Well, a friend told me the other night he had some amps sitting around that he has never used really, so I asked him what he had and he replied with, "power acoustik stuff." Now, I was a little skeptical at first but I decided to look anyways. Well, come to find out one of the amps he had sitting around was a PA A2400DB so I jumped on that. He only wants 200 for it and it comes with original box, packaging, the works. Hooked it up to my Ti and MAN does it make a world of difference having this over my old amp. Ok so almost 6 months ago I loaned my car to a friend and when I got it back my subwoofer was not playing. I started a thread on here asking about how to fix it and what not and I never really came to a conclusive answer. I just got a Sundown SAZ-1000D and plugged it in and went to check the output voltage of the amp and even at high volume with the gain pretty high the highest I get is 3.x AC volts. I am getting power to the amp and it turns on without the protect light or anything I checked the DC voltage at the amp, its in order. Now the one place that does not seem to be right are the RCAs. Alright. So im putting together my new system and im new to this so i need some guidance or help. I just bought a BL 15 fully loaded dual 1 and built the new box so thats takin care of for the sub. Now im buying a Hifonics BXi 1210D. Im going to have to run 4 gauge wire with that amp tho and i was wondering would i want to get an amp with 0 gauge instead? difference? I dont know what to throw around my car for speakers tho. any ideas? Im going to run a Rockford punch 550x2 to the speaks what ever they are. I'm new here so bare with me. I have 2 power acoustic mofo 124x 12 inch 4 ohm dual voicecoils subwoofers running at 1500 watts rms each (3000 watts rms together). They are both wired parrel for 2 ohms each and wired to together at the amp for 1 ohm. I have a skar audio RP-4500.1d mono block amplifier pushing these subs. My question is do I need to upgrade my charging system to 2 high output alternators and 2 batteries along with the big 3? I did the math with the ohms law and just for my audio system alone I need 450 amps. I figured two 300 amp output alternators should be plenty. Am I right or is this overkill? This will take over the duties of powering my front stage. The 2100-XXK that's in there right now is doing fine, but the Germaniums seems like it wants a bit more power....so a bit more power they shall get. The 2100-XXK rated at 100 x 2 @ 4 ohm, the 4150-XXK when bridged will do 320 x 2. (Don't think I'll send THAT much power to them though, but it's good to have some headroom) Not sure if I'm going to use this lil guy. If anything I'll just put it on the 1500-XXK that's powering my sub.

Well, the price was just too good. I went along and got the Visonik and love how it looks. Old school red colour to it, and its pretty damn big. Looks like my next step will to be getting those Icons. Might take a few guts pictures when I get home after work today, wasnt enough time in the morning for it.

hey guys, my names zack i drive an acura 3.0 cl i have a ported close to 4 cube box with 2 SSA ICONS 12's my amp im running now is a 1100 watt Crunch amp, but the problem is i guess there isnt enough power for them cause when i crank it the amp shuts off so now to the problem. i am a COMPLETE newby the the audio world and dont kno really what im shopping for, i know you can wire amps together, am i better off getting another amp and connecting the two? is it better to get one bigger amp? any help will be greatly apprieciated, critisms is alright too, i can handle it. thanks in advance guys, i'll post pictures of the new box soon

Ok guys I recently put in an 18" fi bl with a Sundown Sae-1200dv2 into a 2009 ford escape. The box is around 7 cubes tuned to 32 hertz. Amp is being ran at 1 ohm. All power and ground wire is being ran in 1/0 Knu. Under the hood i have only upgraded my battery negative to chassis ground power wire to 1/0 ga. Everything is properly installed wiring wise, I'm having a problem with the amp going into protection mode when playing music higher volumes. The bass boost is all the way down on the amp and the gain is set to 1/2 and everything else was set by a buddy of mine more experienced with car audio. Hey guys,I'm purchasing a few things for my 2003 GTI and I was wondering how much of a difference (quality wise) a head unit would be. I was suggested Alpine CDA 9887, but was wondering if it would really improve the sound, or should I just stick with something cheaper, since I am in school and kind of strapped for cash to get a head unit with all that stuff. I am thinking about getting a Sound Stream Xstream 480.2 and 360.2. I know that some of the older Sound Stream amps were really good. But is this like other "ghood back in the day" companies or do they still make strong products?

So recently I had to reset all of my settings in my HU (see sig). I'm now wondering. What is up with all the intense as hell stuff i can set. Idk what any of it does really. main point. This HU is seemingly more SQ oriented that I thought it was. Not a bad thing. It sounds great. But i'm wondering if their are any general tips to make anything else sound better. I need a nice sound quality amp that will get crazy loud and sound good doing it too. i am building a wall in my mountaineer. i was thinking a t8004 or t15004 by rockford. it does not have to be the best damn sound quality but something decent. any suggestions?

Ive been looking at DC alts for my truck and they go from 2005-2009. The 2010 is the same gen and engine as the 2005-2009 im guessing they just left it off the list by accident just wondering if anyone knows for sure if it would work or wouldnt for some reason. thanks in advance.
