since i put in my DC 270XP the charging voltage likes to sit high at 15.0-15.3. how can i adjust the voltage or lower it to around 14.5-14.8?

i have recently installed a subwoofer in my car, its a hertz hx250 d wich delivers 450Wrms in 2 ohm. It is driven by a Audison SR 1D mono amplifier wich delivers 460 wrms in 2 ohm. i just discovered that adjusting this shit was easier said than dine. So i wonder if anyone might help me along with tips and advises. Kay.

I bought a DC Power 250xp alt over a year ago for my 2011 Malibu. Been sitting in the garage ever since. I've found out my vehicle is PCM controlled. Is there going to be any kind of upgrade installing this thing? Did I waste $650 by not doing my homework? My system isn't anything huge but I have a 2nd battery in the back that doesn't seem to be keeping voltage up. As far as amps a sundown 1500 and a fosgate t400.4. I tried listing the alt for sale but no bites. Basically should I even bother installing this thing? DC quoted $130 to recase this. Maybe recase for my 03 Tahoe (if its not PCM controlled?)

So I decided to finally put my two L78's (4 ohm) to use on my new blazer rs. The thing is that im using a shitty "2500 watt" power acoustik amp. What amp should I get? Ported box. Under $300 because it's pretty rough out there these times around. I also have the lc2i installed... if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I am looking at getting a Sundown 3000D and a 100.4, I have a stock 110 amp alternator but I think the car uses most of it because it has a lot of electronic crap. So would I be fine maybe getting like two deep cycle batteries one for starter and one for system and running a isolator, or am I gonna have to get a HO alternator? The only way I can get an alternator is to get it custom made and I'm sure that won't be cheap. I have a 2000 Buick Lesabre with a 3.8, if anyone can find an alternator for that car at the size I need then I would be grateful but I have searched everywhere and can not find one. So I'm looking for a battery ( one 12v ) to run my two Sundown amps (100.4 and saz1000d) and still be able to keep my Dodge Ram functional . Alil advise on what brand and model should i buy for what I'm running? i guess anything down the lines like XSpower, Kinetik, Stinger etc....... thanx

I'm on the search for an affordable amp that will do rated power. Looking for 2000w @ 1ohm. It will be pushing hopefully a pair of Icon 15's or z15's. Electrical: 200amp h.o Alternator Optima yellow under the hood 1/0 Big three. Also on the search for a decent battery to add to the back if need be.

Bought an aftermarket alternator from DC power, I put it in and the top OEM braket wold fit the new one. Will the alt be ok with just the bottom screws holding it in?

I drive a 2006 Chevy Malibu LT and was wanting to install an after market in dash DVD unit. The problem am having is finding the correct interface. I do have the on star option but it isnt currently in use nor will it be if this helps. There are may different interface out there and am just needing some help finding the correct one for my vehicle. I am planning on installing the Pioneer AVH-2500BT unit. man this post puts a damper on upgrading alternators for me. Anyone know how to get around this PCM stuff other than rewinding/rebuilding.

Has anyone heard of concorde sun xtender batteries? Someone local to me is selling some and was wondering if they would be the same as any agm battery for car audio.. could get a good deal on them for the amount of amp hours they are. Just never heard of them before. Any input is appreciated

I have 2 large 100aH AGM batteries in the rear and a factory sized AGM under the hood. A cpl weeks ago I went to start the van and it was dead. I got it started and voltage was terribly low. I only ran it for a few minutes then let it sit, restarted a few times for a few minutes...I dont have a charger. After a couple days everything seemed back to normal. I watch the factory gauge a lot closer and am surprised at how much voltage can change day to day while running, independant of hot days to cold days. Some times it runs around 13.5V other times 14.2V, even in the same day, sometimes 14.2V when its warmer and been driving and sometimes 13.5V when its colder and/or less …

Going to be picking up my 88 Cadillac Eldorado this weekend and it needs a new battery under the hood. I need the biggest bang for my buck. I'm looking at WalMart since Marine Batteries are cheap. Any suggestions on which has the most oomph without having to tear under hood to fit something. I'll be running extra batteries in the back for the future, but right now I'll just need to run a Carver PMA 2062 for front stage and a Helix SPXL1000B in the future to run a pair of DP's. My budget is around 100 bucks.

My buddy has a charger its a "smart charger" so he says will charge a 2v something charge its like the slowest charge he says. It has every abbreviation on it but agm. Will it work for my 3100?

So today i received a nice new 220amp DB electrical alternator since my stocker finally fell victim to the 3500D. After a 5 hour install process which is considered fast on a mazda tribute........ i start the car up and hear a big old grinding noise coming from it. Needless to say i am highly pissed at the situation and they best have a new one at my dorr very quick. Anyone else had experience with them? I herd alot of good things and for the price its not bad at all. Anyways expect a new video with 4 agms and a new alt soon if i ever get it fixed..... should be a good little gain.

So, i'm looking at getting an aftermarket alarm system for my truck, but not sure what to get. I want to get a good one. But only problem is, my truck dont have no power locks, just manual locks, or that wont really matter?

so today i went to a car audio shop to get a 2 way alarm system with remote start. when the guy finally finished the system worked fine and then i realized when the car was off and everything locked.. the brake light and the front caution light wont turn off...... does anybody have any idea why this would be.... its almost 11 at night where im at and the guy told me to come back in the morning which means i have to disconnect my batt so it wont die and the re connect it in the morning.... CAN ANYBODY PLEASE HELP WITH THIS TOPIC..... im very frustrated right now..?????? thanks

Whats the best alarm system I can buy for around $150. Any Suggestions?

I am in the market for a new alarm with remote start, this will be going in my mustang. I'm going to have it professionally installed by a friends shop. Currently What I am looking for is an alarm with remote start, two way pager, a decent range 1000-1500ft, 2-Way remote with tone and vibe modes. I am looking into the Avital 5303, but I would prefer a remtoe that actually includes all the buttons into one but is not exactly required. I am looking for some suggestion and reviews. Price I would like to hit would be around 200-300 for the alarm its self. Thanks.

I just got an omega Excalibur installed by a shop around here and I'm having a very strange issue that hopefully someone can shed some light on. The shop has been troubleshooting this problem for over a week now. So here isnthe problem... After I arm the system, 30 minutes to the dot the alarm triggers and kills my ignition. What this means is the remote start feature becomes entirely useless unless I constantly start it before the 30 minutes is up. Today the installer told me it's the trunk that's triggering the alarm. I don't know anything about alarms so I'm pretty lost here. The installer has been doing this stuff for years and has never seen this happen. Anybody have…

Hey guys, had a few questions. I was looking through all of the topics, and it seems that most people either go with Knukonceptz, WeldingSupply, or Kicker. I was wondering if there were any benefits one has over the other (other than price, obviously). About how many feet of wire is usually necessary for an SUV setup? This number should include wiring from front to back as well as the big 3. I was thinking right around 30 with some room to spare. I could be way off though, that's why I'm asking.
