This is the car that got me the name audio-neon. The car that started it all. It took me 2 years to pay off. It lived several iterations of equipment, and it was my baby. The journey starts in December of 2004. I was a Junior in High School and I received this car fresh in paint, completely rebuilt. It was my baby. A 1998 Dodge Neon Coupe 2-door. In 2004 I added polk dB series coaxials. 6.5" in front and 6x9 in the rear. By late 2005 I was getting an itch for more. I went to my local car Audio shops and decided that Audio Obsessions was the place for me. Top notch customer service, and they were professional. They added a jvc 2 channel amp and a 12" Eclipse subwoofer. …

Just built this a few days ago...havin some power issues so I can't put it in the car quite yet, but here's the build. Hopefully someone can help me out here... as you all know, the edges are easy to clamp down so they don't move while you are screwing them in, but how do you do the port...my port kept moving like this. What I had to do, was just glue it down, and Silicon it until it dried, THENNNN i tipped the box on its side and screwed it down, but this kinda defeats the point of the glue then.. any techniques you guys could give me?? Thanks. I used silicon II and resin on all the edges and corners..... somehow a few pieces of 1/2" MDF got in there... I ho…

well i reconed the second apx 10 yesterday and decided to build the box today. i actually went and drove on the interstate to see how it sounded. the box is 4.25 cu ft after all displacements with two 4 inch aero ports. i do need to add more bracings to the top and bottom pieces though. i will be doing the added bracing tomorrow. I have two braces in the box now. In the last pic it only shows one, but i have one right next to that brace going from the top to bottom.

The project has begun. My first step is to make the car a bit quieter and eliminate some possible rattling and ambient noise for a future system and just plain comfort. Here's what I got so far. Supplies: 2 Rolls Raamat 45 sq.ft Vertex Barrier (will be here soon) Ensolite (will be here soon) I've installed the two rolls of Raamat in the cabin floor, back seat, and all four doors. I still have about a 1/4 roll left that I will use on the doors before I install the Ensolite. -Floorboard has two or three layers all around. You will notice that not every inch is covered in my install. There are several solid spots in the cabin of the car and I couldn't justify adding the BXT …

Almost forgot to post the build over here lol. Started the build on sunday. Anyhow, on to the pics. The design: started construction on the box. it's going to be a little smaller than initially planned at 2.1 cu ft. it's really my first enclosure with kerf'ed panels. i reallllllly need to get some big clamps. that would have made things MUCH easier. yes i'm using screws just to mess with Don :gapteeth: no clamps, so i had to ghetto rig it somehow. it works. a tiny crack started to form. i put some glue on it. seems to help it from spreading. starting to kerf the other port piece... waiting to get bent into shape. a few days went by. sub came. got myself a clamp …

Whats up guys, This is the 2nd box I have ever built, so bare with me if it's not the best in the world, but I am trying to do everything based on everyone's input so far. It is for a 99 Nissan Maxima, for 2 15" Type R's tuned at 38Hz. My last box was tuned at 32Hz, so I am just trying a little different sound, and if I don't like it, i'm sellin it all and gonna toy around with something new. I have Goldbond 3, Silicon 2, predrilling all my screw holes like a good boy... using 90Deg. Clamps and straight clamps Here's the pics: Just started today May 8th.... still workin on it...just letting stuff dry, then im gonna get back at it. my only question right now is how…

Title says it all right? I've pre-ordered the subwoofers, I will get them near the end of may/ early june. This is the stratus: I will be tearing out the old baffle, and the front. Making some kind of base, battery rack, and amp rack in the trunk. Clamshell will go behind the seats, then I will seal the trunk off, stuff it with polyfill. I bought E8's (sundown) The final specs will look like this: Re = 3.37 ohms (4 ohm nominal) Fs = 34.9 hz Qes = 0.5323 Qms = 6.93 Qts = 0.4943 Vas = 7.6 L BL = 13.3 N/A Mms = 127.7 grams Cms = 162 um/N Xmax = 12mm one-way linear (70% BL method) Rated RMS Power = 200 watts Depth = 4.25" OD w/ gasket = 8 5/16" Cut Out = 7" Sealed Box: 0…
