Anyone fix amps!?

Who has the best deal on 1/0 wire? I'm looking to upgrade from 4 gauge to 1/0.

Okay let's say I buy an alt from a company and I'm not happy with the performance (idle output) of the alt can I send it to a different company and have them make it basically one of their alternators?

What type of sealant should I use on my rubber gasket (firewall) that is "temporary" (can be taken off in a couple of years)?

How would you figure this out? Ac/dc / ac/dc? Running a mmats D300hc in a 2 cu. Sealed enclosure. Not supposed to run the mmats below 1 for daily driving, so want to know how I'm doing so, is this the cheater amp its made to be? Drawing lots of current lol, voltage drop. Don't want to dmg the amp, rewiring it to 4 and making a larger ported I guess.

I really like the look of the newly released Kandy Kable but the thing that is dissapointing. CCA wire . 90% aluminum 10% copper. Turned me away automatically

So the fan was not working off my Memphis 16pr1.5kd so I pulled it out and opened it up. Two lines lead from the fan area to a potentiometer. Then looking around some more I find three pins with a jumper across two. Next to that says subsonic on and off. I don't have any adjustment for a ssf on the outside, but could this be set to "on" then the potentiometer used to adjust the it? Or is this potentiometer linked to the fan somehow? I'll be checking to see if the fan works as I've pulled that out. If someone could link or send me a layout of this board that would be helpful, thanks! Serious issue going on with my system, and I know it's gotta be my electrical..... just need some advice on where to go. I've only had my system in since April, and I've noticed at times that my front stage will suddenly begin losing treble, then volume. I turn it down and it recovers pretty quickly, within a minute..... but will do it again if turned back up. I have not upgraded the electric at all.... was hoping I wouldn't need to being that I'm not pushing a lot of wattage. Amp is a Kenwwod7005PS 5 channel..... manual says it pulls 56 amps. My friend recently purchased one of these and he wanted to know if they were good or not?

Hi everyone, I'm looking to finish the big 3 in my car. I already have a 0 ga wire from battery - to chassis. My alternator is difficult to reach. I must "lift" the car to reach it under the motor. My question is : can I take a point anywhere on the engine block and ground it to the chassis of the car (with a 0 ga wire) ? (I know !). That would be the third part of the big 3. I have a stock alternator, maybe the (+) alt to (+) battery part is not a "must do" part for me. Another question : I have one 0 ga wire with ring connectors, and one 2/0 marine grade wire with ring connectors too. I have a 1.5 farad capacitor a friend gave me and I'd like to put it to some good use. I have a small mtx amp powering a pair of JL coaxial 5.25" speakers and a punch800.2 bridged for my RE HC 12". I understand some people are against using caps but I have one so I might as well use it. And generally they are used for the amp powering the sub however, in my case I highly doubt it would do anything noticable. So here's my question: What would happen if I hooked up the cap to the MTX amp that is powering the front speakers? Would that give the MTX amp a little extra boost? I believe it's a mtx roadthunder and it's pushing maybe 50rms total.

Is this ok or a no-no? I just added 4 gauge wire in addition to the factory wire(wired it to the same spot and sanded paint off the ground) and replaced the factory battery terminal blocks with stinger ones.

I am adding a second battery and a bigger amp. I need about 25 feet of 1/0 wire. My question is whats the best place to get it from? Also, I see people not liking KnuKonceptz wire. What is up with that? Is it really not worth the $1.75 a foot they want? Is it better to buy from a welding supply company for about $2 a foot? I know these probably sound dumb, but I've only dealt with 4 gauge in the past, which you can get anywhere. Thanx guys

Lately I have been having some problems with my alt for some reason. Two days ago on Friday it was working fine and steadily charging around 14.4 while I was driving. Yesterday out of no where while I was driving (not listening to my system) it just decided to drop down to about 12.9. Today while driving I noticed that when I pressed the gas my voltage would severely go down but then if I let off the gas while in gear my voltage would start to rise. When I put it in neutral it would go back down again. I thought I could get away from getting a new alternator for a while because I am only running about 2500 rms, I have my gains set a little lower because of my electrical…

Alright iv ran into a bit of a problem. I have two amps one a Kicker ZX350.4 which accepts 8 AWG wire and the other a Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D which accepts 1/0 AWG. Im runing 0 AWG wire from the battery to my trunk, i cant find a dist. block that will work with these wires. any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So I just got two 12" daily Bl's and was wondering what type of amp to run them with. I have a stock electrical system on a 2001 Elantra and do not want to mess around with the electrical so I want to know what type of amp to run them with without having to upgrade. The subs are dual 1 ohm and I will be using a ported box. I also need a new head unit but i only want to spend $100-$250 on that. On the amp i'm open to spending up to $400. I just ordered one 12 1ohm BL, I'm thinking a xtx 3000.1 amp, pushes 1400 arms at one ohm. What do y'all think?

I just finished my box for 4 8" sundowns. Its a big center console box for my single cab ranger. Its 2.4 cu. ft (after displacement) and is ported @ 34hz. I'll post pics up soon. BUt im gonna order the subs this week and am im looking for an amp to push them. What should i get as far as a amp/s?
