well i got my SAZ 1500d in the mail a few days ago... and now i have my 1/0 gauge Tsunami amp kit to replace the 4 gauge from my old sub amp... so now i am getting ready to install it all, i was just wondering if anyone had any good sugestions on where to set the subsonic and the LPF knobs ? and i a guessing to leave the phase off.. this amp is to run my 15" Xcon.. it is in a 4 cubic feet box ported to 32 hz.... i figured there would be someone here who could get me close..

when tuning an amp without the bass boost on you tune it right before the amp starts to clip ... so if you increase the bass boost wont it make the amp clip or am i missing something?

Mine shipped with Bamaboy's but took a little longer to make the trip to Denver. 250 amps of pure fury....freakin more power than I got going in my house Its cold and raining today......perfect for doing this little project As soon as I finish my I will drag my tired butt outside and git-r-done, with pics of course . I'm plan on going from 1 AT3000.1, to two Current electrical is a 230 amp alt, stinger SPP1200 under the hood, and an HC2000 in the trunk with 4 runs of 0ga Full tilt daily I might see 14v flat as long as I keep it revved lol. Lowest I saw it drop while metering, was 13.5 but I let of the gas... But it seemed to stay at 13.8 or higher after a long burp staying revved. A buddy of mine just got a new 2010 Silverado. He took the old head-unit out of his other truck to put in this truck. The HU is a pioneer in-dash double din, not sure which model but it's fairly new. His harness for the old truck (an older silverado 00-05) is not the same for this new truck. We've looked everywhere for a compatible harness but cannot find one. The stereo also doesn't fit where stock double din was, so I guess we will need a dash kit too. Any help would be VERY appreciated. These new vehicles piss me off.. Here is the stock stereo

Whats the difference between the Kolossus Fleks Kable 1/0 and the normal KLMX Kable 1/0?? Other than the Kolossus made up of pure copper are the strand counts different? Also Isnt the normal KLM Kable just as good as kolossus? Material wise except flexibility? Thanks. Just wanted some clarification.

I just bought a new mtx ta7801 well I traded 2 R.F. P1's forit but anyway anyone no of any problems with these amps it sounds nice and clean the birth sheet says it puts out 1732w at 1 ohm. Just wanted your guys opinion onit I've never been a big fan of MTX so idk anything about them.

This may be a stupid question, but i want to be sure before i go and buy this. I want to run this amp(kicker zx200.4) for only one component set. I could just bridge it so it does 100 watts x2 at 4 ohms, right? or is bridging a 4 channel to a two channel not a good idea? thanks

I am looking for two bass control knobs for two kicker amps. Two questions 1) will a generic or other brand "phone line" bass controller work with my kicker amps? 2) Why are they so darned expensive. ppl are asking 25-30 bucks for them, essentially they are a potentiometer with a rubber dial? I dont see where the cost is incurred.

alrite ive got a set of the image dynamics idq 31 eq's and if anyone has ever dealt with these they probably know how to help me. the back of them has all liek XLR input and output jacks, except for 1 rca input and 1 rca output. the way i have had them hooked up for the past year (and yes i kno this is horibly wrong and totally killed my stereo imaging) is had the front l+r into a y cable and in to the eq then out and split it back into a l+r rca. and same with the back. It bugged the hell outta me and i do not want to run it like this so i was wondering if anyone can give me any input on all of the other jacks on the back or if anyone has any of the plugs or anything. ot…

im looking to buy 2 new batteries for the back of my truck. ill be runnin a 225 amp alt with the IA40.1 and a 4 channel alpine 4x90w.. im leanin toward the powermaster d2400's.. the 2 other batteries on my list would be the Xstatic Batcap model 2000 or the Deka Intimidator Battery - 9A31 opinions please..?

I had a sundown saz 2500d shipped to be and I'm positive it was dropped during shipping and the speaker wire input busted off. I was wondering how i could go about getting that fixed and what the cost would be. or if I can just order a new one. The metal that connects internally is busted off. I'm not positive if its covered under warranty or not. I emailed sundown and haven't heard anything back from the yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i just put in my sundown 1500D and it turns on, but nothing comes out of it volts or anything

hi, i just finished installing the sax 200.4, everything was going well, i was just tuning up some of my bass levels and stuff when suddenly my front speakers just died and the subs kept playing. it wasn't loud enough to warrant any kind of speaker failure and the amp wasn't going into protect at all. my setup is two 4 ohm subs wired to 2 ohms running off channels 3 and 4 bridged and 2 pairs of components wired to 2 ohms each pair running off channels 1 and 2. my gains weren't cranked up at all, it was all sounding healthy, and then the front 2 channels just died. i turned it off and let it sit for a while, disconnected the battery, checked my wiring, nothing helped. does…

I have a few spare 10" Alpine Type S dual 2ohm subs that have been sitting around for a little over a year with no home. I'm planning on using one of them in a friends sealed box (.75) running it at 1ohm using the Zed Minilith. The Alpine is rated at 300rms. The Zed is rated a bit over 600rms at 1ohm. Id this too much for that sub, or should I just wire it to a 4ohm load.

ok my girls dad bought her a cheap lil boss HU, and whenever she hits a bump it skips, lol, so i was thinking maybe put some sponge or something in thier and it would fix the problem any other ideas?

so i have 2 1501d (04 models) an i want to strap them, i have the basic idea from reasearch that i did but i have never done it before. so i understand that the + from the speaker goes to the + of the master amp, an the -from the speaker goes to the + of the slave amp. my question is does the - from the master amp go to the - of the slave amp. also if im missing anything. thanks for your help

im planning a large build right now and was thinking if my alternator only puts out 250 or so amps and my wire is rated at 300amps is multiple runs really needed? my plan is one DC or equal 270 amp alt( doubt i can find a dual alt for this car). 2 runs + and two runs - from the starting battery to my battery bank of 9 batteries running approx 10k watts.

hi, i am going to be getting 2 12" SX and i am looking for an amp for them. they are only dvc2 so the ohm loads it can either be .5, 2 if i get a mono amp or 1 or 4 ohm if i get 2 mono amps. i would like to be as cheap as possable as that means i can get them sooner. which is a good thing. i was thinking of 2 md1d or a md3d if i can find out if they are .5 ohm stable. any suggestions?

Sup everyone, had a few questions. So I just got the new Sundown SAX 100.4D. Its got some EQ buttons that I question because I dont know them. Under the High Pass Filter there is a button is either 12db or if pressed 24db. Also beside that one is a x1 or x10? The last is a knob that ranges from 50Hz -500Hz. Can anyone tell me the advantage of any of them? I played with those settings a little last night when I installed the amp.. I just need someone to give me a good starting point and a better understanding on how to set them. Examples would be greatly appreciated. Again I'm not a complete noob but I do need better understanding on many things. I have my amp set to the …
