So I am off on my way to school when all of a sudden my car decides to play games with me...Ok so I let it go but then it kept doing it and over and over till it got a little serious. It started to reset the head unit by turning it off and then back on. My engine check light was blinking repeatedly. My ABS lights came on. And my power steering gave out but some how managed to come back. I called my brother up and he told me that I should clean all the ends of the wires and clean the terminals of the battery up front. do you think that a kicker kx600.4 amp will work for a pair of 12 cvrs. do you think it will sound good. thx

does anybody know what size kinetik or powermaster will fit under hood of expedition? I am going to run either powermaster 3100 or couple kinetik 2000s in back, but expedition has side post in front, and not much clearance for hood.

Ok I bought a 2nd battery for my car and wanted to know if it would be ok if i ran 0 guage from front bat positive to rear bat positive. and just ground the second battery in the trunk. I'm also doing the big three.

so my friend is wanting to get a batcap becuase he heard it will help out his electrical ALOT. what do yall think about it? ever had one, used one.. etc

I'm look at this amp to buy and I'm a bit skeptical because it's pretty cheap (relatively). I have done a search on here and seen some opinions but there are few and contradicting and most are from the beginning of the year so I'm hoping for some other opinions from people who have had one for a while. I'd be planning to push 2 12" Qs. Also perhaps some other recommendations of amps capable of doing 2kw at 1 ohm.

Atomic AT 1600.1D vs Sundown SAZ 1500D. In terms of quality, components used, heatsink which amp is better? I know they are both Zenon boards so the circuity looks identical but overall which has a heavier heatsink and is better? Thanks

I am looking for a replacement of my eclipse double din. I think I was getting some dc back feeding through my preouts and now they are dead. The unit is old enough not to have it fixed. So like the topic says I am having a tuff time picking out a Double din Hu. I would like three sets of outputs navigation is not a must and a nice looking screen I would like something of good quality that is my main concern. Mainstream is not a requierment, nice quality and a good value are. thanks for the help Matt

hello everyone, I recently change all my system and after the installation i get a lot of engine noise and alternator noise. the install was like follows: Alternator: a 250 amp Ford alternator modified to use a voltage regulator, so it generates from 10.5 to 18 volts. Power wire: upgrade to 0 gauge from alternator to main battery, to second battery, to capacitor, to distribution block. The pioneer 880PRS / P80RS has an internal amplifier that can be be turned on and off as required. 1. Can the unit be used in network mode and still use the internal amplifier to output to the front and rear channels? 2. if the channels are still powered in network mode, do they have filtering on them? and can front/rear balance still be controlled from the headunit? i want to meter my car but everyone i hear about with a meter shits out on me when its time to meet up.... so i wanna buy an epic 160 to meter only... nothing else... has anyone used these? how accurate are they to a term lab? can i use this meter to learn my sweet spot ?

Having a sparatic issues with my remote voltage. Out of nowhere, I am having an issue with the amps/xm unit shutting off randomly. Turn the H/U off and it works again. Took out the DMM and found that Idle voltage is 12.4 and dips around 11.4 when the music is playing. Drove around for a few min and it did its thing again at which the voltage was around 5.5 and not sufficient to turn my amps on. I am running two amps, xm unit and SMALL low rpm fan on the remote circuit and have not had a problem for quite awhile...( I don't believe it is related to having too much stuff on the 12V remote) However....My H/U is over 3-4 years old Alpine 9827 Thinking it has gone through its …

i can get the clarion for about 200 and the pioneer for about 300. is it worth goin for the pioneer? its my first active set up. i could afford some better speakers if i get the clarion... and i really like the look on the clarion for some reason... idk why...

hey guys, I'm plannig on running 1 Sundown Audio 3000 to either a 1 15" OR 1 18" FI BTL. What do I need to power this bad boy?? hah. I already did the research and I can get my hands on a 250amp h/o alt. Now the bad part is that im running this in A VW Golf so the space is minimal and going to be very tight for this build. I dont plan on doing competitions, its more for a daily car. Any idea what I need? I'm definately swapping out my primary battery (stock)...anything else? Cheers, Andrew

Just wondering some of your thoughts on the Powerbass series of amplifiers. Good quality? Underrated, Overrated? I am thinking of this being it is cheaper.... or Sundown 1500d. It is about cost, but reliability It will be put on a Fi BL 15" in a 4.0cuft box tuned to 32hz. Powerbass 1500d.

Ok, i have a pioneer avic N3 but the rca's are bad on the unit. how do i replace them or repair them. i have used a line output converter but i really dont like to use them. any help would be great. THANKS!!!!!!! Eddie G

Ok so here is my delemma. I just installed a crunch gp3000pro (new) and 12" btl (new), however the amp has no output. It powers on but that is all. I tried switching amps, no change. I tried a different sub and nothing. I changed rca cables and once again nothing. The head unit is a pioneer 980BT. The head unit is new also, but could this be the cause of my problem, or maybe wiring? I have a four channel hooked up as well and it works fine. The sub is d2 wired in parallel to 1 ohm which i checked as well. I am running out of ideas on what to troubleshoot so any ideas are greatly appreciated.

i just intall my some what done system and its sounds ok no rattle at all, you guys might say wow great but there is a problem i cant crank it up i get a major voltage drop i did the big 3 already.
