i wanted to buy the new kenwood double din head unit ... it has a 5v rca output ... my problem is my rockford amps have an input sensitivity up to 4 volts ... what will happen if i run the 5v rca output to the amps? ... if i tune the amps with the h/u to say 75% of max volume will the voltage output be less (approx 3.75v)?

I'm considering buying a used Avionixx AXA440.4 for around $100. Any opinions? They're rated at 85x4 W RMS @ 4 ohm but are supposed to put out around 100W. Any info would be great.

I need to find out if i will need the big 3 or not with my setup. Here is what i have 1 12" kicker L7 750watts rms 2ohm dvc and am going to be purchasing a JBL GTO 1201.1 787watts at 4ohms. My car is a 95 ram 1500 and i think the alternator is 120amps will i need the big 3? information on the amp there are 3 40amp fuses so 120 amps is the most the amp will pull i was told just put that there maybe it will help you guys. i been reading around and i just found out that my car has no remote turn on wire, But i have an aftermarket cd player. what color wire should tap into to run the amplifier remote wire?

I drive a work van with a Sony CDX-Mp70 hu. There are no rear speakers installed in the van so i was wondering if i could bridge the rear channels with the front to get some more power up there... Any ideas?

well fellas, i sold my old alpine mrv1000, and i decided to buy another amp..... this amp is for my DLS MW12 (91db,400rms SVC) i need some amp for 400rms or more powa, subsonic filter , class A/B and very clean power what do they recomend me?????' i see the diamond audio D5 600.2 this is a good amp??? other choices???? my price range its under 200bucks thanks

so my buddys had his amp unhooked for a couple months and today i went over to his house and just reconected the power wire and fuzes because thats all that he had unhooked and when we crunk the car and turned the system on his subs just let out what sounded like a 40 hz tone and nothing else his door speakers were playing the song but his subs were just going non stop the system in question is a power acoustic 820 2ohm mono ampand two memphis tens white and black i havent seen the back of the so i dont know exactly what they are someone help me please

I just bought an Pioneer AVH-P8400BH and needed advice on which cable to get for iPod/iPhone functionality. The Pioneer website has conflicting information. It says that for App Mode, you need the CD-IU201S but regarding USB iPod/iPhone Direct Control, it says to use the USB interface cable CD-IU201S or CD-IU201V. Are alpine amps worth buying? are they good?

Hi guys! Its been awhile since I have last been on here. So after many tests of swapping speakers/ crossovers, checking RCAs it comes down to my amp has an issue with the speaker outputs on the left side of the outputs only. The right side works completely fine after swapping speaker wires from left to right. There is sound, but its very fuzzy/dull and almost sounds blown. Can this easily be fixed maybe? Maybe from a member on here? The amp is an Orion 600 watt 2 Channel amp. The amp was maybe purchased in 2007/2008 brand new. Maybe just the age and daily wear and tear its time for a new one? just wondering, if there is any mainstream manufactured gadget for converging multiple 1/0 into a single 1/0 input like that found on the stesom amps. i'm looking for maximum flow/least resistance for an instantaneous dump of power for a single burp. this'll be a single 12 on 2 stetsom 7k e's in a crx. i know others have custom cnc's things, or buss bar type feeders, but just seeing if i can get away with not fabricating something.

Ive got a few questions for those of you that have this amp or have owned it at one time.. i remember reading somewhere the 3000 was only stable down to 2 ohms, but im seeing it on ebay advertised as 1 ohm stable.. true or false? also the power and ground inputs on the amp... 0 gauge or 4 ga like the 1500? thinkin about picking this amp up .. maybe.. thanks.

recently pruchased 3 sets up soundqubed pq mids looking for an amp that can power them much like everyone I am on a budget but i do not wish to sacrifice quality for price . Just having a hard time finding an amp that can fit these prequisites. any help is appreciated

was connecting my UV neon , with the cig lighter in my car , suddenly it smoked up , n smelled like burned plastic, suddenly it went off, and when i touched it it was very hot... any idea , why did that happen ?? pluse the neon wasnt underbody or anything , it was inside the cabin, n no water or any liquid can reach it .. thnx for any helpful ideas

Alright I know I havent posted anything on here in a while but let me bounce and idea off of you guys... I bought a d3100 recently and upgraded my grounds and I am about 13.9v on full bore depending on my rpms. Now I am pushing a dc lvl 5 15" on a SAZ-3500D. My question is - do I buy another 3500D and put 7k watts (not sure what clamped would be) on it? Its a d2 woofer so I think its possible to wire it down to 1 ohm using 2 amps.. My other idea would be to get rid of the 15 and get 2 dc lvl 5 12s and another 3500D. In order to power both my ideas I would need another 3500D (or sell it and get one massive amp) and another 3100. I am just curious since i always here people say that they notice a difference in sound at lower impedance, if 2 ohms will make a noticeable difference in my setup. I currently (and temporarily) am running an MTX 81000d which is rated at 1000w into 2 ohm load. I modified it to run at lower impedance but don't really plan on it. Do you think that there will be a major discernible difference between me running it at 2 or 4 ohms? Will it be as dramatic as an am with rated minimum impedance of 1 ohm running at 1 vs. 4. Just curious because where mine is rated at 2 minimum, i didn't know if it would have the same adverse effect as minimum impedance on something capable of lowe…

I have an '06 tahoe and I am planning on running a saz-3500d @ 1.33ohms and a sax-125.2. I have $400 to put towards an alt today, this Saturday I'll have enough to purchase: 2000-2006 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban V8 AD 270 Amp XP series alternator That seems to be the highest rated alternator I can find. Am I better off waiting and getting that or do any of you guys know of anything cheaper but just as good?

Hey everyone, I was just pulling the OEM radio out of my 03 civic, and I was matching up the wires in accordance to my female harness. Everything matches perfectly, EXCEPT within the male harness, there is an extra wire that is red. Here is what the male harness diagram looks like: Radio 12v: white/red Radio ground: black Radio Ignition: yellow/red Radio Illumination: red/black I'm going to skip labeling the speaker wires, because that's all correct. All of that is correct, and this red wire is located directly under the red/black wire which is the illumination wire for the radio. Could this red wires function possibly be the illumination ground?
