hey guys, I'm plannig on running 1 Sundown Audio 3000 to either a 1 15" OR 1 18" FI BTL. What do I need to power this bad boy?? hah. I already did the research and I can get my hands on a 250amp h/o alt. Now the bad part is that im running this in A VW Golf so the space is minimal and going to be very tight for this build. I dont plan on doing competitions, its more for a daily car. Any idea what I need? I'm definately swapping out my primary battery (stock)...anything else? Cheers, Andrew

I recently bought a warden 21 and its a d1 so I would have to wire my crescendo bc2k to 2 ohms or .5 ohm. Itd be ridiculous to put 1100 rms to a warden haha but also I don't wanna run my amp at .5. So what I was thinkin is buying 2 amps and strapping them at 2 ohms. Should I buy another bc2k or sell mine and buy 2 used sundown saz1500s? Do you think theres a big difference between the two? My electric consist of big 3, deka 9a31 as second batt with all 0 gauge. I know I don't have the electrical for it full tilt but its a safer option so I would be running at at least 2500 rms I'm also in the process of getting a HO alt, possibly from singer. Hi guys, I found very good prices on these 2 amplifiers on Audiosavings. They're cheap (less than $450) and claim to be powerful. I am surprised by the fuse rating on both of them : they need 130 or 150 amp fuse only for +2000 watts. My current amp, a Sundown saz 1500 needs a 150 amp fuse. I know Cadence and US Amps are well known brands. How can that be ? Are their ratings legit, or are they overated ? I still want for my BTL N2. I will upgrade the electrical after I get the amplifier. I will add or change battery for an AGM one (probably an Optima Yellowtop) later. what do you think about these 2 amps ? zrs c1 and md3 ?

Need help deciding between the sundown saz1000d or the rockford t1000-1bd(09 edition). Will be going on a Fi Bl 15 dual 2. The box will be 4 cubes at 32 hz. Any help is appreciated

Finally got my BTL 18" reconed!!! only have a hifonics 1600 watt pushing it but when i try to blast it the amp cuts off because its ran at .75 ohms. but anyways, just wonderin if anyone has a american bass 150.1 for sale.....

Hi all Ok this is the problem On the big three the alternator power.... It says to upgrade that... now this is the issue i discovered tracking down my voltage drop... My alternator wire goes from the alt to a fuse box (factory) then from the fuse box to the front battery... now my rear battery taps off the front battery.... all 0/1 guage wire... I changed the wire from the alt to the fuse box to 0/1 So i need to change the fuse box to the bat now to 0/1 OR is just going straight from the alt to the rear battery an option (fused with 200 amps of course)

well we built a wall, the amp is currently fairly far away form the subs, about 6 feet of speaker wire goes to each sub, we are currently using cheap 14 gauge speaker wire LOL, but we are pulling a 152.7@1800 watts clamped, my guess is we would gain quite a bit by changing out speaker wire, what would you guys recomend? there are 4 dd 1500 series 12" subs hooked up to a planet audio 3000 wired to half ohm in a wall. looking for the best speaker wire that will transfer the power most effectivly for the long 6 ft run. thanks, Anton Miller

Okay, so I was wondering if anyone had any input on this amplifier. I am basically asking if it was worth what I gave for it. I gave a good friend of mine $200 and a SAX-1200 for this amp. It slammed his Z18, and it looks like it's solid. Anyone had any problems or anything with this amp? Thanks

So my battery died yesterday cuz my friend left a light on in it. Its parked in my driveway which is on the main street of my town and i can't push it back anyways cuz of the snow. Would I be able to take my battery out and charge it with a friends running car? I don't see how this wouldn't work but just want to make sure before i make anything worse, gotta work tonight.

even though i bought the equipment..my dad is gnna be pissed............1 kicker 10l7...........1 pos american pro 1200 watt amp..mind you it sounds awesome with a kicker !!!i was just playin d4l laffy taffy.played normal....started over the song raised the vol to 6 ..and as soon as the bass was about to hit it played only on my 6x9 's ..the sub wasnt playing ..........i pulled my backseat back and saw the amp light wasnt on....................what to do????????i wpuld check the fuse if i had time but my dad would see me and ask what hapened...ill try for him to play it when hes goin to work then call me and ask what happened."ill be "what did u do" then ill bring it home…

just making a general positive statement I recently loaned out my Z800 Ultradrive to a buddy because he melted his Kenwood (ups has it) (they say 225 x 2 @4 and 450 x 1 @ 4, but a shop speced it at 513 or something in that range) and it is a class A/B amp and is not reccomended, like many others, to go below 2 ohms stereo or 4 ohms mono, so what do we do? we wire it up at 1.5ohms mono for giggles, and WHAT THE CRAP :musik05: it played fine, and it still is now a few days later, the top mounted fan it whirling like a foo and the heat sink is getting warm but the amp is holding

I will be needing to purchase either a 160 amp alt. or a 8-20 fared cap. eventually both. I have a voltage drop problem. My current alternator is only 80 amps. my amp , I think has 4 20 amp fuses, its a soundstream tr880/2. My headlights dim quite a bit. Would a 8 or 20 fared cap fix the problem well enough to forget an alternator. I can get a 20 fared soundstream cap on ebay for $169 new, $129 for the 8. Or should I go with the 160 amp alt. Which would be more effective. Most people I've seen have only a 1.5, 2, or the biggest I've seen in a car was a 4 fared. What do you know or think? In the coming weeks, I'm going to need to install: MB Quart 5.25 component set, Orion 8002, Orion 1200D, and ReSX 15" into a Mazda 6. For anyone that has seen the stock HU on the 6, You'll know that I'm NOT replacing it. I'm not gonna cut and glass a new console cover for just a HU, not too mention that we would lose functionality of a in dash LCD display (showing ambient temp, radio station / disc info), as well as inset steering wheel controls. To top it off, this car belongs to somone who cares very little about the SQ & control gains of a nice aftermarket HU. Plan is to tap the rear door speaker leads and run them into an EQ/Xover preamp. i have a 10" RL-i D4 on the way, now i'm trying to choose and amp. goals were... 1: no more than $250 with shipping tacked on. would like to make it less if i could, but if the choice means paying that much than so be it. 2: a minimum of 500rms at 2ohm. sub will be in a optimum recommend size sealed box which i believe was .65 cu.ft. i have done lot of searching and reading reviews and posts with people giving their opinions, not only here, but other places. i have it down to these choices. Recently purchsed a Crossfire vr1000d, hooked it up today and it turns on then about 10 seconds later makes a click sound then switches to protect and right back to power. And does this non stop, Does this mean the amp i have bought is blown? It even does it with just the power, grnd, and remote wire hooked up. To my understanding if it was blown it'd be a solid into protect

does anybody know what size kinetik or powermaster will fit under hood of expedition? I am going to run either powermaster 3100 or couple kinetik 2000s in back, but expedition has side post in front, and not much clearance for hood.

Am wanting to get another bettery to help upgrade my electrical. Does anyone know if the special application Kinerik HC 2000 is the same as the regular HC 2000 because i can find those for a lot cheaper price than the regular ones? I think i read somewhere that this years regular model has higher amps rating than last years special applications model. How true is this? Thnaks in advance for the response.
