Does anyone know of a standalone subsonic filter you can buy? My friend bought a Kicker ZX700.5 and it doesn't have one... But he doesn't need a full audio processor or crossover, just the subsonic filter. I'm looking for something that preferably hooks into the RCA's, but if there are any other options please let me know. Thanks for the help

  3. I'm seein if i can save money but if i cant oh well.... This is for 2 AQ2200ds(200A per) and a sundown 100.4(90A rated about 65A used) Here are choices - Kinetik (i might go with powermaster but prices are bout the same so this is just the sake of kinetik) setup 1- 1 HC2400 (128aH) 2 HC800s (72aH total) Price - $632 setup 2- 3 HC1400s (180aH total) Price - $695 setup 3- 1 HC2400 (128aH) 2 HC1400s (120aH total) Price - $799 Kinetik has told me that their HC800 will give more impact than their batts above that model number meaning quicker discharge, like a cap. A while back, i emailed them requesting their suggestion for a 3,000w setup but obviously i've gone bigger, heh…

Lately ive been thinking of different installs to get myself into considering i recently landed a decent job. Basically not sure how to hook up multiple amplifiers beyond the 2/3 pre amp outs on the HU. I understand most amps these days are linkable and that I understand.. but what if i want to go farther than that? Where does the signal come from? For example.. say i want to add a shit load of speakers to my door's which would need multiple amps.. how do i go about getting the signal to each amp beyond the front/rear outputs on the H.U? Or say i want to add a shitload of subs to the back which will require more than a couple amps.. arent linkable amps limited to (2) toge…

Ok, so i fire up my car to leave my friends and hear a pop then smell burning.... Smoke is billowing from my remote wire and it seems it had gotten loose from my amplifier and touched ground while still inside the remote section of the amp. This is visually the only thing i think could have happened. Amp light turns on amp doesnt work, opened up the case and notice a few burnt fets and some bars... Ile get pics later but if theirs char marks on the board do you think this is still fixable and how costly would the repair be? I have horrible luck and just want to push this whole car off a cliff at some point... BAH!!

I have a cheap 300w amp that I plan to run to my doors and 6x9's in rear deck. I already have a run of 1/0 to my 1000w mephis amp. I was wondering if it is a good idea to run a short run of about 12-16g wire from the power inputs on the mephis where the 1/0 is, and from there to the power inputs on the 300w to keep from having to put in another run of power cable from battery to the trunk. I tried this already just to power the amp and it worked, but I didn't have any speakers wired to it. Would this be logical, or would it mess something up?

Do I fit the power and negative cables in and take my voltage meter to the speaker out lets? I cant remember I want to test it with the stock alt wire and ground and see if I can get more power from doing the Big 3. Im sure you will suggest to use it but I want to know how much a difference it made on my truck and post up the results. Mine is a 2500hd duramax so I know I have a higher amp Alt. 16. I would like to know if I should wire the subs using just one pair of outputs from amp or to use both pairs? I know how to wire from one pair (http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=12#results) ,but I'm unsure how to split the speaker wire (10gauge monster brand speaker wire) according to the diagram. I need a total 1ohm load. Any help is much appreciated. I have: 2007 Toyota Camry LE (all stock electrical w/o upgraded 8-speaker JBL) Two Fi Q 12" (dual 1 ohm) (cooling) (extra spider) in sealed box One AQ 2200D (mono amp) (has two pairs of terminals (4 total outputs))

I am looking for the screws that some amplifiers use to screw down wires into the amp channels and power/ground/remote etc. You have to use an allen wrench to tighten/loosen them. I do not know what they are called or where I can get them. I need some because I have 4 missing from my amp. 2 for a channel on the amp and 1 for the power and 1 for the ground. Im sure I can get them somewhere local but I'd like to order in bulk off the internet. So if you know the name of them I would appreciate it if you would share your ungodly wisdom upon me. Thanks in advance ~MadroX

  20. Okay, so I want to upgrade my underhood battery, obviously. I was thinking about snagging up a smaller, cheaperish XS power batt for now, but I've heard that you need to run the exact battery you have up front, in the back. It had to do something with the batteries charging wrong or something, I don't know, ha. My real question is, could I pick up a smaller high quality batter for up front, and pick up a larger one for the back and be safe?

Ok. Ever since I can remember I have had a small problem with dimming headlights. However, I never really noticed because I don't blast my system full tilt very often and hardly ever at night. For some reason my lights seem to be dimming a lot lately. I currently have a 200amp alternator with 3 deka intimadator batteries. This powers my saz3000d at 1ohm. I thought that I might have a loose connection or my alternator was failing. I started testing voltage and this is where I'm confused. With the bass at nearly full tilt with the lights dimming bad my voltage stays at a steady 13.98 volts. With nothing on it's charges at 14.2. So, my question is how or why is my lights dim…

I just got a saz 1500d and am trying to get the gain set just right. With nothing hooked to it and at 27/35 volume, bass -2, sub -2 and with the gain set 1/2, my DMM reads 60.8 volts. This seems way too high but it does sound pretty good on my dd 3512 wired to 4 ohms. Only thing though, 60 volts would be equal to 3600 watts at 1 ohm. Am I doing something wrong or is this the baddest 1500 watt amp in the world?
