Last system consisted of a sundown audio 3k on 2 re Sex 10's and a sundown 125.2 on the factory door speakers. Plan is to get a sundown 50.4, alpine H701(to be run with an alpine w200) and some hertz 3 way components. Going from 10's to 12's and a forward firing box sealed off. Here is a video of the previous system Box was tuned to 30hz. Well here is the tear down and rebuild process Bye Bye Blew 1 10 last week and put a cover over the hole so I could still have some tunes for the time being.

Brand new F-250 Super Duty King Ranch trim. I'm currently installing: Focal K2P in the front doors Focal Access 165A1s in the rear doors. I'm not so sure about the layout on the previous years, but the 2008 super duty has a 5x7 in the C pillar, and a tweeter in the rear door panel. So we are putting a enclosure in one of the storage pockets in the rear door panel to hold the access woofer, and fitting the tweeter in the stock location and eliminating the factory 5x7 in the pillar. Alpine 4.150 JL 250.1 to power a JL w3 10" woofer. I tore apart the center armrest storage compartment and fitting a sealed box for the w3, the 10" woofer just barely fits in the compartment a…

So i did a build in my wife's car awhile back. It's a simple build just added a 10" sub for a little added bass. So i am going to start on my wife's car with a custom enclosure in the trunk. Its a 2012 toyota corolla and i will place it in the wheel well area. This is going to be a slow and learning process as i only get an hour or so a day, if that. A few starting pics... So i thought it would be easier for me to take it out to start with the taping and prep work. Also once i get to fiber glassing I would not want it to be smelling like fiber glass in her car.

It's finally time to re-do some things. Should be selling some stuff this weekend, which means I'm going to buy some plywood and build some diffrent enclosures for the mains (also put the HDS tweeters to use). Porting the ca18's should bring out a bit more mid-bass Since the Rl-i is going in the car because of space limitations and I've always wanted an 18, I'm going to replace it with an xxx. I've already started the box for it...here is where I am now : 1 inch mdf, undecided wether to flush mount it or not (baffle is going to be double). Still need a couple more braces and a magnet support after seeing how fragile is the basket, more precisely the mounting lip. ]

After a little break in I'll hook up the Digital Designs DD-C2a bridged @2ohms. Shout out to John23a for the design help. Enclosure is .7 @33hz Onto the pics:

  12. OEM stereo -> Audiocontrol EQL -> Soundqubed Q1.750 -> Rockford PPS4-6 and Morel MDT-12 & Soundqubed Q1-750 -> Sundown SA-12D2 Quick snap. Box is big and awkward. Its turns up around 2ft3 after sub and port displacment. The box nex to it is for a 2nd battery (XS D3100, I know that is too big for the little amp, but got that battery when I had a SQ Q1-2200). Sad thing is I need a 2nd battery even for that 750w amp. Maybe I should buy a smaller battery. But it;s easy to build a new box,. So i'll see how this all works out in the next couple weeks.

Can't wait till my 2200.1 comes in!!!! Also, how does 6 cubes @ 32 hz sound? Anyone know how much port area I need for this?

But here are some pics... Here are some crappy build pics from my cell phone Here are some pictures of the SSD's Let me know what you guys think, the first enclosure already rattles the house. YOu can feel the ground outside the basement pulsate... The first enclosure as been carpeted I am still workin…

  22. I used to frequent this site quite a bit as a young basshead, but adulthood changes things as most of you probably know. I still have passion and love for bass and I'm excited to finally be able to put a system back in my car as I'll be driving a lot for my new job. I know the basics of car audio to an extent, but still need some help with some elementary questions and decisions. The plan is to install my 12" SSA GCON powered by a Sundown SAZ-1000D that I ran in my Jeep a few years ago in my current car which is a 2014 Accord. What I do need is a line out converter, a secondary battery, and wiring for the big three upgrade. Here's what it looks like in the trunk …

Not much exciting going on. 2008 Saturn Vue Stock HU Stock door speakers MTX RFL600D 12" Adire Audio Shiva in 1.21 cubic feet sealed The factory speakers sound pretty good, but are little harsh. I do plan on replacing them in the future, but they will hold me over for now. The HU will probably stay. Onto the pics. Like I said, not much, but it will hold me over for a while. The bass knob is way under the dash and is kind of hard/dangerous to adjust while driving (most of my driving is done at 65 mph). I'd like to move it to the center console somewhere so it's right there within arms reach, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing it.…
