I prefer the look of flip down faces i dont really like seeing a cd slot in the face. And maybe a remote like my pioneer has

Hi, I'm getting a Mach5 MAW15(for now), and was wondering which amp you would buy, based on price/quality? I don't want to go more than $400. Precision Power PC2150RB(used, but almost new) = $260 Zapco REF500.1(new) = $380 US Amps Merlin MD22(new) = $180 US Amps Xterminator XT800.2(new) = $125 Any other recommendations are appreciated . Thanks for the input. BTW, sorry if you ask a question right away and I don't respond. I'm going to bed right now(stupid graveyards).

Serious issue going on with my system, and I know it's gotta be my electrical..... just need some advice on where to go. I've only had my system in since April, and I've noticed at times that my front stage will suddenly begin losing treble, then volume. I turn it down and it recovers pretty quickly, within a minute..... but will do it again if turned back up. I have not upgraded the electric at all.... was hoping I wouldn't need to being that I'm not pushing a lot of wattage. Amp is a Kenwwod7005PS 5 channel..... manual says it pulls 56 amps. I'm guessing my Scion xB 80 amp alt just isn't enough...... but would doing a big 3 help this??? (I have some 4 ga left over from …

Can anyone recommend a good working EQ. I used to have an old PPI unit with my old set up, but I don't think it works anymore. I plan to get a SS RL-p 12, either the USAmps 2080 or 2100, CDT CL-62 and I already have a Diamond Audio 1200.1 for the sub. Are their any that I should stay away from?

Im going to be ordering my new head unit later on today, but I would like to know if anyone has/used this type before and how well it works, I'm getting it because it has 3 pre-amp settings and had a USB and AUX port on it, my old head unit has neither of these and I'm only using CD's which get scratched way too easily. Thanks guys. heres a link to view it http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_35579_Clarion-CZ501.html

  7. this is my first stereo install and im a little confused. i see that the harness that plugs into the stereo has a longer black ground wire. my adapter harness has a black wire for a ground wire to attach. ive heard that youre supposto ground the stereo to the metal inside the dash. will it be okay leaving the ground wire on the harness that plugs into the factory plug left un touched. will everything function properly? should i NOT solder them but instead ground it in the dash? also the p connect is for the remote wire right?

Hi I am wondering if I should do the big 3 even though I'm not replacing my alternator. I have a 2005 Chevy 2500. I dont know my stock alternator's specs but I'm sure it can't be high. Should I do the big 3? I'm going to get either a kinetik 1800 or 2000 to put under my hood and I plan on running about 1200watts rms. If I do the big 3 should I use 4awg or 1/0awg? I don't know but I think 1/0 should be necessary of my alternator is stock.. But I dont know much either lol.

  11. I'm at home, sick as a dog, feeling too shitty to really do anything or go anywhere, so I'm drawing out plans fot my next system. my question is, with a 370a Alt, XS d3400 up front and a D7500 in the rear, what is the maximum amount of power you could comfortably run, RMS. I ask, because I'd like to keep it as simple as possible, but still have flexibility after should I upgrade from my current equipment. Thank you for humoring me in my moment of boredom lol

Im looking for a component set. with the addition of this 18" BTL its damn near impossible to hear high end over the bass this thing outputs.. I went to some stereo shops to see some products up close.. saw a set of the Fosgate power 6.5's.. has the driver, tweeter and crossover network.. price in store is crazy, but found the same set on the internet alot cheaper. Im concerned how they hook up as ive never had a pair of components before. Do you just use 1 channel of your amp per door.. Let me explain what i mean more.. go here My link see how the crossover box has 2 inputs and 2 outputs.. i just got done running all new wire to each door to a 4 ch amp.. will i have to c…

Hi my step brother has two phoenix gold octane 10s and a phoenix gold 2 channel amp, and when he has both subs hooked up the amp goes into protect mode but when only one is wired to it it plays fine but when u hook two up again it goes back into protect mode... occasionally it will play with both wired up but only for about 1 min. then it goes back into protect mode until 1 is unwired. is it the subs or amp (oh yea one of the subs sounds like its blown but still plays just distorted)

So the plan right now is to pick up (2) 12" SSDs for the new car. Originally I was going to power them with a SAZ-1500D and call it a day. Now I have been pondering the idea of powering them with 2 SAE-1000Ds for a little extra juice and a little overhead. I just don't know if the price difference is worth it. So the question is which do you think I should do? I've heard the 1500D is underrated with the right electrical, but will I get more out of this setep with the 2000W? Thanks in advance.

Im going to be runnin 2 amps...a BX1000D and an older PG QX4150 fuses are 60 and 40 the Brutus takes 4 gauge while the PG takes 8 Now heres my question...i was gonna run 1/0 from the batt to the distroblock then split it into 4gauge and 8 gauge Now instead im thinking of runnin 4gauge from the batt then split it at the distro block into another 4 and 8 gauge Anyone against doin that?

  19. I just received my SSA Icon D2 sub today after a longgg wait, between the box, and then the sub. So I am anxious to get everything installed, but I don't want to make any mistakes. I've been looking at this wiring diagram to wire it in parallel to 1ohm. And then from the manual I am planning on wiring it like the top picture. I'm a little confused by the diagram in the manual, I can just connect to 1 positive and 1 negative, right? I will set the gains using the stickied tutorial. What should the subsonic filter and LPF be set at? Are these lower and upper cutoffs for what frequencies my subwoofer will play? Bass boost and phase should be set at zero, correct? Are …

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9FMZONgTcX2/p_500CDA9847/Alpine-CDA-9847.html I need a simple deck for my budget build & I found one of these for $95. It's an '05 model, but it looks mint. Opinions?I'm gonna be running a 2-channel & monoblock. Undecided on the 6.5'' components for the front, but I have an SA-12 for sub duty. I've ran the CDA 9813, 9886, & 9855 but right now I'm just looking for a simple setup.
