I have a pheonix gold xenon 200.4 and I am looking for a new pair of components that can handle the power from this amp

So my friend has a 2001 camaro z28 And he doing a wall build With to HDC418-D1( about to order) And running 3 group 31 batts and a group 34 x power under the hood With a mechman 320 alt( do not have yet) Box will be tune low in the 28-32( will be talking to Alton about that) So we came across 2 good deals to stay in budget on the amp both are around same price Crescendo bc 5500. Or dc 5k both are used....I google each and read up on some stuff but We still looking for more outside input I do not want any other amp choices...it was hard already talking him in to walling off is car...

Hello Everybody i'm new here. and i have some questions ! i'm gonna buy HAVOC 15 and hook it up to Amp : Sundown 1000d is it good ? it will be loud ? because i don't have money right now for 1500D and i heard that the amp is Underated is it true ?

Ok a lot to go through but ill start with my Saz 1500d wired @ 1ohm to a nightshade 18 d2, i have a 106ah marine batt up front big 3 in 1/0 with all grounds secured to chassis HU is alpine 9883 car is a 1978 ford Ltd. alt was upgraded to 100 amps from 60 (awaiting HO alt). Voltage checked before and after all fuses 14 with car on 12 with car off, previously the remote lead went out on the HU so i ran a toggle switch via jumper wire and all was fine. The problem started after i finished the big 3 everything was going smooth at full tilt voltage staying above 13 volts then after about 10 min of play with car running amp stopped playing no protect light or anything so i…

I have a 3 way electronic crossover 18db slope and rta on my Head unit. I have 3 6 volt preouts front, rear, and subs, I have my tweets run off front channel and my mids ( 2 5.25's ) off the rear channel and the subs my question is. I know what freq the crossover points are, but I am not sure what Q is on the crossover, I can adjust the freq range and the q of the crossover. And I think I may be doing my high and low pass on the bandpass portion incorrectly. I have the high pass set to 3500 and the lowpass set to 100, was not sure about the Q so I left it alone. I have not done anything with RTA, I messed with it some but could not tell a real difference in positioning b…

Well I just started today really trying to tweak everything on my amplifiers to get everything working correctly. I started with my big amp setting the gain with a DMM. all that went well but I noticed that my subsonic may have been off. So I popped in a tone to 33hz to try and make it cutoff at that point and its not. I cranked it up to 60 hz (has a range of 10-60hz) and it is still not cutting that signal out. Is it possible I have a faulty SSF? I have a SAZ-3500D and a SAX-50.4

Hey guys, Been a while, but it is warm again. I am going to a friends, and he is putting 6 cheap components in the back of his car temp. He has 1 amp which is a 2 channel amp. Should I do 3 a piece or should I bridge the amp? Should I do 6 off of it? Thanks Josh

Hey guys, here's my predicament. I currently have an Alpine 9881 that I use to control my 6.5" Component set of adire koda's up front. The koda's run off a Rockford 800a2 @ 4 ohms getting...maybe 150rms I think. However, I know I can get some better SQ out of them if I pick up my head unit features. Here's some of the things i am hoping for and what I am not really worried about. Need: Good iPod control ( I love the alpine one now, but am open to others) HP and LP filters (The 9881 now only has very limited options). I'm at home, sick as a dog, feeling too shitty to really do anything or go anywhere, so I'm drawing out plans fot my next system. my question is, with a 370a Alt, XS d3400 up front and a D7500 in the rear, what is the maximum amount of power you could comfortably run, RMS. I ask, because I'd like to keep it as simple as possible, but still have flexibility after should I upgrade from my current equipment. Thank you for humoring me in my moment of boredom lol

What is the best entry level amp in the market today?... Obviously they will not match those high-end amp so lets not compare them... just want to know for consumer preference...

First of all i'm thinking of running 2 audio que 18s (HDC318) on 2000w rms a piece, is this possible? If it is possible, would i only need 1 ho alt and how many amps? 300? lastly, should i switch my stock battery with something different AND throw one in the trunk or what would you suggest? Thanks.

i was gonna see what you guys thought i have a 70 amp alt lying around and im gonna rebuild it...but i was gonna see if it is enough to handle the load of my amp (soundstream 2000d) i can make a bracket and fit it in and just use the second one for the stereo....i dont have 590 bucks lying around for a new mechman....i was just curuios if it could handle it.... thanks for all yalls help

i am looking to buy an amp and im kind of undecided on what i want. right now im leaning towards a sundown 2000 but i need to know if anyone has ran one at 1/2 ohm because i need atleast 2000 watts rms @ 1/2 ohm or 2 ohm

I want to put a 17 or 19" dell monitor and adapt it to play my music videos out of the trunk at the same time my pioneer 700bt is playing. It can be done I was told by custom sounds, but you need to have an video adapter. any other suggestions? I am trying to do this the cheapest way. OR I can buy a 20" tv and just plug it right into my (yellow) rca video cable and run with it. But I was wondering if there was another CHEAP way around 200$ or less. And yes the bang will problably shatter the screen but I might put it in my back window, don't know quite yet. thanks fellas

I recently purchased an Alpine 9887 and can not believe the difference in the imagining that TA makes. How did I ever get along without? ok my girls dad bought her a cheap lil boss HU, and whenever she hits a bump it skips, lol, so i was thinking maybe put some sponge or something in thier and it would fix the problem any other ideas?

So I am about to purchase the BL18 Dual 1 ohm, but I am not sure on what amp and head units fit this sub the best. Can anyone give me any suggestions? I need the sub for rap and hip hop that involve a lot of bass to pump me on my way to the gym, because I bodybuild. I drive a 98 Lexus es 300 and will probably throw it in my trunk. And I am also unsure of what kind of box to use, and what dimensions. Can anybody give me some suggestions? (you might be a poet and not even know it- wow that was gay)

Hey guys, i'm having a problem with my front comp speakers (PG RSD 6.5) and the amp for them (Sundown SAX-100.2) I just put a new head unit into the car, its a Sony xplod CDX-gt 5. I know, its a garbage head unit but i'm selling the car and didn't want to give away my good unit with it. My problem is that there is almost no sound coming out of the front speakers even though i have the gains flat out maxed on the amp. Help would be greatly appritiated.

Iv read many a thread talking about caps and well, nobody likes them ^^. So what i was thinking about doing, instead of just chucking it, would it be possible to remove the LED display and wire it upfront to be used as a voltmeter? Opinions?

Did you know that of all places Circuit City is now stocking Eclpise?? I have just gotten and installed the CD-3000 and I do have to say it is VERY nice for the money. Not a ton of features that you dont need but it seems to have good clean sound. Nice 5v constant outputs from the pre-amp. A few built in EQ's and a somewhat OK cross-over. It playes MP3's ect and has a pretty nice display! I would love to see the CD-7000 in action. Then again.. I dont need navagation! Good day all!

With two D1 ohm subs if wired in series for a 4 ohm load with two 1500rms 1ohm mono amps strapped would that give me a final load on the amps of 2ohms being there strapped? If wired in series/parallel for a 1 ohm load with two 1500rms 1ohm mono amps strapped would that give me a final load on the amps of .5ohm strapped? Also out of all the researching I've done regarding strapping, is it true that 2 strapped 1500rms 1ohm mono amps be like a 3k 2ohm amp? I posted this elsewhere also n I believe they answered wrong considering everything I find its double the power/ohm just wanna get another opinion in a better worded post
