I recently did a Cadillac Escalade ESV for a buddy of mine with (2) Fi BL 18's with the flatwound coil and cooling option. Built the box to 14.63 cubic feet with the port tuned to 33 hertz. Wrapped it in vinyl to match the interior of the vehicle and did a big "Fi" logo on the back of the box (notice the logo is an "innie", not an "outie".The amp, for now, is a Hifonics BXI2010D that puts out 1752 watts RMS. I will be swapped with a Rockford Fosgate T40001bd eventually. Built to be a daily driver. Here it is: Sounds great. Real nice quality and it really hits the lows nice, but it just isn't near as loud as it could be with the right amount of power goin…

Alpine CDA-9886(looked to cool like this to post a pic with the flash on) Im actually considering going back to my Panasonic CQ-7303U for the extra settings and motorized faceplate.

I figured I would go ahead and start a build log to keep track of my progress. My current vehicle is a 1994 GMC Jimmy 4 door 4wd. I haven't had a system in any of my vehicles in a very long time, and for some reason i got the itch. So, this build began. The Truck: First, I built this box to put in it, 4 ft^3 tuned to 33Hz (Thanks to Duane on this forum for the design): I hadn't used a jig saw in quite some time and was a bit rusty, so the speaker cutouts were too big and they were leaking. I was going to replace the top panel and redo the cuts, but before I could do that I had someone stop by the shop and offer me some cash for the box so I sold it before i was able…

I've driven around my 2006 altima about six months now listening to the factory BOSE system. While it is nice, I felt it somewhat lacking. Thus I began my search. I've come to decide that I would like to build an SQ oriented daily driver from scratch with my only contraint being time. I'll have to tackle this in the few hours I have after work in the evenings. Enough of my life story, on to the build. Source Alpine IVA-W200 with video bypass, bluetooth interface, and IPOD adapter. (Shipping) Alpine PXA-H701 (Planned) eD Nine.5 & Nine.4 - can't complain much, they were free BNIB from my brother-in-law. Front Stage Second Skin Damplifier Pro and Luxury Liner (Planned) …

Well I finished building the box, besides Lowes not very good job at cutting wood (the very end up the left side of the port is probably 1/2 inch short), I think it came out pretty nice considering it is my first box. It is 7.75 cufeet tuned to 30 hz. Well here it is- The design by BuckyBoy Setting it up seeing how well all the pieces fit together Doing something Showing how huge the box is Putting it together drawing a hole Cut the circle

So it finally got delivered last night at around 1030 pm from Rutland VT. I have always dreamed of owning a muscle era car, and decided that this year instead of building a computer or blowing my money elsewhere, that I would look for a project car with my tax return. After several weeks of looking, this is what I have found. The car is home, and after adding some gas it started right up. The stainless steel brake lines I ordered for the car have arrived, and after a short test drive today, I found out that it has either an oil or cooling system problem, and an evident misfire. That being said, this is a long term project that I hope to keep you guys in the l…

so here is kind of a work log for the new bass i gots goin on. The box was designed an built by Rich aka Stratusrt01. it's by far the best, loudest, cleanest box i've heard for a single 12. I would extremely reccomend getting a box from him. the butt end tinsels portage (don't mind the small pile of dust also ups kinda dinged the box and ripped the carpet by the port, not Rich's fault) and full trunk

Just about finished it all up today, got a few more things to touch up but for the most part it is done. First off thanks to Matt at MCOR for giving me a hell of a deal and JL for coming through in the clutch and sending me a free t-shirt! The goal of the install was to get much improved sound while keeping it stealthy. I choose to go with JL Audio C5-650 Components powered off a Sundown 100.2 still with the factory head unit. The mids were placed into the stock locations, with baffles made onto the 6x9 brackets and the tweets placed into the kicks. Just about all the wires were techflexed, heatshrunk, and labeled for cleaniness and ease of install. The amplifier and…

This was an interesting design for this guy. Design calls for 2 boxes. One specifically for daily driving music and another for straight competition. The designs are for an SUV. Setup- 4 Sundown SA-8s off of 2 Sundown SAE-1200ds Daily Driver- 3.6cuft tuned to ~31hz Now for the almighty SPL box. A true spl box is one that can be continuously modified until maximum output is found. This doesn't just mean port length tuning but firing direction too! The following box design is an interchangeable baffle. Yep, you read that right, interchangeable baffle with 4 position port firing locations capable PLUS the capability of fine tuning this box from 32.5Hz - 62Hz. Please Note, T…
