Im about to run 2 SS 12" subs and a 2000 watt amp( what kind undecided i would appreciate suggestions). I wanted to know if i should possible upgrade my alternator or any other kind of problem i might have to ensure the sound. Also I have no Idea what kind of box I should build what do yall think? im getting the dual 2 ohm subs so suggestions on boxes are also appreciated. Thanks in Advance, Colt

I have 2 Hifonics BXI2607's and I noticed earlier today while listening to my system that one of the amps is making a rattling, buzzing noise when the bass hits. It only does it on the higher frequencies which do not hit that hard, the lower frequencies which are louder and hit harder the amp does not make any noise. The noise is coming from the RCA area of the amp. It is not the amp that I have running to the HU, it is the amp that I used a jumper RCA to hook up. I noticed that the amp does not make the noise until I get the volume up to 20/35 on the HU and gets louder as I increase the volume. This company gets crazy good reviews and can charge a multitude of battery types.. Not only that but a 5yr warranty on their product.. Insane in the membrane!! Well I picked up a CTEK Multi US 3300 since I was told at Pepboys my aux battery was "dead" and "failled" their test... Problem I have with it is Kinetik batteries are not rated in CCA so I cannot really go by their testing. Emailed Kinetik and got a response in about an hour to get a battery charger and let it sit for 2-5 days depending on how low the battery was since it's last charge. They also told me if I wanted to ensure most batteries "coming back to life" I should go for the 7000 but I don't think I need to…

I think that the rca's might possibly be going bad on my pioneer DEH P6400. I am wanting to replace it but i dont want to buy a crappy one. what do u recommend that fits my budget of $200-$250? So i've been looking at upgrading head units because I am getting some new components and I have an alpine now and use it all the time with my iPod. I currently have a 9881. So I am thinking of sticking with the Alpine line-up and I was going to go with the 9887 for sure, but now I've seen the 9884 and it seems to have a lot of awesome features. Whats the big differences here? My currents needs I guess are: Imprint technology good equalizer( im not sure if parametric or graphic is better for me. I'm looking into getting a vehicle with a little more space for some more beat. Right now I have a dual 2 ohm Fi BTL N2 18 being run by an AQ2200D at 1 ohm. If I was to upgrade the system, I would probably get another AQ2200D and another dual 2 BTL. I realize that I could run 1 amp to each sub, but I was wondering if linking the amps made a cleaner signal. It is my understanding that 2 ohms @ 4400 watts is better than 1 ohm @ 2200 watts x 2. If I was to link the amps, how would I go about doing it? What would need to be input/output from either amp in order to run 4400 watts @ 2 ohms? Thanks guys! <--------------

My audiobahn 18001DT amp isnt getting enough power out of my car a 2000 Mazda Millenia S. The stock alternator is putting out 110 amps the amp is drawing 150 amps to put out 1800 watts to 2 12" audiobahn ultra excursion subs. I have upgraded the battery to a optima red top and have installed 2 1 farad caps. When i have the car running the amp recieves 13.5-14 volts when i have the bass turned all the way down. When i turn the bass up half way the voltage drops within 5 minutes to 11.5. I currently have 4 ga wire planning on upgrading to 0 ga to stop some of the voltage loss cause im running the wire 20 feet. should i upgrade the alternator or put more caps or a battery? a…

Serious issue going on with my system, and I know it's gotta be my electrical..... just need some advice on where to go. I've only had my system in since April, and I've noticed at times that my front stage will suddenly begin losing treble, then volume. I turn it down and it recovers pretty quickly, within a minute..... but will do it again if turned back up. I have not upgraded the electric at all.... was hoping I wouldn't need to being that I'm not pushing a lot of wattage. Amp is a Kenwwod7005PS 5 channel..... manual says it pulls 56 amps. Hey guys, I've got a Pioneer DEH 4100 (as the title implies) and it's suffering from a few annoying malfunctions. 1) Sometimes it will independently skip forward through a song, but does not beep to indicate this and it seems to be a pretty random occurrence. Even if it did beep, it still pisses you off. Some of my songs suffer from different volumes, so I go from, like, Ray Charles to a goddamn Children of Bodom song at a higher volume. My ears leave my body for a time. 2) I leave my iPod plugged in via USB, and what used to happen when I'd start the car was that the head unit would automatically start the iPod up. I'm installing a Kicker tc104 sub in my trans am and have a choice from 2 amps, either a old school Autotek 7100bts or a Kicker ZX400.1 I just picked up. Which one would you prefer to use? I'm not trying to blow the windows out or anything, just trying to get some better sounds over the stock setup. Thanks for any input you may have.

Ok well i got rid of the D3, and got a CDA-9887. LOL, bid difference i know. But before i've even done any sound setup or tweaking my subs instantly sounded better after they were turned on. But DAMN there are alot of sound options. I tried for 10 mins just to setup the HPF so i can take the bass out of the front and rear speakers to no avail. I have not been able to find an unfused distribution block for 1/0 gauge wire..... it needs to connect like 4 0 gauge wires.

so im buying this amp an i was gonna buy a 0-scope to set my amp gains. but since there's a clip light will that allow me to set the gains as high as they'll go without sendin a clipped signal.? kinda like what an o-scope would do an tell me when the signal was gettin clipped?

Okay guys, My wife has been beggin me to get her new truck (2007) silverado Crew to sound similar to my old S-10. In the S-10 I had a downfiring box with Solobaric S10D's 4ohm running mono on a US 1000X Some might say it was a little overkill but I had it turned down and was probaly one of the cleanest systems that I had herd (Yes I know just my preference) I also had MB Quart Q's for mids and Highs running off a PPI PCX280 which I still have the Quarts and the PPI. i was gonna see what you guys thought i have a 70 amp alt lying around and im gonna rebuild it...but i was gonna see if it is enough to handle the load of my amp (soundstream 2000d) i can make a bracket and fit it in and just use the second one for the stereo....i dont have 590 bucks lying around for a new mechman....i was just curuios if it could handle it.... thanks for all yalls help

I have an 06 impala and plan on installing my head unit in the next few days... I was wondering if anyone knew if it would hurt to hook my deck up without using the door chime box with the stage 2 harness. I have a bad habit of not wearing my seatbelt and do not want to listen to my car beep over and over again when im not buckled in . Does anyone know if it would hurt anything to just wire up the harness and cut the chime box plug off (or just leave it unhooked) when I install my stereo?

I like both - the 9887 has a lot of audio plusses, but I really like the 710's iPod control (fast - no lag) Can you guys weigh in on which you would get? I'm also going to add/ or use the BT feature for handsfree. Please chime in with your experience on either HU. thx!
