Hey guys, i've been getting an anoying screeching coming from my component speakers and a deep rumble coming from my sub when ever the car is running, the noise gets louder as the RPM increases. Also when ever you change songs or turn the deck on/off there is a poping sound. I've had my system in for about 3 months now and this JUST started a few days ago. I didn't have this problem at all until now. I have My RCA's run away from the power wires, I also have both amps grounded to the same location. I tryed grounding the RCA's using some spare speaker wire, this gets rid of about 80% of the noise. My deck is a Kenwood KDC-X991 and my amps are a Sundown SAE-1000D and a Sund…

I have an old Pioneer DEH P930 that is in need of repair. I believe it needs a new ribbon cable, but no matter...my questions center around the deck's features. One of my favorite features of the unit was it's capability to make low bass from recordings where there was none. I never checked the output on an RTA, but I would be willing to bet that the effect is that of an Epicenter, where a bass line is created one octave below the lowest notes in the original recording (if I remember reading that correctly). The owner's manual mentions an "Octaver" function and "Dynamic Bass Emphasis"... does anyone know which of these two features is creating this effect? I called…

Hi. I'm looking into head units and came across a Pioneer MVH-P8200...I noticed in the specs it states 2v output, is this too low? I'm planning on running a sax-125.2 and 1 or 2 sae-1200dv2 (eventually just one more powerful amp). How would this affect power output at the amps and gain settings? Thanks.

I am just completely stumped with this problem. I'll try not to make it long but I want to make sure I explain everything right. I have two amps in my car. A Rockford P500.2 and the SAX-1200D. Both have their own runs of power wire and grounds. The Rockford has 8 gauge going to it, as nothing bigger is necessary, and the 1200D has 4 gauge running to it. Yesterday I completely redid everything at my battery. I had to get new battery terminals, as mine were meant for a top post battery, and rewired the factory ground and such to the new terminals. That went smoothly, car starts without any problems now (had some bad issues). My battery tested good at autozone. I also …

I had a sundown saz 2500d shipped to be and I'm positive it was dropped during shipping and the speaker wire input busted off. I was wondering how i could go about getting that fixed and what the cost would be. or if I can just order a new one. The metal that connects internally is busted off. I'm not positive if its covered under warranty or not. I emailed sundown and haven't heard anything back from the yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any installers have issues with Ford Taurus signal. With my Taurus, the tuner is actually in the trunk and where you change stations is just a control surface I had good reception until I installed a aftermarket head unit and my dash kit came with a 20 foot anntenna extension to reach the trunk and two head units and HD radio later the radio is basically unusable. Hey there. I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition and i have absolutely no bass in my car. I'm leaning towards a downfiring sealed enclosure with two 10" Alpine Type R 1023D. They peak at 1800watts and 600watts RMS. The sealed enclosure provides them with 0.85 cubic feet of air space per sub. What amplifier can really make these subs sound crisp, clean, and provide deep full bass? Hifonics? Kicker? JL audio? Any thoughts on the amp or the set up in general would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've got a '03 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ, with a stock battery and 150amp alt. If I run a SAZ 1500d with my DC 15, will my stock electrical system be able to handle this? Or should I install a second battery in the back? Big 3? Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

Hey guys, I already have a 200amp alternator, Exide Orbital Extreme 34XCD battery, big 3 upgrade, and 2-gauge running about 14-15 feet to the hatch, protected by a 200-amp ANL fuse by the battery, with a 3-farad capacitor in the hatch... My old setup that I am upgrading required about 40-50 amps for items other than the stereo (nitrous system, massive fuel pump, etc) as well as about 90 for the old stereo setup, thus about 130-140 amps at most, so the 2-gauge wiring was just fine with the 3-farad cap thrown in for good measure... Now, I am upgrading the amps and speakers in my setup and am looking at about 1500-1700watts RMS, thus about 160-170 amps for the stereo alone, …

As the title states, I need to get my hands on a decent but not overly expensive amp that can do 1000WRMS @ a 2 ohm load. I have a older Fosgate 1000.1BD which would work real good im sure since it makes its power right at 2 ohms but its a little screwy and im not going to waste my patience on that pos lol. The Audiopipe 15001D caught my eye even thought it makes its power @ 1 ohm its not far off with 950w @ 2 ohms. Anything else out there I should look into? more is always better but the vehicle has a stock electrical system so running this D1 Sub at 0.5 isnt an option at this point lol

Alright, so i own a PG Ti. 500.4 and my speakers will randomly seem to cut in and out. All of a sudden only 1 speaker in my car will be working, and at other times all 4 will work. Now i went back and checked my amp, it seems that the aux inputs are the problem. When i wiggle them around a bit, unplug them and plug them back in they all work. They will work for like a week and then start cutting out again. I actually ended up taking the cover off and looking at the solder points on the amp where the inputs are and they seem to be fine. Should i just like... tape the wires in place so that they dont move? Idk what else to do.

So my amp keeps cutting off the power to my subs. It mainly occurs when I try to get my subs louder. It didn't do this as often a month ago. I think it was after a day of delivering pizza with it bumpin all day, amp got hot and my fuses blew, I believe ever since then it's been acting like a wimp. I'm wondering a few things I have stock electrical system, would the amp protect itself because its supply is inadequate? my subs run 300rms my amp runs 900rms, did I ruin my subs which is causing my amp to protect itself? (that would be awesome, been tryin to swap them out but gotta hurt em first) whatever it is, it keeps randomly protecting itself and when I turn my HU off…
