Hey guys, i'm having a problem with my front comp speakers (PG RSD 6.5) and the amp for them (Sundown SAX-100.2) I just put a new head unit into the car, its a Sony xplod CDX-gt 5. I know, its a garbage head unit but i'm selling the car and didn't want to give away my good unit with it. My problem is that there is almost no sound coming out of the front speakers even though i have the gains flat out maxed on the amp. Help would be greatly appritiated.

guys , what does the CAPACITOR do exactly ?? all i know wit capacitors that its some how like a battery , it get charaged , then it charges off givin high current at an interval , :S or am i wrong , any ways , what does it do ,??? thanks for help

I lost my license for 12months er, speed racer me. Any how i have... IVA-W200... 500/1 jl amp.. wiring... subs (i can uninstall those) my question is this with the deck cant i just take off the dash, take out the fixture and unhook the harness and im done? or what am i missing with the amp and wiring just un hook it from the battery and remove right? I just dont want to damage anything please guide me.

I have always just used my headunit and the PAC LC1 to turn up my bass and it sounds fine but some people say it really does help improve your system's bass . I also heard that you really shouldn't use this product if you listen to bass enhanced music such as decaf/dj slow n throw/etc.. and thats mainly what I listen too. i had a excessive amperage 300amp alt installed and its charging but its not sending the signal the computer saying that its charging so the battery light keeps coming on, but the battery never drops below 14v's, i was told i can only use a pulley from the makers of the alt which is EA, do you know if this is true? i think the guy said i need a 1.5 or 1.75'' pulley for the alt

Hey guys, I already have a 200amp alternator, Exide Orbital Extreme 34XCD battery, big 3 upgrade, and 2-gauge running about 14-15 feet to the hatch, protected by a 200-amp ANL fuse by the battery, with a 3-farad capacitor in the hatch... My old setup that I am upgrading required about 40-50 amps for items other than the stereo (nitrous system, massive fuel pump, etc) as well as about 90 for the old stereo setup, thus about 130-140 amps at most, so the 2-gauge wiring was just fine with the 3-farad cap thrown in for good measure... Now, I am upgrading the amps and speakers in my setup and am looking at about 1500-1700watts RMS, thus about 160-170 amps for the stereo alone, …

Both my amps were working fine “twisted sounds 150.4”, but since one of the rcas outputs broke off I decided to change all to Tiffany style rcas. My issue i’m having now when I try to adjust the fader on HU to front the rear speakers still play but little lower & vise versa & balance is the same issue. Also when I turn on my vehicle it has engine noise through speakers now. The single solder between ch1,2 & 3,4 is + & the duals above them are grounds for 1,2,3,4.

ok i have 2 rd audio 3250.1 strapped @ 2 ohms the slave amp almost always go into protect only the slave turn the ing off startr it back up its fine till i go full tilt again thought it was the rca but done changed them 4 times anyone?

Pioneer GM-D8604 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_63974_Pioneer-GM-D8604.html its $140. class d RMS Power @ 4 ohms 100 watts x 4 channels its around $100 cheaper than the next comparable amplifier that has RMS listed and is a decent name brand? Im aware that its class D so, thats part of why its cheaper. But other than that, im worried its bad for some reason because of how cheap it is?

So I hook up the Alpine to test the Pre-outs today and upon powering it up, the face will not open,or angle at all. I press the buttons and it seems like the mechanism is either stuck or not catching. Anyone have this problem before or know how to remedy it?

I wish I had heard about eclipse before.. got my 8053 deck installed today... not running it balanced yet.. waiting for the summer to do that.. This deck is sweet.. Never heard a deck so clear before.... my subs clip at high volume now but that another storey.... I'll just turn the gain down I've only had about 1 hour in the car listening to it but I'm very impressed and very happy with it..

Hello all, Quick question about wire gauges. I did some research and found Recommended Power and Ground Cable Size so think I should be okay, but wanted to check in with this community first. Currently, I have 1/0 power cable running from the battery to the back of my truck. It hooks into a distro block and from that block I have two 4 gauge wire roughly ~2 feet or less connecting to two amps. One of them is 1000rms mono amp, and the other is a 100.2 amp for my front speakers. If I upgrade the 1000rms amp to 1500rms, will the 4 gauge wire be able to handle the extra power since it is only a very short distance? The ground for the 1000rms amp is also ~2 feet…

im getting 4 cvr 12s i was planing on getting the aq1200 but now my friend suggested getting 2 zx750.1s i was want to see your guys opinions on what to do aq1200 is 249 shipped and 1 750.1 is 230 shipped the only thing i dont like about the zx is the low pass says 50-200hz so will it not hit the low cause if it wont i dont want it

Did a small build in my daily driver and have no dimming of tail/dash lights at normal listening levels. I occasionally listen to it moderately loud when Im in the mood and when the double bass drums hit heavy or the bass guitar digs deep and loud I notice a faint amount of dimming. I just wondered what my next step would be to get rid of it altogether? ok so my alternator went out which in turn screwed up my battery. i got a good used alternator for $20 and its actually better then my last 2 and i dont want to kill it before i can afford batts. but my question is can anyone recommend places i might try for a cheap used battery? i just need something to get me by for a few weeks till i can get a big battery. i've been to pull a part 3 times this week and they havent had any. any help would be awesome thanx
