So I mistakenly order a 4 Gauge and an 8 Gauge kit by accident of CCA from Knu. I was going to do a run of 4 gauge to the sub amp and 8 to the amp for the fronts. The sub amp is a Hifonics BRX2400.1D. Would the 4 Gauge be enough for just this amp?

alright heres the deal, I just bought a T shaped distro block with an 1/0g input and 2 1/0 outputs. I planned on on running 1/0g to a sundown 50.4 and a sundown 1500 but when i got the 50.4 today the power input looks like the biggest size i can use is 4g. So im wondering what the best way to solve this would be...can i just put 4g wire in the 1/0g output? or would it be better to get a different dblock? And before i order the 1500 i was wondering if it only accepted 4g max too

Hi guys, I have an older Orion 8004 (circa 2003) that has a rather odd wiring setup. I'm not sure, but I think the remote turn-on power is the connector on the far left - with the one bank of speaker connectors. Notice the power connectors on the other side. hey guys, i joined like 5 years ago and used to troll back when fxn and some of the other explorer sites were still around. Since, then I have gotten a different truck, 2006 GMC Canyon, and now comes the system addiction. In my explorer I was running a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 amp to 2 Adire Audio Shiva mark !V's. However after about 2 months the amp fried somehow and I swapped to a RF amp and it is still running strong even though I know longer have it. The point of this post is that I want to put a system in the new truck, with either a few 8's or some shallow 10's and I would love to be able to use this PG amp since I know i can get it fixed. Greetings out there. I have read many write ups and seen many videos about using test tones to set your amp gains with an o-scope. My question is when setting bass amp gains does it matter if you use a 40Hz tone over a 50Hz tone? Each topic on this has used a different tone but never told why. Is it to install a DVD/Navigation Unit in a car. Is it about the same as a HU, I'm going to be helping my cousin install this in his truck. I was just wondering if it was more difficult to install then a regular HU. He Has this: Panasonic

I have 3 of the old rockford 200x2 transana amps 2 of them i bought from a guy that swore they worked fllawlessly. Anyway I hooked them up to test them out, they paly fine until they have to play a low note, and then they clip i guess, until i turn the volume down a little and then they play fine. The other 200x2 I have doesnt do that at all I can play it all day long and it never does that. has anyone ever heard of such a problem?

looking for some comp amps that do 5-7kw @1ohm can only be a single amp not strapped amps. used for usaci 601 to 1800 class so the 4 ohm output needs to be 1800 or less. that or an amp with 4ohm under 600w capable of .5 ohm power around 4k thanks for the help

Can anyone compare em to the 8053? I have the option of buying the 8053 right now but i need to make sure it has a RCA input for my Omnifi. Plus wanna make sure whether there is much of a difference between this unit and the new one. Plus the new one matches with my dash better.

When you build a set up that gets beyond just ho alt and batts and you step up to dual,triple etc alternator how is it wired? Do you run the output from second alt to secondary batts? or does it feed into the system another way? Where do you run the ground? Just wanting to know the general outline of this type of install. Yes I used the search function but no complete answer/understanding.

When replacing in line fuses with a bigger size do I have to buy another holder or can I use the one I have now? Thanks

I have been looking at upgrading my electrical system to support my future audio system. I am looking at either XS Power D1200 or Kinetik HC1200 for my main battery replacement. As they are the largest that will fit my factory battery location (as near as I can tell). Upon pricing I found a link to Batteryspec.com which sells Kinetik knockoff batteries named Tempest. Have anyone ever heard of or tried any of those batteries? And are they worth even putting in a vehicle? $124 Tempest or $248 Kinetik (shipped prices). big difference. But is the lower price worth it, that's the question?

why do people think you have to use the same brand amp as the driver?

If I'm trying to do a 2 way front stage. With a 3 way crossover that has the hpf 's I need for the Mids and tweeters how would I cut them off where they need to be if I have no controls on the amp for them? Subs are from 25-60. So was going to cross the Mids around 60. And tweeters around 4-5 k ......

this is gonna sound dumb, but I know very little about running active set ups. I'm not planning on it anytime soon, but just trying to be better informed. Google has been no help. My question is how are the rca's ran in a situation like this: any old HU with front, rear, and sub preouts a good 4 channel like a SAX100.4 or similar standard 2 way com set with mid and tweeter. I have a duralast gold in the front and a hc2000 in the rear but fear my electrical could be sooo much better if I got a better batt to replace the duralast in the front. Any suggestions for a good batt for the front under 200 bucks...

I could not find the answer using the search fonction. Sorry. Can I use the Alpine 9886 with the Alpine processor pxa h 701 without getting the "screen" remote( RUX something) ? A friend of mine already has the h u, and he just made a fantastic deal on the processor. He does not know how to run both ! He has the imprint processor but this new one seems way better. If he has to buy the remote, he will do it, but it would be great to just run bost equipment without anything more. Thanks for your help guys !
