First up i bought a decent power acoustic equalizer off amazon and hooked it up but it doesnt work when i turn the head unit from aux back to radio, it has cd/aux rca, sub rca, and front/rear rca's so i have it hooked from my head unit to the amp and back to the equalizer is this right? Second question probably is a stupid one but i bought the nice crescendo 6.5" component set and it came with crossovers, are these needed if i have a equalizer? if so is there a diagram on how to wire the crossovers to the mids and tweeters? thanks in advance

so i feel that i am now at the point of buying an EQ. my questions are: i have tweeters, mids, bass, and i might have a set of mid bass coming up. should i buy a 3 way EQ or a 4 way? how many channels is enough? id think i want at least 30 channels to eq from no? the more the better? what is the difference between a 1/3, 1/2, and 1 octave response? how can i tell if my deck is clipping the RCA signal or if a processor is clipping? to be clear i am not looking for some worthless 40hz or max volume one time measurement but i want a way to tell at a glance if i am clipping with a wide range of songs and volume configurations. i currently have a KX3 xover, would the …

anyone have experience with these? I was thinking about getting a 400.2 or 500.2 to power to power my front stage(once i can decide on a set) because they look like they have a lot of features for the money. Anyone know anything about these amps?

ok well in the mini cooper, the back windows are tinted with 5%, plus will be covered completely anyways, so NO sun at ALL will be coming in the back hatch area where the amps are. they are those MTX TA amps, they have that "xtant" cooling thing or whatever, where it sucks air in the front, and it blows out the sides or something like that. well, since its gonna be walled off, no a/c will be in the rear...i basically wanna throw a few fans in the back that come on with the headunit just to have airflow back there....and i dont mean a couple little PC fans...any ideas? something that wont draw hardly any amperage either.

I have a 1999 Dodge durango with the infiniti speaker system. I just put kicker components in the doors. I'm wanting to install a four channel up in the next day or so. My question is should i remove the infiniti amp up in the kick panel or just leave it? Thanks Guys!

I drive a 2006 Chevy Malibu LT and was wanting to install an after market in dash DVD unit. The problem am having is finding the correct interface. I do have the on star option but it isnt currently in use nor will it be if this helps. There are may different interface out there and am just needing some help finding the correct one for my vehicle. I am planning on installing the Pioneer AVH-2500BT unit. To push 4 1508's? I can run 2 1508's @ 2ohms to each 1211a (1200w), or I can run all 4 @ 1ohm to the AQ2200 (?). As for my electrical, I have 2 redtops, 200amp alt, big 3, & 0awg. What's going to be the all around better setup?

My son bought this amp and we know nothing about it. It is metallic purple and says US AMPS made in Florida on the top and the end says High Definition Reference Amplifier.

This may be a stupid question, but i want to be sure before i go and buy this. I want to run this amp(kicker zx200.4) for only one component set. I could just bridge it so it does 100 watts x2 at 4 ohms, right? or is bridging a 4 channel to a two channel not a good idea? thanks

So I got one of these off ebay and unlike the stinger one it only has 2 wires. And if I was to hook it up straight to power it would be on all the time. Was thinking of either running it off the ignition wire that triggers the head unit to turn on or running it off a switch so I could turn it off. Or do you guys think another way would be better.

So before i scurry up the money to buy a sax125.2, i would like to still be able to play my boustin acoustic pro60se 6.5's. digging through the garage i found one of those old school alpine 3522s. i've been looking through the internet and need some clarification. i have a kenwood KDC-MP245 in my 1997 honda accord with no subs hooked up just my alpine sps-600 speakers in the doors and when i turn it up and the bass hits the head unit will start dimming but not the head lights. does anyone know why this is happening?
