Hey guys i just installed my new Alpine CDA-9886 deck and a pair of Infinity Kappa components and they just are not loud by any means i have set my gains on the 2 channel amp running them (MTX 502X). Now i am really confused the amp's birthsheet said it was rated at 69 watts rms per channel and my factory speakers in the back are louder. Any input would help thanks in advance. Brian

I am starting to debate what amp I should go with, Rockford Fosgate t40001bd, Autotek MM4000, or IA40.1. Pricing doesn't concern me that much, I am more looking for a "which would be a better amp to go with" I am guessing it to be in this order, but am not 100% IA40.1 T40001bd MM4000.1D Thanks I was lookin more for the IA, cuz they aren't as popular as the forgate, but they are becomming harder n harder to find.

Here in my next build, I'm going with 4 batteries, but am unsure about which to use. I'm going to be building a wall in my 2 door Chrysler Sebring....2 Sundown Audio 3000D's, 1 15" custom Nightshade(lil bit of tweaking) and a Sundown Audio 100.4 for component set. I'm running all 0 gauge Kicker Hyperflex wiring, Optima Yellow Top up front with big 3 done with the only alternator available for my vehicle...a Load Boss 160 Amp alternator. Im getting an Fi Q 15' in my '96 ex-cab s10. Do I need a battery exclusively for my system or just a nicer 1 under the hood? Under the hood I have a cheap Duralast.

Ok, I have a Fi Q 15 on the way thats getting ran off of about 1000-1200 watts from a Sundown 1500. I currently have a Pioneer 4900iB and the display has been kinda getting funky and the knob is starting to stick a little. I bought it with all my stuff when I was doing my first system, and now I want to upgrade. It's currently running some Infinity Reference 6.5 coax's off headunit power. I know that it probably wont be able to keep up with the 15 at high volumes. I was really thinking of getting a Premier 880prs or the copper plated 800prs. I dont know if I want to run active at the moment. I will be upgrading to some components soon. I think if I go passive I'll pick up…

Im getting a Fi Q 15'. I was told to go Dual 2 and get a Hifonics 1600d amp, Recently I have found out that Hifonics suck and Dual 1's are better. What is the best amp sub combo Dual 1 and something else or Dual 2 and Hifonics 1600d? On a side note: Waht exactly os the difference between Dual1 and Dual 2?

I have an older Pioneer DEH P930 with a bass enhancement feature that works like an Epicenter. As a bass lover...I have enjoyed being able to use this feature without having to add another piece of equipment (such as an Epicenter), just for this feature, into the system. Do any current Pioneer models have this feature? Do any other manufacturers build a circuit like this into their decks or processors? Thanks!

I have a us acoustics usx2080 that i got from Audio Clinic off of ebay and it is hooked up to my pioneer premiere 720prs speakers and it just doesn't seem much louder than the radio straight to the speaker. My gain is at about 3/4 which seems kinda high to me but thats where the DMM put it. My HU is an Alpine 9885 and i used a 1000hz wave to set my gain to 17.9 volts. Someone told me it may be an install problem but what kind of install problem could cause this? Wouldn't it be either working or not working? Also, how much louder should this amp be than the HU? Thanks for any help or tips!!!

I have ordered 2 Fi BL 12's Dual 2 ohm coils, with the Pchamfer, Flatwind, and daily option. The box is being built this week. I'm deciding on an amp to power them. Currently I have a Kenwood 9152D (supposed to be 900 RMS @ 2 ohms and 900 RMS @ 1 Ohm) So I thought perhaps getting another 9152 and strapping them together but that would under power the subs cause I know i'm not hitting 14.4 volts The 3 amps I've narrowed my interest to are Kicker ZX2500.1 (2500 RMS @ 2 ohms) supposed to be underrated MTX TA92001 (2000 RMS @ 2 ohms, 3000 RMS @ 1 ohm) dunno if this one is underrated? So lets say I have the potential to draw 700amps with my system, If I have 1 battery under the hood and 3 more in the trunk, a run of 3/0AWG wire front to back, how do I fuse it? Last time I checked the largest ANL fuse was 300AMP How do you guys with monster systems do it? other than multiple runs of power wire.

I have a 2004 Hyundai Sonata GLS 2.7L V6 and it comes stock with a 90amp alt BUT Im pretty sure if im running 2 15in Fi BL's ill need one right? I bought a Soundstream 1000amp hybrid capacitor but I dont know it that wil be enough if im running those speakers on the Kicker zx2500.1. Just checking with yall to see and make sure... dont wanna mess up anything you know? If you guys think ill still need one do you have any suggestions? I checked that Irragas store but they didn't have one for my car =(

anyone knows the power rating at 4 ohm? @ 12 Volts preferably i already bought my DC level 4 and now i have to change my amp, i currently have a hifonics brutus 2000 i am selling it, to replace it with a hifonics 2008 model, but i saw this amp at a really good price, but im afraid the 2700 rms will burn it. the sub is a dual 2. any suggestions?

The way gas prices are im going to have to move my system out of my Truck and into my car. Only problem is i cant seem to find a high output alt for my 90 stanza. Anyone got any suggestions?
