To my friend for 270.. he said he will take it off my hands... i don't really know if i should it . i have to take it all out again... and then go back to my 250.2rf.... and then wait another week if i get another aq1200d for 250... or maybe i can get a custom box from audible customs.....I currently have a prefab:( so what should i do???

How do ohms have an impact on the electrical system.? I know that if the woofer is wired to a lower ohm rating then there is less resistance. Does this mean that a 600 watt amp at 2 ohms is the same electrical strain as 1200 watt at 1 ohm? And. I have heard that a higher ohm rating results in "tighter" bass. I believe it is a myth but I want to ask the input of the users on this forum.

I have 2-12w6v2d4's and i just bought a saz-1500d. My question is will this amp blow my subs and also is there anyone on this board who has ran this setup? I'm thinking if i keep the bass on the amp down it will be ok am i wrong? Thanks in advanced for the help.

I'm currently running 2 dual 2ohm sa-12's and plan on upgrading my amp (currently a crunch 1500 lol, it's getting the job done for now) to 2 saz-1500d's. Right now I'm just saving up money for the amps and working on my electrical. I currently added a lead straight from the alternator to the battery. Replaced the lead from the battery to the chassis and sanded it to bare metal. Added a lead from the block to the the battery. And finally today I added a lead from the block to the chassis (using the same spots as the other grounds). Is upgrading this wire even necessary? After I put that on I had a reading of 14.1X. Well, I have all the speakers that are going in my truck, however, I lack the power to get them up and running. I came across a thread over on CA.com that linked me to a memphis amp called the "mch1300". I don't know much about memphis products, but that's beside the point. My question is this, instead of having to buy a lot of amps will this power the following: 2 image dnymaic cx62's @ 2ohm so they should get 115 watts, 2 koda 8's they are 4ohm so they should get 75 watts, and a eclipse ti, it's DVC 4ohm so it should recieve 600 watts. Is this correct? That would mean I would just need to get an amp for my horns and I'd be set. Also the kodas, really won't be get…

Sup everyone, had a few questions. So I just got the new Sundown SAX 100.4D. Its got some EQ buttons that I question because I dont know them. Under the High Pass Filter there is a button is either 12db or if pressed 24db. Also beside that one is a x1 or x10? The last is a knob that ranges from 50Hz -500Hz. Can anyone tell me the advantage of any of them? I played with those settings a little last night when I installed the amp.. I just need someone to give me a good starting point and a better understanding on how to set them. Examples would be greatly appreciated. Looking for some help with what to put my settings at, I understand most of them, but not all of them. Was hoping you could give your educated opinions on what to set my equipment to. Guess what new toy is replacing my Eclipse 8443...................................................... an Eclipse 8454!!! And it only cost me 214$ after tax!!!!! Its was such a steal. From the dealer and everything! I took advantage of a chain getting rid of Eclipse and asked if they had any more HU's available. He was like yeah I got a 8454 that is open box used in a window display(not an actual one where people touched it) and was like i can sell it for 200$. I was like, here's my card!

Alright.. just recently bought and installed a set of the zapco i-6 component's. .. running them off a MBQuart 4125..Let me get to the problem im having.. my Volume knob can go up to 60 i believe... when i crank up the volume to say 47 my high's (the zapco components) sound as if someone put a pillow over them.. then as i turn the volume down to around 30ish it clears back up.. I at first thought maybe something internally came loose in the amp since its mounted to the box with my 18" BTL in it.. so I cut the subs out of the equation completely.. still does it at around the same volumes.. This was a problem i was having with my old 6.5" Eclipse door speakers i had before …

So I was removing one of my RCA cables from my SAX-1200D and the input pulled out of the amp. It was still connected to the wire but it would not screw back in to the amp. While attempting to screw the input back in to the amp the solder joint broke off the input and now I am stuck without an input. Basically I'm wondering if it's okay to run the RCA's from the bridged input and output if the amp is not bridged. I have tried running it from the bridged inputs and it works fine, but I don't know if it's healthy for my equipment. Any help is appreciated.

Just got this fold down face HU today for a tank of gas and 5 bucks. It needs the code for it and my local Kenwood shop wants 85 bones to send it to them for the code. Can someone help me??? I could use a code or someone who can help me here. J

Should i get this HU? LINK is it decent, and is it better than a panasonic cq-rx100u which is my current HU?

I have a 1992 buick century custom with a 3.3l v6 and it has a delco stock alternator, and it already has the Big 3 installed and my lights dim really badly now that I hooked up the xcon today, my last sub was 1000rms now im doing 1600rms on the amp, and my cars electrical hates it. I can here the bass distort whenever the voltage needle dips. So I was looking for a cheap upgrade since this is only gonna be my car for less than a year. Right now my setup is(see sig) and I have BAD voltage problems. I believe my problem is that I have a 2ga wire from the front battery to the back(came with the car,to lazy to change it) where I branched 3 runs of 4ga wire off it to my 3 amps. Now I was wondering if I ran 1 or 2 runs of 1/0ga from the front to the back would that cure my problem?

What and or Who makes the power wire that has the fabric jacket on it? I am really curious because it looks really nice and clean and id really like to have some of it!

im planning a large build right now and was thinking if my alternator only puts out 250 or so amps and my wire is rated at 300amps is multiple runs really needed? my plan is one DC or equal 270 amp alt( doubt i can find a dual alt for this car). 2 runs + and two runs - from the starting battery to my battery bank of 9 batteries running approx 10k watts.

hi, i just finished installing the sax 200.4, everything was going well, i was just tuning up some of my bass levels and stuff when suddenly my front speakers just died and the subs kept playing. it wasn't loud enough to warrant any kind of speaker failure and the amp wasn't going into protect at all. my setup is two 4 ohm subs wired to 2 ohms running off channels 3 and 4 bridged and 2 pairs of components wired to 2 ohms each pair running off channels 1 and 2. my gains weren't cranked up at all, it was all sounding healthy, and then the front 2 channels just died. i turned it off and let it sit for a while, disconnected the battery, checked my wiring, nothing helped. does…
