Well my initial build at the moment is relatively complete, but of course I have future plans. Therefore Ill just post some pictures and you can comment and ask questions about the build if you wish. Ill add more pictures when I get back home, next week. Im thinking of doing fiberglass doors with an 8" mid, 6.5" mid, and a supertweet. Then add two more dcons, maybe ported maybe sealed, not sure.. If that doesnt do it for me, Im thinking SSA Icon 18s.

Hi guys, here are a few pictures of my install. I changed some wires, changed the fused distribution block. I put a 150 A ANL fuse for the saz 1500. The install is not too clean, but it is not for shows, only for my listening pleasure ! How it was before : and now : Sorry for the poor quality of the pics, I only used my blackberry bold !

More like big two cause I didnt ground the alt to the chassis. There wasnt any dedicated ground post on the stock alt so I thought I would put it in later. Thought the other two were the most important anyway. Maybe when I get a new alt for her, I'll do the third. That will be expensive though! Should have done this a long time ago but I was off work due to the weather today. What better time to do it then now? Had to get some new battery post terminals as they wouldnt work with my 1/0 terminals. Put the black loom on there to make it look nice too. It was lying around so why not? Right off the batt I could tell the difference. The lights dont dim anymore and it even seem…

This box is for a 18" RD Alpha V1 6.75ft^3 net tuned to 34hz with 111 in^2 of port (this thing is HUGE) Due to the size I have to do the carpet a little different so I figured this would be a great time to try this out.

I recently did a Cadillac Escalade ESV for a buddy of mine with (2) Fi BL 18's with the flatwound coil and cooling option. Built the box to 14.63 cubic feet with the port tuned to 33 hertz. Wrapped it in vinyl to match the interior of the vehicle and did a big "Fi" logo on the back of the box (notice the logo is an "innie", not an "outie".The amp, for now, is a Hifonics BXI2010D that puts out 1752 watts RMS. I will be swapped with a Rockford Fosgate T40001bd eventually. Built to be a daily driver. Here it is: Sounds great. Real nice quality and it really hits the lows nice, but it just isn't near as loud as it could be with the right amount of power goin…

Going to start on my semi-SQ build today. Can't really call it a true SQ build as of now because of a few things that I'm sure will be pointed out by the SQ guys on here. Headunit: Pioneer deh-7800mp EQ: Rockford Fosgate Symmetry Amp: Sundown SAX-100.4 Mids and Highs: 2 sets of CDT EF-61CF's CDT Imaging mid-tweeters in the A pillars Subs: Sundown SD-1 12's Enclosure: Chambered Transmission line tuned to provide a nearly flat curve from 20-65hz. Gonna get started on the build this evening, and on Tuesday my Termlab should be here, and I'll get some base numbers, even though, as you can tell, this isn't going to be a ground shaker. My RTA should be here soon, and th…

  16. I posted this over at ca.com and I thought I would post it over here too. Here ya go. Well I finished building the box, besides Lowes not very good job at cutting wood (the very end up the left side of the port is probably 1/2 inch short), I think it came out pretty nice considering it is my first box. It is 7.75 cufeet tuned to 30 hz. Well here it is- The design by BuckyBoy Setting it up seeing how well all the pieces fit together Doing something Showing how huge the box is Putting it together drawing a hole Cut the circle

So it finally got delivered last night at around 1030 pm from Rutland VT. I have always dreamed of owning a muscle era car, and decided that this year instead of building a computer or blowing my money elsewhere, that I would look for a project car with my tax return. After several weeks of looking, this is what I have found. The car is home, and after adding some gas it started right up. The stainless steel brake lines I ordered for the car have arrived, and after a short test drive today, I found out that it has either an oil or cooling system problem, and an evident misfire. That being said, this is a long term project that I hope to keep you guys in the l…

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my new 2021 Mazda CX-5 6 speakers version (non-Bose). I was thinking about 6.5" Component at front and 6.5 Coxial/Mid Bass at the rear doors, connected to a 4 Channel Amp and JBL Basspro Hub at the spare tire ( I don't want to lose space at the boot). Now, it's a bit tricky to know which speakers will fit at the doors as I couldn't find any documentation of depth compatibility for the Mazda CX-5 online. Does anyone know ? Also, without knowing the exact size can you recommend any setup for a very clear & crisp sound without compromise ? originally I was thinking to go with: Front Component:JL Audio C2-650C / Hertz Mi…

  21. This little build here is for a co-worker. He bought the old Hifonics equipment out of the van from me and plans on giving this truck to his son to drive in about a year or less. The system was designed on a fairly short budget, though he didn't want to cut many corners there's still almost $1,000 in it. Equipment consists of a Hifonics ZXi 6006 amp for the components, a Hifonics BXi2006D sub amp, a pair of 12" Hifonics Zeus subs, CDT COM-626 6.5" 2 way components and a JVC KD-HDR60 head unit. He purchased a "custom" enclosure from ebay for an easy fit under the rear seat. It's a sealed enclosure totaling 2.2cuft. net volume (according to the manufacturer) and he rai…

  22. Howdy all, I finally took the time to order all the parts for Zaph Audio's Bargain Mini Build. I will be constructing the crossovers and the boxes and throwing it all together. I will say first that my build will probably not be the prettiest ever. I actually only get time to work on this when I travel back to my hometown for a weekend. However, I am just trying to get some nice sounding speakers together and hopefully this will be my gateway to bigger and better builds. First off are the components Next is the crossover mock up. I did this to get the correct sizing for the crossover so it will fit in the relatively small box. I was very surprised about the size and hef…

OK guys, theres finally gonna be a show in my area so I decided I would try to throw something together real quick,as the show is on the 28th and I just got started.Heres what I had lying around:my HU is an older model Eclipse 54400,next in line is an AudioControl EQL feeding only the highs amp,an Orion HP4800,which runs bi-amped to a set of older MB Quart Reference x-overs.For mids I had a set of Boston Rally 6.5"s(I know theyre nothing like the Pros),for tweets the only thing I could find is a set of stock VW tweets I pulled out at the shop, not really as bad as I had expected though. For my low end I have the rear channels ran directly to an Orion HCCA D1200(again,NOTHING…
