I would like to compare it against a new PPI class d 4 channel to see if all the time they spent on it produced results or just junk. I can't find squat for user reviews of the vlx4150

So before i scurry up the money to buy a sax125.2, i would like to still be able to play my boustin acoustic pro60se 6.5's. digging through the garage i found one of those old school alpine 3522s. i've been looking through the internet and need some clarification. Its 30 watts at 4 ohms. 2channel. the pro60se are 125 watts a side at 3 ohms. so my question is, would the boustin acoustics sound better off of the 3522s than the stock speakers off of my head unit? another, more serious question. i Read on another forum that since this amp is so old school, it won't match up with my head unit. they said the amp is 1v inputs (true??) and my head unit has 4v outputs. to me, it…

I'll be running a bi-amp setup in the near future. As of right now the amps will be: Memphis MC3004 (75x4 @ 4 ohms) Memphis ST or MC 1000D (600x1 @ 2 ohms) Part 1: I have never done a bi-amp setup and was curious about the power wire. If I run this through a fused distrubution block, do I need an in-line fuse between the positive battery terminal and distribution block, or will the individual fuses in the block suffice? Part 2: I figured up the current draw on both amps based on the sticky in this section. Well im going to be purchasing a 12'' Fi BL im going ported tuned to about 32hz, So i want to feed it about 1000w due to my stock electrical. Dont care if its a 1Ohm amp or 2 Ohm because i havent ordered the sub yet.. I figured id start with the amp so i have more options. Im really trying to stay under 300..250 if possible Hifonics? I was talking to a member here who had a 12 bl hooked up to a POWER ACOUSTIK BAMF-2000/1D, who loved it.. So any help id appriciate it.

Im trying to make the things in this thread My link click, but with pain killers and a little booze (knee surgery) I want to make sure I sort of understand what is being said and how it applies to my situation. I have a newer bmw that has a factory amp for the subs. I tapped into the speaker wires to the subs with a LOC to add an amp and a sub in the trunk. Everything is up and running but there is one problem. The factory adjustments on the stereo system only allow the volume to go so high , to the point that distortion is not really possible. what should my electrical look like to support these and the saz-100.4 ... i am debating on whether i want to buy 2 of these or just get the saz-4500d ... right now i have a 260 amp alt by iraggi and the stock was 130 amp ... i was thinking about buying some of the c and d 100 lb batteries (supposed to be comparable to the hc3800) ... how many would i have to buy to support this amount of power ... i understand i would need a bigger alternator but this is the biggest they make for my car and a dual alt setup is near impossible

Im installing this unit in a 2001 tahoe. Im having trouble with it. I bought an install kit, i think the # is 99-3002. But i think it might need a mounting sleeve for it. Has anyone had any experience installing Premier headunits, im not sure exactly what i need?

I've had a Mag D2 for about a month now. And ever since I've had it, when my hu is at high volumes and the bass is hitting hard, it skips like crazy. I have just a normal $150 JVC hu, it sucks and I'm saving up for a new one. But are there any suggestions to help keep it from skipping? (foam or any padding?)

Im running a rockford fosgate T25001bd wired down to 2 ohms for right now at 2 ohm the birth sheet says 2220 watts i would like to some day drop it down to 1 ohm but that will push 3250 watts and the efficiency goes down by a good amount will i be fine with the stock alt with the xs? i dont have the money at the moment to get a ho alt from dc

Hi im looking to buy two Fi 12" SSD's and want to hook them up to only one amp, is it possible to wire them at 1 OHM?

1. I ordered the Us amps merlin md1, and it says on their site it has 4 gauge awg terminals, but i also ordered the 1/0 gauge from knu, so my question is will it still fit/work? I have a 1992 buick century custom with a 3.3l v6 and it has a delco stock alternator, and it already has the Big 3 installed and my lights dim really badly now that I hooked up the xcon today, my last sub was 1000rms now im doing 1600rms on the amp, and my cars electrical hates it. I can here the bass distort whenever the voltage needle dips. So I was looking for a cheap upgrade since this is only gonna be my car for less than a year. I found a rebuild kit to upgrade a delco cs130 alternator to 180 amps, which the cs130 is what replaces this alternator if i go to autozone, but i'm not sure if thats whats in it now. hey guys... I have 2 1000.4 's going to my front doors . they have been sounding great, nice and clear and no distortion. I have been having some ground problems lately and had to drill a new ground. After that they were back to sounding clear and crisp. Now about a week later all the static and distortion came back to the point were I almost cnt even hear the music. I checked the ground and the ground is good. i checked the rca'a and there fine. ( I do have a few splits on my rca's and those were fine as well). Ok so here is my delemma. I just installed a crunch gp3000pro (new) and 12" btl (new), however the amp has no output. It powers on but that is all. I tried switching amps, no change. I tried a different sub and nothing. I changed rca cables and once again nothing. The head unit is a pioneer 980BT. The head unit is new also, but could this be the cause of my problem, or maybe wiring? I have a four channel hooked up as well and it works fine. The sub is d2 wired in parallel to 1 ohm which i checked as well. I am running out of ideas on what to troubleshoot so any ideas are greatly appreciated.

this is an old blown amp i had just sitting around. i took the case off to see whats up with it. i dont really give a crap about it. brand and model is SPL FX2-2200. i think i wired my sub to .5 on it when i just started in car audio. wondering what the burnt mark is. i kinda wana try and fix it just for fun or just rip it apart just for fun any input?

I can use my Deck (Kenwood KDC-MP338) manually and using the remote to change settings and stuff, but ever since i installed my amp (Mark Antony GS1000D) i can't use the remote because the remote makes it go into protect mode( it clicks). I can use all the controls manually but can't use any buttons on the remote (doesn't change anything on the deck). Any idea whats wrong?
