Hi. This is my second post and, if you read my first post, i'm sure you know I am not that great with the car audio stuff yet. But I am putting together a system, but I am going to stick with the Monsoon Head Unit that I have in my 2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT. I was just wondering what could I buy that could add more RCA inputs/outputs for my system? I am going to need at least three or four pairs. Is there a product that is made just to hook up into your car to allow you to add more RCA jacks? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey fellas I've been researching this and would love some input. It's a 2002 Mercedes C230K 2.3L with one stock H-8 type batt under the hood and soon to be an XS Power XP3000 in the back. Wasn't able to find anything XS made for under the hood but if I could find one or another of similar quality, I'd go for it. Otherwise it's a stock batt but it is brand new. I'd like to use the Synergy Audio 35.1D as well as 1-2 more amps for the front stage. Call it 4k watts total guesstimate. I have a Profike HA740 4 channel amp with Rockford fosgate components on the rear and two focal midrange on the front all at 4 ohms. Maxed the gains out to all four channels and I have no clipping or distortion. Checked it with a local shop and they said no clipping at all. Profile amps equal amazing. They are now out of business though:( Messed the title up, I meant HA740.

is it ok to have a optima yellow top under the hood and two kinetiks in the back since they both AGM ? or a optima up front and two xs power in the back ??? thanks to those that take their time on replying to my NOOB ass lol i appreciated

ok so if i got 2 amps hooked up how should i ground them, so far i got a 1/0 spliced to 2 8 guage wires. its not working very well, should i get another distro block for my gound wires as well?

I was wondering if my 2000 Neon will hold 1000W rms without a alternator upgrade or a battery upgrade, the battery does around 650CCA while hot and around 550CCA when its cold. And iam not really sure what the alternator can pu out, i have been looking all over the inernet and i havent been able to find out, people tell me that i should be fine with a cap or nothing, and some tell me to get a 1 farad cap. What should i do?

im looking to buy either a Sundown SAZ-2500D or an AQ2200D. neither of these amps are internally fused, and ive never ran an amp that wasnt internally fused.. so my question is do either of these amps come with the fuse holder + fuse? also, i know i need the main wire fuse close to the battery, but how close does the fuse for the amp have to be to the amp? less then a foot?

It has 4 gauge inputs... I know its not a huge deal but I wanted to use 0 gauge with it. I know stinger makes 4 gauge to 0 gauge adapters but the way the inputs are on the amp those adapters won't work. Would it be ok to just trim the 0 gauge down or should I just get a 4 gauge amp kit?

Whats to be said for American Bass amplifiers? Hows the quality? any known problems? certain ones to watch out for? Ive seen them used on numerous youtube video's but that really tells me nothing. Reason for this thread is there is a local craigslister who has the VFL 150.1 i believe it is and states its capable of 2900rms @ 1 ohm. Price is something I could easily swing. Ive had my eye on a refurb saz-3500d from db-r lately but for the price of this one it may just be a better route. Just for reference saz 3500 at db-r is about $780 and the VFL 150.1 is $250. When I was first getting into car audio I cheaped out and bought an alpine cde-100 as a headunit replacement. It only has one set of rear preamp outputs and I already have an amp for my sub hooked up to them. In future I would like to get an amp for my speakers. When I eventually get an amp for speakers will I need a headunit or is there an easy work around? I don't want to lose any sound quality. Also, how important is the preamp voltage? I read that it cuts down on distortion but how much of a difference will there be between 2v & 5v?

How do you guys do it and still get the door sills back down? That wire is so thick I cant get the plastic sills to snap back in. Also for those of you running the amp behind the rear seat how big is the amp? I have a sundown 1200 v2 and Im starting to wonder if its too big to fit back there. I cut out the rubber to fit the amp in but Im wondering if when I put the seat back in if it wont fit. Id like to know before getting it all done.

I am in need of help. I have the sundown 3k and it has been working without any problems for a while now. I went to bump today and there was nothing so when I opened up the back it was in protect with the slight blue of the power light being on. I didnt do anything out of the ordinary and when I shut it off last it was working perfect. I took the backing off and there doesnt look like anything wrong but yet again I dont know nothing so it could be blown for all I know. What I have done as far as trouble shooting: removed RCA wires and turned on still went into protect Removed speaker wires but still goes into protect removed power wire and of course nothing happens Let me…

So, I bought 2 hawker 2v cells to run a 16v tap. I thought i had a problem with that setup and found out it was ok. Someone said it was a bad idea and said i should purchase a 3 post kinetik hc16v(brand new). Thought to myself that id be on the safe side if i went ahead and did it. Called kinetik personally and talk to Jon( I believe) and made sure everything was properly installed and according to my Blue Point Dmm everything was like he said. Well, let me tell u what..... The hc16v setup with the EA alt on 19.1v to the 16v side and with a digital meter with about 3 weeks of driving, the battery dies completely. Got pissed and ran my 2 2v cells now for more mile…

Hey guys! we're trying to set the gains and settings on my bro's sub/amp but he has stock blose speakers and amp for his mids and hi's.... anyone know if the bose amp has a gain control on it or if possible can we add one? speakers max out volume @ 17/80 ha. My neighbor happened upon a xtant 3300 its a big ass chrome amp unlike anything ive seen before. I went over there and hooked up on the mono sub channel to a couple Memphis 15's and it sounded good but what im wondering is what else can it be used for I googled it and found its a 3 channel with 5 channel capabilities more SQ oriented but what is this thing worth? Also ive never seen an amp like this without knobs and little plugs instead. I would have taken a pic but it was night and my cell wasn't capturing it well. Anyone have any knowlegde on it? I can probably get it for pretty damn cheap or trade my RF 450.2 for it.

ok i have 6 xs d3100s... im gonna charge them all at once cause i dont have access to each battery.... now last time i charged them i used 2 amps which took forever!.... can i charge them with 12 amps ?? i have a schumacher charge that shuts off whens they are fully charged (trickle charge) and doesnt charge higher than 15 volts.... the charger has a 2 amp, 12 amp, and 75 amp charge setting..... the 75 amp is for starting a vehicle with a dead battery..... so i know not to use that one lmao... will i be fine charging with 12 amps ??? this way it wont take days to charge them.... last time using a 2 amp charge it took about a week lol...

My friend has an 07 GTI and is thinking of running an AQ 2200D to two Fi Q's. My question is, will this amp be happy powered by the stock alt (120 amp). He doesn't really want to run an extra battery unless absolutely necessary. All suggestions and advice is appreciated.

How much stronger would the 2 aq2200d @ 1 ohm strapped be compare to 1 aq3500d old one @ 1 ohm on 2 dd3512? Running a 180 amp alternator with 2 kinetik 2400 and 1 kinetik 1400 in the back. Would this even be enough to run the 2 aq2200d? This would be a daily driver.
