needs some opinions on a good 1/2 din eq for under 150. just what some people are using. the main thing that i want is two inputs not aux just frt and rear with three outputs but if i have to i can do without.

So I have a very annoying problem and need some advice on how to address it! It seems that I have some serious static noise from the radio. I've done some intensive testing over the weekend, and come to one conclusion. Is that the noise is coming directly from the radio itself. I will list some of the things I've done over the weekend to come to this conclusion. Swap the amplifier for a known good amplifier, problem presist Swap radio with known good radio, problem goes away Swap my rca's into a known good amp(different vehicle), problem goes away Swap rca's from known good radio from another vehicle into my radio, problem is now in that vehicle Ground rca to headunit c…

Soo i was drivin down the street bumpin and all the sudden my subs cut off, when i checked it the amp was not turned on but the fuse wasnt blown, i took the fuse out then put it back in, the amp turned back on immedatley after. next time im driving it does the same thing and i have to take the fuse out and put it back in to turn on the amp. it only cuts out when i turn it up to a little over half volume. i would just go throw on another fuse but they dont sell any 250a fuses at my local places so id have to order online

Ok so i got the power wire and my rca running next to each other, B) , is their somethng i can put in bewteen them to make it not whine...

i took my equipment out of my car to diagnose a problem. while it was out it was stolen. so now i am stuck with factory power. the problem now though is, the factory system had some issues when i bought it. at a little over half volume the sound from the tweeters cuts out when there is a louder sound.. like a yell or.. scream. or just louder singing. head unit? or amp. 03 z4 by the way

Would i need a new battery and alternator to run 1500 watts...i have a rockfor fosgate 250.2 and have it bridged to 2 ohms i'm aware that i'm not suppose to do that but not too concerned about the amp i just need something to push the 10's behind my seat...but i am wanting to run a 1000 watt 1 channel amp to power a 15" Fi Q...please help

I'm curious as to what I could upgrade to with my current electrical system. I currently have zero issues with voltage at full tilt with all lights and a/c on blast, steady 14.0 with my AB PH-4000 and Lanzar Vibe 231 (ick, yes eww) I have two group 65's and a group 29 ran with zero, big three with 200a alt. Batts are under backseat, so pretty short runs in my mountaineer. I used less than 30ft of wire (direct runs both positive and negative). How can I estimate this myself for future reference?

OK, 2001 Grand Vitara, 200K miles, stock alt for all I know. My lil Zuk's alternator has me worried. I has always noticed that the lights where dimmer at idle and the dim noticeable when you roll the windows etc... Well- installed a small system and every time it would hit(lil 600w Soundstream) the lights would dim. I figure it has a pathetic lil alt wire, and the Big 3 would probably fix it up. Always seemed worse at Idle/lower rpms, than at cruising speed(3K rpm). I finally got a volt meter installed. After attending my first bass off in VA last weekend the bug has bitten. Car will be paid off this summer so it's time to start thinking about uprades. I'm not looking to dominate competitions, but I do wanna get way louder. Right now I'm thinking 2-3k would be good for me. Being that I'm running a 5 channel now I know I'll be adding a second amp for the highs. At this point, will an extra battery in back be enough, or do I need to start looking at HO alts? i decided that i might as well do the big three in my town car, but i have a few questions about it. first, from the batt pos to the alt, im not sure how to connect the 1/0 to the alt. heres a pic of my alt how should i connect it to ther? should i just try and remove that red thing? also, i dont know were the engine block to chassis connection is. could someone please tell me how to find it? heres what the bay looks like another thing... can i just run the pos batt. to alt just straight across to the right and zip tie it to like the radiator hose? thanks for the help!

My friend has a 2004 Kicker L7 8. He needs an amp for it. It is DVC 4 ohm. He wants to put around 750-1000 watts on it. He also doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I have tried to find a good amp for that price, but its hard to get full power with that vc configuration.

Wow it looks like nothing came up... So, i'm wanting to get a Sundown SAE-1000D to power my Fi Q10. My sub has dual 1ohm coils. My question is, what will i have to do to keep my amp from burning up if i wire it to .5ohms? If planning big three and a bigger battery. Any ideas? Thanks, Michael

What type of sealant should I use on my rubber gasket (firewall) that is "temporary" (can be taken off in a couple of years)?

My US Merlin md3d just blew in my car by far one of my favorite amps cause its 1 ohm stable....way underrated...n excepts 0 gauge. Don't kno were to go from here... I can get another Merlin for like 400 and be happy but wanted to here your guys thoughts on Wat I should get.... I'm runnin 2 Orion hcca 10" wired together for 1 ohm....any suggestions would b awesome...thanx

Does it matter to have multiple runs from alt to batt in the big 3 since its a short run when having multiple runs from front to back?

i was talkin to my dad about doin the big 3 with an HO alt on my car and he said goin from the alt to the engine would be a problem, cuz the stock wire has to go thru some kinda box, maybe circuitbreaker or fusebox? iono. this is gonna usin 1/0 gauge wire. 1st step of my 3rd system overhaul. thanks for your help pple!
