I'm contemplating setting up a Car PC for my truck..The one thing that confuses me though is whenever I use an aux source (Ipod) I notice a loss of loudness. Does that generally occur with a Car PC setup too?

Ok guys I thought my sae-1200 v.2 was screwed when I wasn't getting any output from it at all and it was randomly going into protect mode. I decided to check my connections and behold they were really loose, including the speaker wire on the verge of falling out of the terminal on the back of my box. I redid both of my speaker terminals inside the box and now my amp is not going into protect mode whatsoever. But when I turn the volume up to a decent level it just cuts out but it isn't going into protect mode. When i turn the volume down it comes back on. So I'm almost positive it's low voltage. hey guys, i joined like 5 years ago and used to troll back when fxn and some of the other explorer sites were still around. Since, then I have gotten a different truck, 2006 GMC Canyon, and now comes the system addiction. In my explorer I was running a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 amp to 2 Adire Audio Shiva mark !V's. However after about 2 months the amp fried somehow and I swapped to a RF amp and it is still running strong even though I know longer have it. The point of this post is that I want to put a system in the new truck, with either a few 8's or some shallow 10's and I would love to be able to use this PG amp since I know i can get it fixed. Hey guys im about to purchace a triple alt set up from iraggi alts for my silverado. My question is should i get 2 350 amp alts and a 240 amp alt to help with at idle amperage or should i just get 3 300 amp alts. Ill be running 12k rms for a daily setup, thanks.

I plan to wire my sub to my amp like this, My question is, would it be the same if i ran 1 positive wire out of 1 positive terminal on the amp into 1 positive terminal on the voice coil and the other positive terminal on the amp to the other positive terminal on the other voice coil and the same for the negative?

I installed 3 batteries which one in the engine compartment and another 2 in the boot. Since I owned a small car, I cramped those batteries on the side of the box and its almost impossibel to take them out without taking the whole enclosure with it. So my question is it safe to charge the battries while it is still connected to the amp and the front battery or should I unhook all cables before charging the batteries.

I'm going to hook up the rubicon 702 to an FI SSD12 with copper coils in a sealed enclosure 1.6 cubic feet. This amp has 700RMS watts. Now what should I set the low pass crossover frequency to? Should I set the subsonic filter? If so to what frequency and should I also set the boost?

whats the opinions on the newer MB Quart amps. i know galamonkey uses them and ive seen alot of others with them. Im wondering if they share the same boards as the autotek mean machines. they seem very similar, especially being that they are both crappsonics brands. they are tempting bc you know the name used to be good and you can get them for so cheap on ebay.

hey maybe you guys can answer this. i have a SS labs 2 farad cap. i have lost the dang resistor to sucessfully charge this thing without it blowing up in my face. any clues? i know i can get resistors at radio hack but i don't know what the value was i dont have any paper on it and its 3 years old so i cant even find it online anymore.
