  2. I'm at home, sick as a dog, feeling too shitty to really do anything or go anywhere, so I'm drawing out plans fot my next system. my question is, with a 370a Alt, XS d3400 up front and a D7500 in the rear, what is the maximum amount of power you could comfortably run, RMS. I ask, because I'd like to keep it as simple as possible, but still have flexibility after should I upgrade from my current equipment. Thank you for humoring me in my moment of boredom lol

I'm in the process if replacing a factory head unit in a guys 2006 Dodge Charger. I wen't to the local dealer to get a wiring harness because it was the only place around that carries the model that I needed. When I asked for it, he told me that the part I needed was $140 however, he would sell me a standard harness that would work for 25, but I would have to run a remote wire to the fuse panel under the hood. He said that the ignition wire would be useless and I would have to do something along the lines of wiring the remote, ignition (red) on the HU, and the remote from the fuse panel all together to get it to work. This had me puzzled, but I tried it anyway.. with n…

I was looking around for an amp to run my single 12 inch Crossfire BMF. I was looking for an amp that would put out around 500 watts at 2 ohms. I found the Kenwood kac-9103d for only $200 and its rated to put out 900 watts at 2ohms and its 1 ohm stable. Its CEA rated so I assume it puts out the power suggested. Has anyone ever ran one, or better yet tested one? Almost 1000 watts for only $200 from a well known car audio company just seems to good to be true. I have never personally ran Kenwood amps before, but at that price I am willing to give it a shot. All opinions are welcome. Peace, Lee

I sold my amp (thanks, ulrisa) so I'm in the market for a new one to power my 10" Dcon. For my budget I've narrowed it down to these two: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/compare_items.php?sort_order=%2Fviewcat.php%3Ff_72%3D14%26manufacturer_id%3D63%26category_id%3D26%26sort_order%3Dbest_match&product_id%5B%5D=23185&product_id%5B%5D=23872&button=Compare Does anyone here have any experience with Soundstream amps? I don't have any experience with their products, except for the SPL 12's about 10 years ago (they belonged to a friend). I obviously don't know much about the technical stuff, so is the $70+ dollar difference between these two worth it (other than the…

Is there a way to run a h/o alt for just the stereo and its batteries AND keep the stock for truck functions only? Looking at 200 amp alt for the system and it seems no one has any idea if this will work. I can make the bracket and pully, I've got a lathe and CNC here so no problem there, but I would like to solve this issue and how much I have to chit out to make it work. Should I just bolt up a couple of big junkyard GM's and call it a day? Any ideas??

So when trying to calculate your voltage, do you use ur ideal ohm load or the actual ohm load measured with a dmm? also say your amp does 1500 watts @ 1ohm, will it still be putting out that much or close to after impedance rises (say to 1.4ohm)?

Serious issue going on with my system, and I know it's gotta be my electrical..... just need some advice on where to go. I've only had my system in since April, and I've noticed at times that my front stage will suddenly begin losing treble, then volume. I turn it down and it recovers pretty quickly, within a minute..... but will do it again if turned back up. I have not upgraded the electric at all.... was hoping I wouldn't need to being that I'm not pushing a lot of wattage. Amp is a Kenwwod7005PS 5 channel..... manual says it pulls 56 amps. I'm guessing my Scion xB 80 amp alt just isn't enough...... but would doing a big 3 help this??? (I have some 4 ga left over from …

I bought a Sundown 100.4 refurb from DB-r a while back while it was on sale. When i got around to installing it, it was blowing fuses on the distro as soon as you hooked it up. So I sent it out to DB-r Tuesday before thanksgiving and I recieved the amp back TODAY (1 week and 1 day later). I am completely amazed with it being the week of Thanksgiving I received the amp back so quickly. That includes shipping time BOTH ways. The whole time it was out DB-r kept me updated with emails. I just wanted to give credit to DB-r for the excellent work they did. :bigclap:

  20. I just got my 2500 and am wondering if my planned battery expansion will be enough to really get this amp going. This is my 1st experience with sundown product so I would like to know what other owners have done. As far as electrical goes I've got a 220 amp alt., big three, and an hc2400 along with a standard battery. I'm looking to change batteries to 2 xs3400's piggybacked with a xs680 with each one. Two runs of 0 awg. Will be running a yellow top upfront. That maxes out the space I've got to use. Will this be enough to power the amp up to be able to get enough power to compete? Is there a better configuration I could run? All advice appreciated! Thanks

  23. Hi Im trying to replace my factory battery with an XS Power one. The one and only battery (according to the XS website) I can upgrade to is the D4800. However, I contacted them to verify this and they told me it would be recommended to make some measurements just to verify this. I went ahead and made some approximate measurements (since I did not want to deal with removing all this wires at 11pm) The measurements I got were the following: Height: ~8" Length: ~12" Width: ~71/2 These seem to match the dimensions from the D4800. However, as you can see in the following picture, right next to the bolt there seems to be another hole (RED arrow), it appears to be…

It's an Atomic 3000.1 2 FI BLs @2ohms 1200 XS power battery in the rear 2 runs of 0 gauge wiring stock alternator/front battery Has been playing fine the past week or so, but as of yesterday, any time the volume gets turned up around halfway, nothing ridiculously maxed out, the subs make a funny noise and the amp goes into protection mode. I've already checked that the ground is good, no loose wires or anything touching metal, the usual routine checks.. Not sure if it is getting starved for power or what's wrong at all. I'm not 100% audio savey but I know bits and pieces here and there. The amp is an older model that was damaged when I bought it, but I sent it back to…
