  1. Started by EPerez,

So last January I got the new 2014 fusion SE almost all loaded out. I'm doing an audio upgrade but started this week since it's been so damn cold out. It'll consist of: 2 15" DSS Ethos DD m3b Sundown SA6.5 comps (passive) Incriminator IA 3.4 Stock alt (I think 140) Die Hard Platinum G31 2/0 welding supply wire Stock H/U with LC2i I will upload pics later tonight if I get time. I'm finishing the box now. Just putting some extra bracing in then top goes on. Box is 6.5 cubes tuned to 31hz with 2 6" PVC pipes. I know it's not the best but it should do just fine.

  2. After much deliberation, I have finally laid down the plan for my project build. I planned to do a trunk build, but decided I was trying to stuff to much crap in a very limited space. Deciding to put the enclosure inside the passenger area led me to consider a wall build, but this is my daily driver. So, a below the window line, Super Stock class build this will be. Talk about jumping into the deep end. After torturous deliberations, I decided to go for SB2 and stopped flirting with the idea of ETHOS 15's and committed to an EVIL 18 . Yes, the wait is long and is killing me, but I still have much to do before it gets here. This was the first arrival: This is my Mech…

I was approached a couple of weeks ago by a customer to build a box. He already had the design, only problem was school was getting busy for me, so i had to put him off a couple of weeks. I finally got some free time today to build it. The bedliner is drying as im typing this, and once its dry I'll be painting the port red (seems almost standard on SSA boxes...) and he'll be picking it up tomorrow, so I'll get a couple of pictures of it installed (and hopefully playing if its not raining). Specs: 6.8 cubes net 8.5" Octaport 32 hz All this going in a Dodge Caliber.

OK gentlemen- Time to start a Build thread for my 2007 Avalanche. First off- this is in the planning / parts gathering stage- and it isn't gonna be an overnight kind of build. So be patient with me. Plans- 2 DSS Ethos 15's 10 cubes tuned to 22hz (looking for loud without being real peaky) in the bed Crescendo Power (BC3500 and C1100.4) Pioneer H/U (something in the avh-x line) Not sure on Front stage yet Plan to run a Singer Alt(320 amp most likely) Dual AGM stock size batteries Story up til now. I had my Burb since last spring-- and after doing the system for the Suzuki, I ended up buying the Crescendo 3500 from W140, and placed a pair of DSS Ethos on order duri…

Well, I'm sure most of you saw the box I built for local customer Bobby for 2 Evil 18's in a suburban. Well, tax time came around and guess what, he bought 2 more Evil 18's! I wanted to keep the box from being massively tall, but I was able to manage 20 cubes net! I just started today, but I might get it assembled (or at least half assembled) by this evening. Anyway, onto the pictures... Specs: 20 cubes net 14" Octaport 32 hz Badass window bracing Letting the Octaport dry, while I cut out the bracing.

  12. Okay, this little build will be going into my 1992 Oldsmobile 88. I bought the car about 7 years ago right after I started working for the pipeline I'm working for now. I got a hell of a deal on it and got it so that I had a car just for driving to work so my wife would still have the van to drive at home. I only drove the car for a couple of years before I bought the Jimmy and right after that I gave the Olds to my mother and father in law to drive because their car broke down and my mother in law was having to run around to doctors and things for her cancer treatments and such. Well fast forward from then and I find myself with the Jimmy out of commission and my fat…

  15. Started by Miles,

I recently aquired a brand new Sundown SA8v2. I talked with Thumper about a variation of an enclosure he built years ago for this sub, but after a lot of thinking, I wanted to do something original. Even though I have way more power than the 8 was designed to handle, I wanted to build a T-Line box. I built one years ago, and it sounded amazing. However, I didn't want to build just another boring rectangle t-line box that just looks like a ported box from the outside... So... I present to you my variation of a t-line box I threw together this evening. It took a couple of days to design it, and I thought it was going to be a nightmare to build, but it actually went toge…

Hello All! I was able to trick Santa again this year, and he kept me on the nice list. With some help from the gents at SSA, he brought me 2 new XCon 12s....WooHoo!! It's finally time for me to get building and put these suckers to use. This will be my first time building a box, but this creates a perfect excuse to buy more tools. I would like to reach out to you guys and get some experienced advice to help in my first quality build The car is a 2008 Pontiac G6 GT Coupe. It has the Bose Monsoon system, which isn't terrible for a factory unit. Unfortunately, all of the cars display features are integrated in the factory's HU display. For this reason I will be k…

  19. I haven't been back to the forum in a long while as I have been quite busy with life, so in the last couple weeks i have gotten rid of my Prizm and picked up an A6 Avant (wagon) today. It has the factory Bose radio system already, so for now I will be using my factory radio. I just ordered the "keys" to remove the radio and later in this coming week I will order a hi/low converter. I found a Boss one online for 10 bucks (good idea?). I also picked up a Memphis Audio 16M1000d. Speaker is a Soundqubed HDC3.0 12" And for right now it's in a 1.8 cubic foot slot ported box tuned to 29 hz. I have a few pics of the car itself to start off my build log, and will try to update as…

I'm kinda new to car audio. Right now I'm just running a sundown e8v3 on a boss armor 1500 which actually puts out the ammount I need. Anyway I really want to upgrade and be loud. I'm not about spl and hitting high dbs more about music and perceived loudness. I can work with about 3.5 cubic foot box. I'm considering either a fi q 18 or a fi bl 15. I just need advise on which would be better.
