I would not call this a true build log as most of the work is already completed, but of course I am proud of the work I have done to the vehicle. I invite you all to take a look at my gallery in the Sentra Stereo album. Any and all feedback is welcome. This is my first build of an entire car on my own. Of course we are never truely finished with stereos now are we? haha. Things I do plan on adding down the road is a new XS power battery and an H.O. alt for the system and I will be done as far as the electrical goes. I hope you all enjoy the pictures and if there are any comments, suggestions, or any tips/tricks feel free to enlighten me of course. 2004 Nissan Sentra Bu…

I'm new to the SSA forum, posting from San Antonio, TX. I recently installed a 12 inch Xcon d1 in my civic, thought I'd let you guys check it out... So far Ive installed a new head unit, sub and amp, speaker amp and 6x9's in the rear, custom trunk floor and "the big three". I've also "sound deadened" the rear deck, rear quarter panels (two door civic), rear pillars and floor with a mix of a quick roof type product, some carpet padding called hair mat and typical 3/4 in" open celled carpet foam. Unfortunately I didn't get any good pix of the deadening installation so I'll post what I have so far. Its mostly box build pix and my custom trunk floor but I'll definitely post …

First and foremost thanks a million to Nem who set me up with an awesome Zed Lev and answered all of my questions I had. I finally got a finished build that I'm pretty happy with. Maybe a few more things to do down the road but that's to be seen. Sorry for the large pictures. My work is pretty shoddy, especially with that ensolite foam but it works well.Everything sounds great, this is my first build that I dont have a massive amount of space to work with. All of this tucks away nicely behind the rear seat. Alright well, this is my second real system. My first one was a package deal with sony xplods!!!!! hah anyways, they sounded good for the price but after a LONG time of thinking, and I'm talking very long, I decided on the BTL. I have most of the stuff for the install, but this will be a pretty long one due to school, and my resources. I have an 02 explorer xlt. Here is a pic of it: I already have the remote wire, and the RCA's installed on the stock head unit (upgrading that later when I get more $$), and a 200 amp alternator. Heres what has to go in: (2 batterys) (third battery, can't decide if I want to put all 3, just the other two, or just this one?) I'll …

i recently bought the ssa icon 18'' and and ive been through all kind of boxes with my charger and seems like it is nothing but a bass sponge back there. so i was wondering about this in my new build, i plan on sealing the box off from the trunk in maybe a 5 or 6cuft sealed box, ive tried ported but im just not getting the results i want, which previously it sounded better sealed. so basiclly all im asking is do u think a sealed box for this 18'' will sound good sealed of from the trunk? any help is appreciated.

Ok, so it's not exactly a build log (and not sure if this is the right place) because I just don't get around to taking pictures when I'm working, but I thought I'd at least post a couple pictures and a list of what I have, as well as a brief review of the products I used. So what we have here is a 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T AWD. Yeah, it's got a Hemi. It's pretty loaded with nav and heated seats and some other goodies. With the navigation system comes a Boston 6 speaker system, which honestly is not too bad, decent midbass/midrange, bass isn't bad, highs are a little weak. I kept the factory head unit in place. The factory nav system is a 6 disc mp3 changer and actually a pre…
