  1. Ok well right now i have a pair of Polk db651's in my front doors, and my stock bose speakers in the back (they barely put out any sound at all that i can hear). I have a sony gt620ip (not the best but its what i have). Now the question is... Will my front speakers get more power from the h/u if i disconnect the back two speakers?

I have an 02 Escort with the stock Alt. and Big 3 in 1/0 gauge. I'm getting an Fi SSD 15" D2 and a US Amps XT1600.2 very soon. First off is this a good match? I have been doing research for months on both items and am pretty set on booth (for price, performance and appearance). I also have an Alpine 3553 and 3527 which together only really produce around 200-240WRMS so add that to the XT and I'll probably see between 7-900wrms. Does that seem like to much for mostly stock electrical? Should I add a second batt.? I really don't want to have to.

  5. I was just wondering if 4 of these batteries will be good for a car audio system. 2,000 watts RMS? This is the only best battery that I can fine in my own town. I can't get XS Power or anything like that. They do sell Kinetik at this one place but they are marked up 50% higher then SonicElectronix & I don't want to mail order any car batteries. There Shuriken batteries at another store too. there marked up high like the Kinetik. I like to buy them in store, If anything gose wrong with them. I can just drive to the store & return it. These Nautilus AGM Deep Cycle batteries are in stock ready to buy. Motomaster Nautilus AGM Deep Cycle 12 volt Battery C$259.99 Brand …

i got my box built, needs finishing braces and covering. But, now i have no place for my amps. I have searched and read couple post that say it is ok, and some that say it is not. If I just double the sides of the box and mount my amps on the side, will they be ok? I have enough room if I mount my 1500d's end to end and then my 100.4 on the other side. I can mount them on my back seat, but the seat wont be able to fold up. Pic of where box sits now:

I've seen on SSA before that you shouldn't mount an amp sideways because it will mess up how the heat dissipates. by sideways i mean one end of the amp facing the bottom of the vehicle, and the other facing the top. If it is true that this is a bad idea for overheating issues, why? and i need somewhat of a detailed answer; i'm arguing with an engineer and they don't accept "because the car audio professionals said so!!!" thanks and im asking because it would save a hell of a lot of space if i could mount it sideways

Hey guys Im having issues trying to find a decent mounting kit for my dime. I have a 2000 but I have gone from 1.5 DIN to 2 DIN. THe thing I dont like is that I had to cut the plastic piece that the OEM stereo rested on. So now the HU I have just kinda floats. I was wondering if anyone knows of a mounting kit that will stop this, something like a pocket that it will slide into. Thanks in advance.

Has anyone ever done this? I'm going to be making custom door panels and would like to incorporate the HU into the drivers side door. I am looking for a unit that will be compatible with this mounting scheme.

Would mounting my amp on the same side I mount my woofers cause any problems? I mean that would be the strongest part of the box considering its a double baffle? There's enough space to fit it there so I don't see how it would be a problem but figured I'd post to get input, any possible side affects?

  18. My amp is currently mounted on top of my sub box at the moment. How can I keep the screws (drywall) from coming loose or snapping off? What kind of screws or nuts and bolts do you guys recommend? Eventually I will mount the amp somewhere else but for now that's where it will stay.

Hi everyone, I have a 1993 lexus gs300. I'm relocating the battery to the trunk, purchasing a 200amp alternator, and doing a big 3 upgrade. I'm running two amplifiers (jl 1000/1 and a 300/4). So I figured at the least I'm going to need zero gauge coming back to the battery. Can someone here please advise me the correct way to run the positive wires? I was planning on running a positive 1/0 from battery to alternator and split it from there to the fuse box and starter. I'm trying to do this right while my engine is outside of the car so I do not encounter any electrical issues down the road.

I have an MTX Thunder 8100 mono amp that I bought new a while back and Im wondering what the REAL output of it is broken down by ohm load. Anybody ever used one of these? I had it on 2 HX2 12's but Im wondering how it would do on 2 SSA Icon 12's. Would it suffice?

I have 2 MTX amps that both basically have the same problem. They both have little to no ouput. They are receiving sufficient voltage from the battery (14.4V) and the RCAs (4V). No matter what settings I use nothing changes. Neither seem to have bad transistors or anything. One looks perfect and the other has burnt speaker outputs, which seems to be the obvious problem. Amps: MTX TA81001D (Right) MTX TE1501D (Left) Could anyone possibly tell me whats wrong or direct me to someone that could fix them?
