So I was changing out a CD in my P9 on Saturday and the HU motor to open up the face does not open all the way up. It opened all the way open and spit out the CD today. I have taken it apart and hit it with compressed air and checked, Ramos and I did not see anything showing wear.....any ideas?

Just curious if anyone on here has any experience running this amp or any of the C2 Audio amps? What were some things you liked or disliked about the amp? I currently have a Crescendo Symphony 1500.1 which will be powering a DSS Ethos 15" when it arrives, but I'm thinking about possibly selling the Crescendo and going with the C2 Audio Recon 1.6.

Memphis 16-XO3 ( i can get it refurbed off ebay for 90 bucks) http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=3434 JBL GTX47 http://imezak.com/gtx47.html or JBL MX1000 http://imezak.com/mx1000.html the Memphis seems to have the best slopes (18db high, 24db low) but the GTX47 looks liek it would have more features. im leaning toward the memphis right now.

So I got home and had a package waiting for me. I picked up the 4 channel ssa amp when there was that friends and family sale going on. I was always on the fence about em but once that sale kicked off I just had to pick it up. Loved the pics of it and in. Person this amp is beautiful and has a nice strong solid build feel to it. Im replacing my hifonics Zeus 2000.4 amp so I can't wait to hear the quality this amp puts out. It it will be powering a pair of 8" Rockford pro audio. A pair of Rockford punch 6x9, pair of the ssa evil mids. And evil tweeters. Just thought id share. I don't see much of real hands on experiences with the amps.

Well I have been talking about this and other head units on another forum but i want to get peoples opinions on this one. Eclipse CD7200 mk II Would you use this one for the price? If not which one would you go for? What do you think about it? On a scale 1 to 10 what would you rate it? If it could be out done by another head unit what is it (equal or lesser price)? If you would get a cheaper one, which one would you get? What is it missing? and last what are you guys using? I am looking for blue tooth and and iPod connection. I don't care about hd audio and all that stuff. All of this is going into a 2002 VW Passat without a Monsoon system. So the deck isn't quite a doubl…

  9. I was looking at Powerbastard's alternators, and they don't have a direct fit for my 1991 Acura Integra....but.... they link me directly to the Fitzall 220+ Alt.... basically it's a universal HO alternator for imports..... I was looking at it, and the bottom foot doesn't look as deep as my stock unit (just looks like I need to get a shorter forged bolt from a hardware store), but other than that looks like it would mount up fine.... they say it's 110A @ idle and full 220A @ 1,200RPM's.... 220A is great, considering a 91 Integra alternator, stock, is 30A ,lol.... I was wondering if anyone has any good feedback on the powerbastards??? I know everyone is gonna shout Iraggi o…

now that i got my subs and box done, its time to look for an amp. not looking to spend too much on an amp right now. would like to send 600 rms to each sa12. trying to stay under $300, ive been looking around the web and found a couple that i might be interested in. but i wont get it unless you guys say its a good buy. this one i just came across, not sure about the brand though http://www.woofersetc.com/p-7635-bamf-20001d-power-acoustik-monoblock-2000-watt-class-d-amplifier.aspx heard soundstream was pretty legit, so i found this one http://www.woofersetc.com/p-9571-dtr11700d-soundstream-1700w-d-tower-series-class-d-monoblock-power-amplifier.aspx read on Steve Mead Desig…

  11. Ok, I'm making myself look stupid asking this, because I pretty much know the answer, (no). But, what if I do multiple runs of 12 gauge wire from the battery to the amplifier? The 12 gauge wire I have is from Sears, I have 500 feet of it, it says it handles 600V if that matters at all. Anyways, my real question is, how many runs of 12 gauge wire should I use to power the amplifier? It's gonna be running at 4 ohms, possibly 1 ohm later, it's rated to do 750 RMS at 4 ohms, 1500 RMS at 2 ohms, and it's 'unstable' at 1 ohm, but these are the same amplifiers Steve Meade used before he got his new ones, and he ran them at 1 ohm just fine after removing a certain diode, which I …

I have an 06 KIA SPECTRA SX and it has an 80 amp alternator. I have a High Output alternator told by Dave DC Electric it is 160 amp but got it tested at the local alternator shop over here and they told me it does 150 amp but can pull up to 200 amp. I have noticed a lot of people have High Output alternators and two batteries. One up front and one in the rear for the audio system as they say. Why do they have two batteries and high output alternator if you doing a SQ build? Also anyone knows the magic formula on how to calculate how much amperage I need my alternator to be. Someone told me add all the amps that amplifiers combine and that is how much amperage you nee…

My amplifier randomly went into protect last night after i started the car, everything is hoked up right. This morning i unplugged the sub and it was still in protect, so i know it isnt the subwoofer. Then i unplugged the RCAS and it was still in protect. Then i redid the remote wire and restarted my HeadUnit and was still in protect......The Amplifier is a Hifonics BRZ 1700.1, They dont come fused and i did not have a fuse on it. Im also running it at 0.5 ohm. Im thinking its blown but im not sure. BTW it can handle 0.5 ohm no problem.....

Hi So basically Im debating between which brand I should go for. Alpine or Pioneer. This is for a single din head unit. Will mainly run factory speakers (for now) and a single 12inch Pioneer sub. No, I have not heard a premium Pioneer headunit before. Yeah, some entry level ones and they have sounded good. On the other side, my friend just got installed a CDA-102 and I was astonished by the sound, of course is not fair to compare an entry level pionner to the cda-102 as the 102 is more advanced. Until today I wanted to go for the CDA-9887 since I plan on changing my factory speakers to Alpine Type X, that way I can keep Alpine all around. Now the problem comes when inspec…

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the newer version audiopipe amps. I've used the ap1500's before and they performed well. Usually recommend them for friends. I can't seem to find them anymore. All I see is 'APCL' and 'APSM' series. Looking for a decent ~1000-1500@1 ohm amp for my cousin on a budget.

Ok, so the tittle may be a little confusing. Sorry about that. But what I am trying to get a answer for is to know whether or not, 1 watt, equals 1 watt? For example, lets say one company claims 1000 watts rms @ 1 ohm. And some other company claims the exact same thing. Now if we set these two amps up to a controlled vehicle/setup, why would one seem louder, or just plain oh better than the other? Obviously the main possiblity would be because someone is not providing that 1000 watts, but lets say we testing both amps the exact same way, with sophisticated equipment and techniques, to find out that they are putting out exactly 1000 watts. Then what could be the reason? T…

I know you're not supposed to run more than one REM wire from the single one off of the head unit, but I'm kind of (read: really, really) crunched for time at the moment - it would just be a small component amp and the subwoofer amp.

I came across this topic and thought this would be a good way to go. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=9618 So if i was to go this way i wouldent have to get an new expensive headunit. But are there any other amps i could use for this that are a little cheaper.
