Drew and I have been discussing some possible options for my new HU and I decided to order a Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X794. Pretty pumped! Anyone have any experience with this HU? Yeah I know it's a little late for that but w/e

Ok so I got a new to me truck. It has a stereo in it already which is good. A JL 12w1v2 in a sealed truck box, hertz components, a rockford punch 300.1, and a kenwood excelon x797 I don't like the x797 so I put my kenwood excelon x998 in it. I can't see the display at all on sunny days with this headunit. I want a new single din with 4v+. I don't care about active, or a CD player. If it has a CD ok no big deal. I love all the features of my x998 but its just no doing it for me anymore. I'm more about features. I will not spend more than $250 so that leaves out the 80prs it seems. Okay, so i've been away for a min but i've finally got me another vehicle with room for a system, and my question is as far as opinons go what is the best head unit for around 400 or less that is internally amplified, thanks for the help in advance!

Ok so I'm looking for a few suggestions on a few amps for my planned 4 Sundown X 10's or other comparable sub. Vehicle is 07 Mini Cooper s Big 3 1/0 upgrade Battery is stock till it finally goes then plan on an AGM of some sort will worry later on that HU is Pioneer 80 prs as far as goals are concerned I really dont have any I just want to have other Mini's jealous. Ok well i got rid of the D3, and got a CDA-9887. LOL, bid difference i know. But before i've even done any sound setup or tweaking my subs instantly sounded better after they were turned on. But DAMN there are alot of sound options. I tried for 10 mins just to setup the HPF so i can take the bass out of the front and rear speakers to no avail. Needless to say at this point i feel kinda dumb. But i've been really busy today so i haven't had a chance to read the manual. I knew this deck had alot of options but man this is rediculous. i just got word that i might be able to get one of the new jbl amps (bpx1100.1 or bpx2200.1) for cheap.....like manufacturer cost cheap....worth thinking about, i've heard very little about these amps, and if i do decide to go this route it will be replacing my hifonics 1500 to power a xxx15 :boxin:

I really like the look of the newly released Kandy Kable but the thing that is dissapointing. CCA wire . 90% aluminum 10% copper. Turned me away automatically

Phoenix Gold was dying a slow death under Rodin owner ship. AAMP of America recently bought PG, and a few old PG employee's are back to bring it back to where it once was. There are plans for a high end line and bigger power then the last few generations of amplifiers that were watered down for the Best Buy masses.

so I have a 9300 and a 660 as of today, and i went to go plug in the new 660 to make sure everything was good and the plug was diff from the 9300 which pissed me off. It was basicly the same but the 660 one was a tad larger and i didnt feel like hooking up a new harness just to test the new hu. anyone know if the 4 or 5 series are the same as the new 6? thanks! -aaron

Was looking around the pioneer site and I came across THIS man it looks sweet I cant wait to get it and replace my 880 PRS. Just upgraded my headunit now have the Pioneer DEH-P610BT it looks great, and I've always loved pioneer headunit. Anyone have this headunit? So I just upgraded from a factory HU that I had connected to my Sundown 2000D with a LOC. With my factory HU, all I had to do was bring the volume to 12 (75%) and then get my bass knob and increase it 4 clicks. That was loud bass and loud mids/highs with no distortion. Today I just got a Pioneer DEH-P800PRS. Installed it, took out the LOC and connected the Rockford RCA cable to the Subwoofer output. Reseted the headunit to default (by pressing the small button on the front of face plate), started listening to FM, CDs and even my iPod and realized there is no bass. I checked the LPF and its on default 80hz. I havent touched any filter on my amp. I even thought I had to inc…

hey guys, i joined like 5 years ago and used to troll back when fxn and some of the other explorer sites were still around. Since, then I have gotten a different truck, 2006 GMC Canyon, and now comes the system addiction. In my explorer I was running a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 amp to 2 Adire Audio Shiva mark !V's. However after about 2 months the amp fried somehow and I swapped to a RF amp and it is still running strong even though I know longer have it. The point of this post is that I want to put a system in the new truck, with either a few 8's or some shallow 10's and I would love to be able to use this PG amp since I know i can get it fixed.
