ok looking 2 a good 2k amp narrowed it down to pca200d,us md-3d or will have to just settle for a kicker1500.1 and be short some watts. whats ppls opinion first hand on these amps thanks

Could I run a single yellow top as a starting battery and run a ~1500w system off of it?

Well I discovered today that my amp power input is loose and the plastic is melted...I attempted to unplug everything and plug it back up and my amp wouldn't come on..Could it still work or am I doing something wrong??

Atomic AT 1600.1D vs Sundown SAZ 1500D. In terms of quality, components used, heatsink which amp is better? I know they are both Zenon boards so the circuity looks identical but overall which has a heavier heatsink and is better? Thanks

I drive a 2006 Chevy Malibu LT and was wanting to install an after market in dash DVD unit. The problem am having is finding the correct interface. I do have the on star option but it isnt currently in use nor will it be if this helps. There are may different interface out there and am just needing some help finding the correct one for my vehicle. I am planning on installing the Pioneer AVH-2500BT unit. Any help would be greatly appricated. Thanks

hey guys... I have 2 1000.4 's going to my front doors . they have been sounding great, nice and clear and no distortion. I have been having some ground problems lately and had to drill a new ground. After that they were back to sounding clear and crisp. Now about a week later all the static and distortion came back to the point were I almost cnt even hear the music. I checked the ground and the ground is good. i checked the rca'a and there fine. ( I do have a few splits on my rca's and those were fine as well). at the moment i have a hifonics brutus bxi-1210D. I recently saw on the ssa store front page the saz-1000D and also heard the sundown amps are rated at 12v which is awesome for me because I still have not upgraded my electrical, i will be just havent yet. My question is, will it be worth it to sell my amp for another that does around the same power? Isnt the sundown just a better all around amp? I just think its a little flashy and funny lookin haha.. Good amp dont get me wrong but I want an amp with 0gauge inputs kinda. been a lurker here for a while, but I finally got around to ordering up a ICON 10 and hooked it up to my existing kicker 1000.1 amp. Never had a problem with my amp on my 12 jlw6v2. got it all installed and set the gains pretty low. played some music and slowly turned the gains up till it sounded pretty good which wasnt even half way up on the gains. Now after playing music for a few minutes the sub is playing... The sub cuts out, but the amp isnt showing me its in protect mode. So i turn the gains back down and its still doing it. now after playin with it for a couple weeks I just left the gains down and kept using it. But i've noticed that when I first get in the truck…

hello guys, just wanted to ask if there is a benefit of changing from a 701 to a bitone? would we get a significant gain in SQ for doing such? assuming that all we need is letsay on the 701 already... thanks.

So when trying to calculate your voltage, do you use ur ideal ohm load or the actual ohm load measured with a dmm? also say your amp does 1500 watts @ 1ohm, will it still be putting out that much or close to after impedance rises (say to 1.4ohm)?

now i have been running mono amps for a while, and some have 1 speaker output and some have 2.... why??? like my T10001BD had 2, but my swiss audio SDX2000D had one... i dont understand ????

I'd really like to learn (not ask here whenever i have a question) how the amp draws current, and where it draws from (how the alternator comes in to play and such). A buddy was asking me if he should get 2 bls, and i told him his electrical couldn't handle it if he were to power them as much as he wanted to. I'm pretty confident what i told him was right, but i'd really like to know more, it just bugs me to tell him that and not know why myself lol. Anyone know of a good link or two so i can learn about this?

Alright.. just recently bought and installed a set of the zapco i-6 component's. .. running them off a MBQuart 4125..Let me get to the problem im having.. my Volume knob can go up to 60 i believe... when i crank up the volume to say 47 my high's (the zapco components) sound as if someone put a pillow over them.. then as i turn the volume down to around 30ish it clears back up.. I at first thought maybe something internally came loose in the amp since its mounted to the box with my 18" BTL in it.. so I cut the subs out of the equation completely.. still does it at around the same volumes.. This was a problem i was having with my old 6.5" Eclipse door speakers i had before …

I am planning on buying the hifonics brutus brz1700.1d for around 200 bucks. I will be only using it at 4 ohms for the time being untill i recone my subwoofer to single 2 ohm then ill run it at around 900rms. And if i ever end up going to a comp ill turn it up more. But what other amps should i be considering in that price range and power range? Btw i have stock alt in a 06 tundra and stock battery 4 awg wires... Will this be enough to power this amp? I can probably get 1/0 or 2 awg if i need to but as you can tell im not rolling in money.. Any comments, criticism, jokes... Its all welcome

I was wondering if I should get an outside crossover and eq or combination of them for my truck, I am using the active crossover on my H/U clarion dxz-785usb, it has Digital time alignment on it and 18 db slope 3 way crossover in the deck. I am running my front channel to my tweets @ 3500 hz then running my dual 5.25 in the door of the rear channel ran @ 90hz and up then sub channel @ 90hz and below Would I improve my SQ buy adding and eq/crossover to the mix or is the head unit alone good enough. It sounds good now, just wish I had a little more control over the freq.

Does Audioque e-mail you or send you any tracking info when you order from them, because I bought my 2200d the same day I bought my wiring kit and the kit is sitting next to me. I have gotten nothing from Audioque at all. I'm calling them tomorrow, but before I do I just want to know what their policy is.

I'm about at the point where I need some electrical upgrades, my car is an 04 Mustang, electrical is stock no big 3, has a Optima Yellowtop My amps Bass amp has 160 amps worth of Fuses, Treble amp has 60 amps worth of fuses. If i play songs with real long bass notes my treble cuts out, maybe its just my sh!!TY wal- mart sony amp, i have a brand new soundstream amp that I'm going to have put in here shortly. Anyway can I put a 2nd battery on the stock alt. or should i go with a 160 amp alt or a 200 amp alt or what?
