well i finallllyyyy get my mustang back in a few days from doing the T5 transmission swap. i have been slowly but surely getting a system together for it. This system is not meant to get loud and rattle everything apart. i listen to country and rock MOSTLY when i drive. but i rarley listen to the music because i LOVE listening to the sound of the V8 under the hood and duel exhaust anyways, here is what i have so far.... 2 12" kicker CVR's 1 kicker ZR240 (oldschool made in U.S.A amp ) and pioneer speakers all around. now my question is should i get a sealed box for the 12's, or ported? eventually (when the money is there) im switching to either 1 RE audio 12, 1 Fi audio…

Hey Everyone, I've been reading this forums for a while and only recently created an account to start posting. This has become my favorite car audio site, especially since it has a great interface for my phone at work Anyways, here's the first car I bought, a 96 v6 Camry xle, and it is time to start it's journey in car audio. It will be a long one as I like to save for a while and buy bigger after learning my lesson going cheap and regretting/wanting more. I won't post my plans for the car as they change somewhat every time i sit down and put some thought to it. I'll mainly be updating as parts show up on my doorstep, past the point of no return for me haha. Heres…

System 1: For me 12" FI BTL UFO DVC 1 OHM wired to .5 OHM Old School MMATS DHCx2200.05 amp = 2200wrms @.5 OHM & 13.8v or 2300wrms with 14.4v Box tuned to 34hz This system isn't currently installed.. it was in the trunk of my Jaguar for many years and it sounded good and got loud (Not competition loud) I never had it metered so I'm not sure what the SPL was probably 140ish.. I'm going to be installing it in my Ford Explorer pretty soon. System 2: For my wife MA 3600wrms amp thats overrated due to the fact that they rated it at 17volts. The amp is approx 3000wrms at 14.4 volts. Not the greatest amp...But I got a good deal, I picked this up for $150 used off craigslist.…

Ok this is my truck. I posted it here before. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I just started the basics I shaved my xm and onstar off the roof. I installed a factory second battery and dual optimas. Looking into dual alternator bracket. installed a pioneer head unit with steeling wheel controls and bose amp interface Uploaded with ImageShack.us I tore out my back seat and am adding a sub. Trying to see what and where I can fit everything. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I finally found my wind noise it was the stupid cab vents. I am looking into soundproofing options. After much searching I have decided to use an adhesive a little like the sds site and cover it wi…

i never posted this when i first installed it all over a year ago. originally it was supposed too stay small, but that went out the window. so i will just post some of the older photos first just too give an idea of what it was. in the pics i show only one of many different sub stage setups. the original idea was the pdx 1200rms amp that put out rated from 2 to 4 ohms, so i could run at least one of every type of sub i have as i please. this is my ride this was the equipment. this was the most common sub stage i used with the pdx amp, it is a passive setup, i would rotate from the sdx15 pictured, an eclipse 3hp ti, or a tc3000. and this below is were it stands as of n…

I just want to say thanks to all who helped me with this purchase. I absolutely love my Death Row. All I have been doing is driving around listening to music. Everything sounds great on it, and rap is just crazy. I know there are way louder systems then mine, but mine is plenty loud and sounds really good also. Thanks SSA for the great support and great forum, Thanks Incriminator for making such a bad ass product!!! Here are some pics from beginning to end. Box is 2.2 cubes at 31hz, Port area is 25^2 inches. Again, I would like to say thanks to all who helped. This forum is the best I have ever been apart of and the support is awsome. SSA and IA have a new…

This is the optimal design for the X Con 18. My BTL 18 is going to be going into it. I got the design from the site here, thanks SSA! I've still got a lot of sanding to do. I did all of this last weekend. I'll be finishing it up this weekend. I've still got a lot of wiring to do. I've got a 270 amp Mechman alternator to put in. I've got 50 foot of 1/0, which I'm hoping will be enough. I think I'm going to use my starting battery I've got, a Napa 70 series or something, I'll have to look at the specs and post if anyones interested. I've got a big Wal-Mart brand battery with dual terminals I'm going to put in the back. I'll probably eventually get some better batteries once…

This is my first sub box. I've done some other carpentry stuff before but have always been too scared to try and build a sub box in fear it would sound like chit and be a total waste of effort. It's 2 cubes tuned at 41hz. I'm trying to get more spl out of my sub on 500 watts to give me an edge in the basic 1 class in my local circuit. I hit 135.5db on my current setup but that may not get er done. I could have finished much sooner if I had more clamps. I'll glue the top down tonight after I find my tie down straps and do the pseudo-in law family Easter gig. I almost forgot to add the part about my girlfriend's wisdom teeth being taken out Friday. Puffy puffy cheeks.

The box is not finished yet, sorry not more pictures of the build to busy, but i still have to router the port the top and paint it, and I may even cut an inch of the box out somewhere bc it is a little to tall but we will see. Amps should be where wednesday I hope, and with them i still have to run power and ground to the back and get another battery and a new atternater but atternater will probably be the last thing i buy. Thats all for now but it's in and pounding

Hey y'all! So I've had this little home theater project going in my mind for quite a while consisting of 4 15" DCONS and at this point I've collected the amp for the project and a pair of DCONS. At the same time, I've been trying to sell my old box I used for a pair of SA 15's on craigslist for about half a year. I decided to put two and two together and run the DCON's in my old box. I recalculated the box specifications for the DCONS. It's 7 net cubes at ~32hz. From the SSA site it seems like the DCON's like bigger ported boxes than the SA's... If i find the box unsatisfying i'll just cutout most of my baffle, leaving some edge like a picture frame, and then adding more…

Hi everyone ! I own a brand new MAzda CX-5 2.2 l Diesel. It's my first SUV, I've never had so much room in the cargo area ! I'm still waiting on a dash kit and an adaptor for the head unit.
