Well I've started the Ram finally. The tranny is about toast, but I'll deal with that when she gives up. So far I'm just started on wiring. I gutted it and started the wiring yesterday--and cleaned the moldy carpet (door seals are bad and getting replaced)... only about 3 hours invested so far. I didn't do before pics, really didn't think about it. here's some deadener. All I did is replace what was bad of the factory deadener. I have no intent on keeping this truck so I don't care to go all out on it. the factory deadener was crumbling from the excessive water that's been on the floor board. this is about all the deadener you need on the back to keep it from hu…

I received a phone call last night at work from a friend who I have not seen in several months. He moved for our company to start up a new facility. He has done may wild builds in the past some of which I ask him to post. He recently started an account here and ask me to start his build log. So far he has purchased: 8 Kicker cvr 15"s 2 Hifonics XXV Colossus amps Audio Control Epic-160 4 sets of Kicker ds650.2 Deka batteries (not sure of size) He is going to putting this in a Ford minivan and is currently planning on going with a sealed sub enclosure. I am sure that I have forgotten something, but once his membership is approved he will set the build straight. He is inte…

So me and Jake met up today with Edgar in San Marcos to give him his custom made enclosure that he ordered from us made for 2 18 bls. Too big for our cars to carry so we had to take the tahoe I even gave it my signature blessing for maximum spl. Jake liked it so much he wanted to live in the dammed thing. The box came out really nice; ready for vynil, carpet, rhinoliner, you name it! Here are some pics. pix whatever you kids call them these days. Thanks again Edgar!

I decided to build a kind of fart box for a local comp to get higher scores. and while i was designing it i thought i could make a second port for daily use and shove it through my backseat. I wanted to get a box for two 15s in the car but the most space i could get with the design i had in mind was 2.375 cubes per sub and i want more. so ill be using this box for this month then work out a new design based on this new box to get 2 15s in my trunk. this box will be a little over 4 cubes, with an external flared port, and lots of threaded rod and carriage bolts. i spent most of the day getting this far

Here are pics of "Moms Soccer Van" before it goes in for custom vinyl graphics. Rear windows have been blacked out and urethane sealed To prevent flexing. Passive crossovers flushed into the passenger side under seat drawer. Refer all questions to 02skidoo as I only assisted on the dampening and tweeter install and brainstorming. Brian did all the rest himself. All dampening is Rockford Fosgate Deadskin (1 layer roof and sidewalls) Alt is from Ohio Generator and 3 Kinetik's. Could use a couple more. Now all I need to do is talk the Owner into Sundown and others!

This box is a rebuild due to his last box apparently never being built correctly. A 15yr old guy on ca.com that seems to do decent work built his last box, but it was rattling from day one and Ben thought it was the sub, and I, telling him the whole time it sounded like either his hatch or the box. Either way, the top plate of the box seperated from the enclosure walls and really rattled, making this setup un-playable. So we decided to build him a new one. Ernie started this box yesterday and we finished it up today. old box. new box. we'll have to get some video's of this thing now. It flexs everything in his car, digs down nice and low and distorts my voice e…

I know these are just a few and baaaaad pictures, but i wanna show you what im very proud of... This is the thing the enclosure is made of, a stock part of the car which is in the trunk. Finished (fibreglassed and mdf baffle)... Installed Its 1.4 cuft after displacements tuned to 36 hz.... Sound really nice and because the enclosure is screwed in the cars chassis everthing vibrates Its complete stealth after the orginal plate is over the sub.. I know my language sucks but i hope you understand and see whats done faezich And one last question: Looking for someone who can do blueprints for an spl comp. enclosure (flared port?!?) for my spl car ...?

Took advantage of some free time and the nice weather to get started on my box for the DLS sub. let's get some wood cut eh? pieces all cut out and ready for assembly one more piece to go! ready to start marking and cutting out the hole for the flared port opening. the port on the inside. excuse the huge glare from the sun :\ covering the mounting area so the spray won't get on it. a peek inside through the port opening. lots of clearance between the motor and port tune. done! it's 1.62 cubic feet ported and tuned to 35Hz. i haven't installed it into the car yet...ran out of daylight and the mosquitos are out in full force. i'll get it into the car as s…
