Are these any good? the amp I'm getting, an AQ2200d requires a 200 amp fuse, and im using 2/0 welding cable so i figure il ljust get five, best bang for my buck and in case any pop i'll have an extra http://cgi.ebay.com/Tsunami-200-Amp-ANL-Fu...bayphotohosting And for a fuse block/holder, should I use the typical screw down the cable, or should I get the ones that you use a wire terminal on each end and just touch the fuse together? Have any suggestions on some? I need 2 affordable ones, but 3 if they are REALLY affordable.. I'm not trying to cheap out, but I just don't think its necessary to spend 75$ on three fuses... So can u guys tell me which head units u think are better sound quality wise and features. I'm goin to get either a pioneer premier or kenwood excelon and idk whch one to get. My friends tell me kenwood isn't any good but I hear from experienced car audio technicians that kenwood makes better head units than premier. I was looking to get the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X693 or the Pioneer Premier DEH-P510UB. They are both around the same price and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nick

when tuning an amp without the bass boost on you tune it right before the amp starts to clip ... so if you increase the bass boost wont it make the amp clip or am i missing something?

I recently had an apline head unit installed in a toyota camry. I have a memphis audio amplifier pushing four 6X9's and an JBL amplifier pushing two subwoofers. Everything was working fine in my jeep and then yesterday when it was installed in my camry this happened. The head unit puts out an audio signal to the amplifiers only when using the radio, the cd player and ipod can't be heard through the speakers connected to external amplifiers ( but the cd and ipod can be heard through the speakers that are being pushed through the head unit's internal amplifier).

SparkFun Electronics - DSO Nano - Pocket-Sized Digital Oscilloscope seems pretty decent, not sure if it covers the ranges needed to detect clipping from HU and also to set my gains properly...Any input? Thanks.

hey guys i just orderd a SSA xcon 15 and i am wondering if there are any other amps beside sundown that is worth buying because i do not have the money for a sundown amp. i was looking at hifonics and they have 1500 RMS amps at 1ohm for 200$ are they any good or can you guys give me any ideas on what other amps that are good for less money. please let me know. on my highs amp, im running the power wire as 8 gauge and the ground wire as 4 gauge(i was told this was ok by a friend and professional installer). im not doubting his credibility, i just wanted to know what are the advantages and disadvantages if there are any to wiring your amps this way

Ok, so I decided to go with a Alpine 9887 with the time imprint. my next question is can this deck do a good job if I run my mids active? I have never tried to run an active setup before, and was hoping you guys could point me in a direction as to how it all works. I know you need to run each speaker on a seperate channel of an amp. So, I will have to buy another mid amp. Now would I just use RCA splitter on say the front right to get my mid and highs seperate? Now I also read that you have to run it in full range and control it all of of the deck EQ is that correct?

I just bought a new mtx ta7801 well I traded 2 R.F. P1's forit but anyway anyone no of any problems with these amps it sounds nice and clean the birth sheet says it puts out 1732w at 1 ohm. Just wanted your guys opinion onit I've never been a big fan of MTX so idk anything about them.

I am looking for specs on efficiency and THD for .5,1,2 ohm applications of the Q13500D.1, basscleff 5500, and sundown sa2 5000. while these manufactures list there 4Ohm and even 2 ohm on some, none of them seem to have any detailed specs on 1ohm loads and as for sundown i cant seem to find ANY specs to speak of on their website so im some what leery there. does anyone know that the exact THD, signal to noise, and efficiency is at 1ohm loads for these amps? thanks.

How much of a difference between Stinger and Sound Quests line of pure oxygen free copper power wire. Is it pretty much the same with a different package.

I'm looking to get a new head unit that will stream audio from my Droid to the unit. 2 Questions... 1. What are the sound quality limitations of Bluetooth transfer. 2. What are my options for the best head units available that offer streaming audio. Goals: I want better audio quality than the crappy headphone out and preferably the least amount of filtering to the signal (I have an H701 to handle processing needs) It would be awesome if the unit featured a digital out for connection to my H701, though it's not necessary. I recently swapped out my Pioneer DEH-P5900iB for an Alpine IDA-X001. I absolutely love the usability of the unit, but it lacks the equalizer features of the Pioneer. I'm considering getting either an AudioControl EQL or MA MA15EQX for my front stage. It would be mounted on my sub box, not a dash model. Any recommendations? Thanks, -fp

I drive a work van with a Sony CDX-Mp70 hu. There are no rear speakers installed in the van so i was wondering if i could bridge the rear channels with the front to get some more power up there... Any ideas?

Alright, so i own a PG Ti. 500.4 and my speakers will randomly seem to cut in and out. All of a sudden only 1 speaker in my car will be working, and at other times all 4 will work. Now i went back and checked my amp, it seems that the aux inputs are the problem. When i wiggle them around a bit, unplug them and plug them back in they all work. They will work for like a week and then start cutting out again. I actually ended up taking the cover off and looking at the solder points on the amp where the inputs are and they seem to be fine. Should i just like... tape the wires in place so that they dont move? Idk what else to do.

I've got a '03 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ, with a stock battery and 150amp alt. If I run a SAZ 1500d with my DC 15, will my stock electrical system be able to handle this? Or should I install a second battery in the back? Big 3? Any suggestions would help. Thanks.
