So i didnt realize till after i bought my amp its a 2 channel amp instead of mono. So heres the wiring im going to do http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2DVC_4-ohm_2ch-br.jpg Now i cant understand my amp specs as i dont understand how to fully read them correctly. But there this 300X1 @ 4 ohm 500X1 @ 2 ohm 750X1 @1 ohm So my question is in the wiring i did how many watts will each sub get? Thanks

Plan on running two sundown 1500's with two Odyssey 2150 batteries in the back and one Odyssey 1200 under the hood. Going to keep my factory 130 amp alt to run it. Question is, how many runs of 1/0 should I run from the front battery to the back two? Probably going to just ground to the chassis of the car in the back. Thanks for the help

Ok so for my system I'm going to be using a Memphis PR500 (Im almost certain thats what it was) to power my two Assasain 8's so first off...is this a good choice for these subs. I know its a good amp, so I think that question was actually redundant....secondly. How much amp draw on my electrical system will I be seeing when I have this thing pounding?

Alright guys, quick question. Maybe a stupid one, but I would appreciate some solid feedback. So, I am currently running an SAE-50.4 (2 ohms per channel) & an SAE-600D (1 ohm). The big 3 and all other power cable is 4AWG OFC, and I also have an XP750 AGM as my supplemental. I am going to be upgrading to an SAE-1000D v2 pretty soon, and I would like to know if my 4AWG is going to be enough to support the current required to run the system. I estimate the current load the cable can support, at the length of runs I have (10-12ft), is somewhere around 160-170A. As it stands, the maximum current draw will be 150A, worst case scenario. Should I spend more …

I'm curious as to what I could upgrade to with my current electrical system. I currently have zero issues with voltage at full tilt with all lights and a/c on blast, steady 14.0 with my AB PH-4000 and Lanzar Vibe 231 (ick, yes eww) I have two group 65's and a group 29 ran with zero, big three with 200a alt. Batts are under backseat, so pretty short runs in my mountaineer. I used less than 30ft of wire (direct runs both positive and negative). How can I estimate this myself for future reference?

I currently drive a 2013 Dodge Avenger R/T with the 3.6liter V6 and I have 2 JL 13w7's, 2 HD1200/1's, Alpine 137bt HU, with Alpine 200watt power pack running JL C2 61/2's in front and C2 6x9's in rear and stock 31/2's in my dash and I also have a audio 1000 watt capable battery in my trunk wired in with the factory batt. As of right now I'm only running 1 sub and 1 amp and I wandering what kind of electrical upgrades I would need to run both sets for 2600watts that's 2 amps and the power pack together. I'm gonna do the big 3 and add another 1000 watt capable battery, do you guys think this would be enough, or would I need a high output alternator as well. I pretty sure …

Have factory 6x9 rear and thinking to go back with a Treo 8 sub instead of going with the 6.5. The amp that I was going to use to run the 2 set of 6.5 was a Solid Audio F20 @ 300 watts how much more power I need to run the TS 8 which is 150 watts?

I was planning on buying 4 of the C&D High Rate 100 lb batteries for my car. They do something like 140 aH. I can get them for under $200 shipped each. I was looking into the d3100 batteries along with other batteries which are almost double the price. How much of a difference is there between the C&D batteries and say the d3100? Is it worth the extra $700 total I would have to spend? I am powering 4 of the saz1500s, 1 100.4, and 1 120.2. I have a 260 amp alternator. Let me know what you think.

I'm going to be doing a big three. I'm going to have 1-2 batteries in the bed of my truck. I've got to wire up the Orion 2500D, which is also going to be in the bed of my truck. Theres gunna be a camper shell over my bed, and the rear window taken out of the cab,and the front window out of the camper shell, and the box/amp/batteries is gunna be in the bed. Should I just buy so much, like 25ft or what? What gauge or gauges should I use? I can't remember what the amp can accept in regards to power wire size.

I'm looking at possibly running three 4 ohm subs, which would give me a 1.34 ohm load (of course, you all know this already ). How much power would I lose if using an amp that does its power at 1 ohm?

ok, wifes car. RF 300.1 / REX12D4, got the amp set to push right around its 300 watts at 2 ohms. its wired up with 4 gauge. no other accessories like radar detectors or other amps or anything. the other night on the way home from going out to dinner I decided to keep the stereo cranked to as loud as it ever gets cranked to for the last ~10 minutes of the drive home. pulled into the driveway and left the lights on, stereo on, and the engine running. I busted out the DMM and it was basically staying at a steady 12.5 or so, then I killed the stereo and it took about 20-30 seconds and it was back around 14.3 and this is at idle. as long as the voltage is always over the ~12 …

Hey guys, i was thinking about getting a Powermaster D1200 for my system... As of right now... i have a RF p5002 going to a 12" w3. When i have everything cranked up i notice my lights dimming a little bit... Yes i have factory wiring... but also i have a peice of junk battery (not sure exactly what it is but it was the cheapest thing i could find when i bought the car) although the car does have a 110amp alt. (i will be replacing the battery i have right now) My question is this... Will that help out my dimming situation with such a small amount of power being taken from the p5002. Within the next couple weeks (once my turn comes up in quentins long line) ill be switchin…

My birthday is coming up and id really like to increase my power to my sub as much as possible with $200. I currently have a power bass 400 rms at 4 ohms. My sub is single 4 ohm. Rated for 500rms. But id like to give it quite a bit more. Whats the biggest amp i can get for 200? I have a fi x12. In a ported box tuned to 33 ish maybe a tad higher. But i dnt play it at high volumes for more than maybe 10-15 mins. So im not too worried about anything blowing. I was thinking about geting a recone and try to recone it to dual 2 ohm.. And run my amp at 1 ohm... But thats kinda reckless because its only stable at 4 ohms. But if i set everything at 1 ohm and tune the amp with a dm…

Checked under the hood today and saw this... So pissed. Looks like I won't have my truck for a day or two. Getting it towed to the dealership tomorrow. Hopefully they don't try to screw me, as they installed it in the first place...Wondering what's preventing it from happening again too... :suicide-santa: :suicide-santa:

Hello, I have problem with choosing speakers (I'm just new in car audio), but I got 2 power amplifiers - CONCORD CA 2075 (300W),they are both 2 channel. One of them is bridged and connected to bass tube (raveland 400W). Second one will be connected to 4 speakers (2 x front 165mm, 2 x rear 130mm) , and I need to buy them, but I don't know how to compute how much Watts those speakers should have when i will connect them to this 300W power amplifier, which would have 2 speakers connected to + and - "left" and next 2 speakers for + and - "right". (You don't need to give me models of speakers cause idk if they will be available in my country, just give me how much watts they s…

Ok, i've never ran multiple and have come to a barricade here so fill me in. 1 battery up front, 5 batteries in the rear. 400A for bass, 90A for mids\highs. Total Amperage fuses needed- 490A ~ 500A. Ok, first off- I'll have 3-4 runs of 3/0 wire going from front battery to rear battery bank. Right now, i just have 1 3/0 wire ran which is fused with ANL fuse and no fuse at other end because everything is dismantled right now. With 3 runs, i was going to attempt to use a bat terminal that had 3 1/0 connectors on it. I run the alternator to one of those leaving 2 left. The factory electrical wiring goes into the other slot leaving one left. I'm assuming i'll use a distro blo…

I've tried searching around the forums for this but its a bit hard due to the size of all the words associated. So I plan on doing the BIG 3 in the next few days and I have my 0 Gauge wires, terminals, and fuse holder only thing left for me to do is get the fuse. On 02 Laredos the stock alternator has an output of 136 Amps, On other forums people recommended a 300 AMP Fuse but wouldn't this render the fuse useless as being such a high overall amp compared to the alt it wouldn't do its job and blow? But at the same time I'm questioning if I should even get a fuse as you can see in the picture below my battery and alternator are nearly touching. In short, What size fuse if a…
