What are some good 16v batts I can get to run my soundstream xxx10000 off of(10,000w rms @ 1 ohm, wanna get the most I can outta this amp...and that rating is at 16v...)? I know a guy selling 4 turbostart s16va's for 400 shipped, and he said he installed them but never used them, so they're basically like new. What other brands are out there? Interstate? Powermaster? Kinetic? Should I get a bunch of 8v's and wire them to make 16v? Also if I do buy those 4 turbostarts, will that be enough for my amp, or will I need more? This will be for daily use and I'm gonna run a seperate alt to charge them, I don't want the little regulator thing to switch from 12 to 16... Thanks in …

I have a kx1200.1 and its acting very weird, when the car turns on it makes a clicking noise like it wants to turn on but it doesnt put out ne power ... or turn on ... any ideas what this could be?

I have a crossover/eq and a petra full range crossover.I have to much midrange and has to much mid in the speakers.Can i use my eq to controll my mids.

hey everybody, a buddy of mine is looking for a decent/good quality amp to use for his daily driver. Hes running 2 Kicker CVX 15s, looking for around 4000wrms. He found a Powerbass that can do 4000wrms @ 1 ohm... just looking for some general feedback on these amps performance wise...do they put out what they say they do? I did a few searches and found some similiar topics, but I couldn't find any that pertained to my situation. Currently, I have a modern alpine model, just a cheaper one. The 9881 I believe. I like the set-up of it a lot and use its iPod control almost exclusively over CD's. I am looking to upgrade though for some more options for tuning. These are the two big ones that seem to be somewhat similiar, but have a few different options. I will definetely need the head unit to have good iPod control. Hi guys, I'm transfering most of my gear from my old car to my new one. I had a 03 tdi with an Alpine HU ida-x305s with imprint module and now got an 12 tdi. I like the oem radio for all its features: hands free, sirius/xm, the iphone/ipod connection. I got myself an Audison Bit Ten D to tune in all my gear and got into an argument with a friend of mine about keeping the oem head unit. He says that the oem head unit is garbage and it doesnt matter how good a sound precessor is, if I feed it garbage in with the oem HU, it will give me garbage out to my speakers. I would like to have your opinions on this subject. Thanks.

I just got my brand new JVC KD-AVX77 in today. Got all the supplies needed and hooked it all up properly. *soldering and heat shrink. The unit itself works fine, but no sound at all! No sound is being projecting through the speakers. I put in my stock headunit and it works fine. Anyone know what the issue is? I matched up all the connections. I called JVC and someone told me to connect all the reds and yellows and connect them together............can someone help? I need this done today! Thanks

I was given an old MTX TP3002 from my girlfriends dad the other day because he didn't think it worked anymore. Well, I replaced all the fuses and terminals. I wired it up and it worked fine. Hooked it to an 8 ohm speaker to test, and it worked. I took it to my car and hooked it to 2 SA-8's bridged at 4 ohms. The subs started popping, then the amp shut off and smoke poured out. The gains and everything were all the way down. Anyone know what could have happened? It worked fine on my test bench in the garage, then fried in my car when subs were wired to it.

i understand fans are useful in keeping your amps cool ... i see a lot of people just using them for their sub amps ... i also felt my amps and my sub amp gets a lot hotter than my 4 channel ... do people mainly put fans just on their sub amps or all of their amps?

i got a soundstream sa-164 a cpl months back its in mint cond. was it worth the $40? also what yr were these made also i recently traded a pair of 6x9 boxes for a brand new alpine mrd-m300 v12 i like how it tell u the volts, current ,an temp. i have it hooked to a pc power supply in my room and it will jump up to about 11.0 amps before it shuts off the power supply. my alt. in my car is bad so i havent tried it in there yet. now my ? is can anyone tell me the average amps it might pull at 14.4v? thanx in avance

Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I need a some help finding a H.O. alternator for my 2000 ford taurus. My amp is a zx1500.1 which i have running at 4ohm to my FiQ(upgrading to an xcon). I cant really crank it up without the amp going into protect when the bass hits... Does anyone know where i can find one? Seem like every site i go to has alts for other cars except mine.. If there is any info needed about my system ill answer as best as i can.

i was installing a voltmeter today and i ran a power wire for it from the front battery threw the firewall and up to around where my headunit is the wire was 8g so i just hooked everything up to see if it was working everything worked fine then i moved the headunit and that power wire touch the back off my headunit it sparked and now the hu wont work i dont know how that could break it it touched the part in the back that looks like a heat sink idk what that part is for its liek ridges any way it made this terrible smell so i guess its broke i didnt like that hu anyway it was a soundstream touch screen one so for my new hu im looking for one with just buttons and volume …

I accidentally cracked the cone of my Fi Q12 not paying attention to having cargo secured properly. Anyhow, It's been replaced but once I put it back together, the woofer practically has zero output and what's there sounds really distorted. I double checked my ground and it reads .2 ohms. Power to the amp is good (reads 12.65V on battery). Reading across the woofer coils is good (1.2ohms). I swapped out a new RCA thinking maybe that's it and still the same thing. Messing around with the head unit and amp settings make no difference. I even replaced the woofer completely and it also does the same thing. so yea before i start buying and end up with tons of stuff that i can't use, i want your all's opinions. hi, i currently have an alpine pdx 4 100 and today i was messing around with my crossover because i was using my head unit as it and my battery died this morning so i lost everything when i replaced with and ever since i messed with the crossovers it has been going into prottection mode after about 10 mins at full volume ( by full volume i mean 45 out of 62 becuase that is where i set my gains to.) now last time it did this it was hot outside ( 97o) and today it is 92 but the feel like temp is 97 so could that be the problem. i have it mounted on my backseat with them folded up.

Ok first you need. 1.ps2 or other gaming system. 2. monitor 3. power converter 4. some supplies from radio shack. Video--- Ok so we all know the ps2 has male rca's right. So my monitor in particular has one male rca that is for the video in. So i had to go to radio shack and get a double sided female rca connector to get the screen to work. So thats how the video is hooked up. Sound-- This can be tricky depending on your radio. Some radios have an auxilary input for tvs and such, so if you have this just connect the red and white rcas to you radios auxilry input.
