I need to find the right amplifier for the job and there are a few selections I'm not familiar with. I am planning on useing 2 Diamond audio D1 10' 200rms in a sealed downfiring box to go under the seat of an '02 GMC Sierra extended cab. My choices so far are RE XT 800.2----not to familiar with these amps Diamond Audio D400.1----these either, but I have heard them on the same set up in the same truck sounded great,(also most expensive of the amps) Hifonics BXi1201----had this one before, it was awesome, but it was for SPL, I want to lean a little more towards, SQ this time. Any other suggestions would be helpful, I am trying to stay around $300, and I need at least 400 …

Atomic AT 1600.1D vs Sundown SAZ 1500D. In terms of quality, components used, heatsink which amp is better? I know they are both Zenon boards so the circuity looks identical but overall which has a heavier heatsink and is better? Thanks

I have a factory system in my new Explorer and do not want to go through installing my cd player right now. I want to keep it all stock except unhook the 8"sub in the back, run the signal to my amp and have my two 15s back there. How would I do this?? Could I simply hook a LOC to the wires that went to the 8"?? Or would the power that is run through that be too much for an LOC, or does it even matter? Quick Quick with the help if you can please, going to try and get this done by tomorrow. Thanks much.

Since a week or two, my Pioneer head unit has some problems. Sometimes the "face" doesn't respond, as if there is no power to it. It can happen with the music playing or with the h u off. If I unplug and the plug in the car fuse for the h u, eveything starts working again. If I press the reset button on the h u it starts working again, but I loose some settings. Do you know (or understand) what is happening ? Can it be a simple fix, or will I need to buy another h u ? Please help !!!

I'm going to hook up the rubicon 702 to an FI SSD12 with copper coils in a sealed enclosure 1.6 cubic feet. This amp has 700RMS watts. Now what should I set the low pass crossover frequency to? Should I set the subsonic filter? If so to what frequency and should I also set the boost?

ok, me and another person on RoE are having an argument on using a y cable on rca. he thinks that using a y cable is not going to do anything to the signal or anything and it is going to be the same as if there where no y cable. while i think and have found on other places online that say that using a y cable can weaken the signal and basic under standing of electricity does back that up. and that is while the voltage is the same when spliting but the current that is carrying the signal is cut in half. so who is correct? and i would post a link to the discussion but RoE has the forum set up so you can't.

Newb here. Im thinking of getting a rear battery in my tahoe. I've done the big 3 in 1/0.Some people tell me to run the positive wire from front batt. Others say run it from from my alt to rear batt. For grounding some say go from negative on front batt to negative on rear batt. Some say ground to the chassis. Some say get an isolator and relay. What am I really suppose to do and do I really need an isolater and relay. What do they do

I have found these locally for one hell of a deal. I have read mixed reviews on them and was wondering if you would buy them to use. They are brand new and can get them for around 100 a piece. Here is the link to them http://www.cdstandbypower.com/application/...ups/upshrm.html. The ones the guy has are spec'd as follows: sealed agm 95ah at 20hr rate, 350watt at 15min. Now I know these are'nt powermasters, but the slide easily into budget and actually let me buy more fuse holders and wire if they'll work. thanks.

I drive a small car with a 70amp alt and a regular battery up front and with a kicker zx750 and a old sony 50x4 my lights dimmed. I currently am running like 100x2 for my subs so its not dimming but I am looking at 1200-1500rms for bl 15 most likely. I am wondering if putting a kinetik in the trunk is enough or if my alt won't even be able to keep up.

I would also like it to be a min of 7 bands

Did a small build in my daily driver and have no dimming of tail/dash lights at normal listening levels. I occasionally listen to it moderately loud when Im in the mood and when the double bass drums hit heavy or the bass guitar digs deep and loud I notice a faint amount of dimming. I just wondered what my next step would be to get rid of it altogether? 20. I have a 220A H/o alt for a 01 lincoln LS and I am current running just a stock battery. If I get two other batteries, even though Ive not got my amp yet, and install the alt in my car would there be any damage? Or if I hooked it up now to a stock battery would there be any damage? and second question, I flubbed up and read the ebay post wrong and ordered 2 S3400 from XS power, I wanted D3400s, whats the difference and would I regret using the S over the D series?

  22. Is there any way to wire my iPod to my factory deck? It doesn't have an aux input, and I don't want to run it off a radio frequency due to shitty SQ. I plan on running an MTX re-q sound processor to run my subwoofer/amp, but otherwise I will have a stock 2003 Toyota Camry system. *Edit* Just read up on the MTX re-Q5, looks like it has an aux input...would this work for me? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_10834_MTX+Audio+reQ-5+-re-Q+%3Csup%3E5%3C-sup%3E-.html Any ideas would be appreciated, i'm stumped here Thanks!
