  5. Started by SS Teacher,

This is my first build log, please lower any expectations of competency... The system- Raxiom (rebadged Rosen unit) HU- got it because it integrate perfectly with the factory media and had NAV. Zed Audio Mikro 4 channel Rockford Fosgate T500 bd JBL Power Series 6 1/2" components in the front front (no speakers go in the doors (I take them off as often as possible)) Bravox 5 1/4" components in the sound bar (custom made mounting ring, CLD tiles to help the flimsy plastic) SSA XCON 10" in a ported box designed by the SSA store and built with the help of my buddy. It's my (and his) first speaker box built.

  6. Hello, I haven't logged into this site in probably 6 years. Hello again. At any rate I recently acquired a new to me vehicle, a 2004.5 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax. I haven't had any interest in car audio for a long time but I bought this truck and it has some odd Kenwood head unit and factory speakers which sound really bad, even by factory speaker standards. I planned on just getting a pair of speakers for the doors and calling it a day, while shopping I got the idea to do some other stuff with things I found in my garage. It won't be anything fancy but it will do the trick hopefully. I also don't want to spend very much money. The truck came with a …

Been awhile buty I'm still around. Pulled the 4 18's out and sold one 7500. Gonne run these 2 X18's on the other 7500 at .5. in a makeshift 6th order. I hate the the idea of flexing the whole truck like other truck before with this box.. So im gonna wall it at the B-Pillar and use the top section and shell it in and make a loading wall. 370amp Mechman Elite and 2 3400's, will add another 3100 for the back.

Just a few snapshots of equipment I have sitting around for this build log since it will start officially tomorrow. No pictures of the car till tomorrow when it arrives, everything under the hood is new besides the engine so right now that is my focus since it has over 200,000 miles. I will replace the primary battery with a XS Power D2400 and I will put a D3100 in the trunk with the sounds. Need to find out how Im gonna go about the center console since I cant find any dash kits for the car, need to find room for either a single-din or double-din and my Audio Control Epic-160. I may take the navigation out but I dont know as of yet, we will see (I dont have the software …

  16. So, I ordered two 15 inch sundown audio x-15 d4's I'll be running at 1ohm I have been looking for box plans so I don't have to do all the math myself! I would really like the subs facing up and ported! I have a ton of room to work with. 36" deep x 47" wide x 21" high. of course it can be smaller if possible. I have found a box I really like but the website that has it wants $50 for the plans. I really don't want to spend $50 on a PDF files with measurements and then still have to buy the MDF, glue, screws etc and then build it. So if anyone could offer some help here on building a box maybe a website or just toss me some plans that would be great This would…

  20. Started by Kylar96,

Had a meh RF build in this 5 or so years ago. Sold the blazer, and trying for a small trunk build. Car is a acura tsx. K24, 6 speed manual. Not fast at all, but a bit fun to drive. Id love to be able to 499 out of it. Time will tell. Cruise set... still got 30mpg on the trip. Im hoping for 3 ampere audio dream comp sets in, in total. 2 up front, and one in the rear, all on 2 ampere audio 125.4's Some vibra flex for the skins... Sounds crazy, but, ive had a d3100 under the hood, in the OEM location in this before. So, ordered a new Rear bank (2 are sold to my nevada buddy) Swag here and there My boy, sending some goods. My 6th singer,.... just p…

  23. Hey Guys, I've been absent from the forums for a while now, and thought I'll check back in with everyone. Longs story, just been really busy, and this year has been one hell of a roller-coaster. I didn't make as many shows as I wanted this year, because of problems I kept running into, but next year should be a much different story! Anyways, enjoy some pictures, ask some questions, and stay loud folks! 4 subs, 4 amps, out of 6 subs, 6 amps at world finals. Took 4th and 5th place for my 2 classes . That pretty much brings everything up to date. Currently running; 1) DC Power 240hp 2) 6 Taramps HD10ks 3) 1 Juice Box Lithium 80ah 4) 6…
