford PPS4-6 and Morel MDT-12 & Soundqubed Q1-750 -> Sundown SA-12D2 Quick snap. Box is big and awkward. Its turns up around 2ft3 after sub and port displacment. The box nex to it is for a 2nd battery (XS D3100, I know that is too big for the little amp, but got that battery when I had a SQ Q1-2200). Sad thing is I need a 2nd battery even for that 750w amp. Maybe I should buy a smaller battery. But it;s easy to build a new box,. So i'll see how this all works out in the next couple weeks.

New box I built for my truck. It fits a whole lot better. I'm still waiting for my new port to come in but heres a picture with an old port. I'm not sure how I should finish the box. I wanted to paint it the color of my truck which is ford's orange/red rust color but I can't find anything close to it in stores. I'm hoping you guys can give me some new suggestions on how I should finish it. Once the port comes in I'll take pictures of it in my truck and let you know how it sounds.

I noticed I never posted this here and thought some here who don't visit the other site may enjoy it. It's and old school RF build in my wifes Camry. She wanted all old school RF equipment because she liked the look of them when I used them in her first car in the early to mid 90s. I couldn't argue because I like their performance. I chose IB on the subs to keep as much trunk for her as possible. The only piece that isn't old school is the 3sixty. I couldn't see using a symmetry unit over the 3sixty. Symmetry was only a little less than getting the 3sixty and the 3sixty has way more flexibility. Equipment.

But here are some pics... Here are some crappy build pics from my cell phone Here are some pictures of the SSD's Let me know what you guys think, the first enclosure already rattles the house. YOu can feel the ground outside the basement pulsate... The first enclosure as been carpeted I am still workin…
