im going active in a month or 2 and i just saw some kicker zx100.2 amps on ubid.com. the bid is closing friday and i think i could get 2 of them for like $15 each (not including shipping). they are factory refurbs. ive purchased a kx250.2 from them previously. my idea is to bridge them to each mid and use my 250.2 for tweets. will this work? might hold off and try for a zx 150.2 or 200.2 next week...

so im buying this amp an i was gonna buy a 0-scope to set my amp gains. but since there's a clip light will that allow me to set the gains as high as they'll go without sendin a clipped signal.? kinda like what an o-scope would do an tell me when the signal was gettin clipped?

I have a buddy on another forum that has a KX 600.1 and it keeps going in and out of protection mode. The green light comes on for a while, then cycles back into protect, then green, then protect............. Any idea what the problem is? He let one of his friends mess with it one day and I guess they cranked the gains full tilt. He blew his L7. He took it out for a little while and hooked it up to another driver and it was working fine. When he put it back in his car after getting his new L7, it started doing all this. I think he's screwed, but maybe not. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I'm kinda debating whether I should go with a Rockford Fosgate 2500-1bd for my 2 Fi Bl 18"s or should get 2 Rockford 1500-1bd what you guys think? Can the 2500 have enough power for them 18"s or will I have to buy 2 1500??

So i am not to familiar with many brands so i would like a few options out there on some amps. What i am looking for is something that is cea rated at 13.8v. I don't need that much power i need 500watts either at 1ohm or 4ohm rated. What i am powering is a single sundown 10" e-series. Reason i need a amp rated at 13.8 is because its going in a 2012 corolla and toyota seems to regulate at a lower voltage which is around 13.8.

Ok so I have a crossfire VR4KD, and this amp has 2 4awg positive inputs & 2 4awg ground inputs. My question is this.... Is it neccessary to have all 4awg as inputs (+ & -) or would it be a problem to run 2 pos 1/0 with 4awg reducers and 2 4awg as gounds? Will the grounds being 4 and the pos being 1/0 be a problem for the amp?

I need to update my double din head unit and looking for some recommendations from experienced people. I have used Alpine iLX-207 which offered me 7 inches touch screen which was easy for me to access all features. The most great thing for me about this head unit is that I can easily manage the system via the screen or from the steering wheel to use Apple Car Play or Android Auto. But recently it stopped working and just showing the dark screen (as its very long I have not upgraded it). Now I am thinking of upgrading it rather than repairing. So I've noticed my system makes makes a sound like bacon sizzlin' on a pan when I go from 0 to 1 on the volume knob. It's not noticable at normal listening volumes, but I'm sure it's still present in the signal. I was wondering if this should concern me.

I am wanting to upgrade my subwoofer from a my current sub to a single sundown x-15. I have a Power Acoustik crypt 1200w 4 channel amp hooked up to 2 Memphis m-class 6x9s and i was wondering if the amp could handle the new sub or if i would have to buy a new amp to power the sub and if i do have to buy a new one what amp would work well. thanks

I was just wondering if this is bad for my car. I have two sa 12s and a hifonics BE2500.240a mechman alternator, big 3, zapper d2400 and a xp750. When I was playing Elie Gouldings "High for this" decaf after the bass drop my voltage shot up to 16.4 Is there something I should do to.regulate it? Or will it be.fine if it happens again?

Hi there. I'm trying to figure out the safest, most cost-effective way to wire two amps, particularly, the remote-turn-on wires. I have seen a lot of stuff saying just wire both wires to the H-U remote turn on, while others say it can burn out the H-U. I'll be using 2 300w RMS amps if it makes any difference...

Is it ok to use only two channels of a four channel amp?

Here's my head unit specs: 5v peak/ 2v RMS RCA output on all channels 100 ohm low impedance pre-amp outputs bass frequency adjustment - 60, 80, 100, 130, 150 and 200hz bass q factor - 1, 1.25, 1.5, and 2 treble frequency adjustment - 10, 12.5, 15, and 17khz sub x-over - 80, 120, and 160hz sub phase - 0 - 180 sub level - variable looking at the Audiocontrol Matrix, running two US Amps.

So a friend of mine has a Q45 (the car) and he has the BOSE speaker system installed in it. He's no car enthusiast, nor am i, we just like our stuff working (I am the sub junkie). Recently he said his front left tweeter stopped working completely. He said if he breaks hard it will work for that moment, and perfectly. I'm leaning that it's not blown and it might be a loose wire? Should i just pull the dash open, rewire that speaker? Thanks

I'm looking to get a new head unit that will stream audio from my Droid to the unit. 2 Questions... 1. What are the sound quality limitations of Bluetooth transfer. 2. What are my options for the best head units available that offer streaming audio. Goals: I want better audio quality than the crappy headphone out and preferably the least amount of filtering to the signal (I have an H701 to handle processing needs) It would be awesome if the unit featured a digital out for connection to my H701, though it's not necessary. Hello, I have a bad noise only when I play with the engine running. I was trying to unhook the sub from the amp, but I start to unscrew it with the sound playing ! my bad Something went wrong, I think the tool touched something wrong and I suddenly heard a bad "electric" noise. Now, when my system play withe engine off : no problem! Engine on : I can hear a sort of alternator noise if I don't crank it up. I can hear the noise of the direction lights in the front speakers! If I take off the rca's': no noise. I checked the grounds: no problem. I tried other rca's : same noise. It seems that the problem is coming from the hu : what do you think about that? I did not try…
