I have an 06 impala and plan on installing my head unit in the next few days... I was wondering if anyone knew if it would hurt to hook my deck up without using the door chime box with the stage 2 harness. I have a bad habit of not wearing my seatbelt and do not want to listen to my car beep over and over again when im not buckled in . Does anyone know if it would hurt anything to just wire up the harness and cut the chime box plug off (or just leave it unhooked) when I install my stereo?

Does anyone have or have experiance with this CD Deck? I have this deck in my car right now and like it alot. I just bought an iPod online today for my car being the deck has a USB connection. Anyone running an iPod in their car? How does it work? Can you control it from the deck?

im looking to buy 2 new batteries for the back of my truck. ill be runnin a 225 amp alt with the IA40.1 and a 4 channel alpine 4x90w.. im leanin toward the powermaster d2400's.. the 2 other batteries on my list would be the Xstatic Batcap model 2000 or the Deka Intimidator Battery - 9A31 opinions please..?

So, looking to get some thing ordered. gonna run an Orion 2500d, and I'm thinking that Load Boss might cut it. Its rated at 220A, and 110 @ idle. but I have heard people testing the 220's @ 238A. would that be sufficient for the orion or would I need more... cause those Iraggi's are like 3X more.... another funny thing... from the manf. quotes... LB, 110A @ 800rpm, 220A @ 1600rpm built, Denso, 70A @ 800rpm, 165A @ 1600rpm......? huh.... its a 280A btw. also, thinking about running a 1/0 knuconcept collosus, Pos. & Neg. from front batt. to amp/back batt.(or/and batcap). Is this worthwhile? I imagine its a much better ground.

i need fairly reasonable amp(s) to power these two drivers, also how many yellow tops would be good for this application if im using a 200 amp alt? if its not two much trouble can someone break the channel thing down for me as far as when you would use what type of amp..

I posted a while back on my company's development of factory replacement radios - just want some follow up feedback from everyone. We made radios for Toyota, GM, Ford, Chrysler and have some more on the way including a Honda CRV and some universal fits. I've gotten some requests from customers and dealers. I'd like to know what other vehicles everyone thinks would be good to have. . . radios with the factory look and aftermarket features. What do you think and what have you heard? hey folks I was hoping u fellas could help me on an amp decision. I think i finally got a pretty good box build at 2.5 cuft per woofer. I have two 12 RE SX 12D2's. I listen to alot of rap and R&B and while i am a lil concerned about SQ, I know i'm a bass head at heart. I want a beast of a daily driver but i also want to be able to take a crack at competitons say one comes my way... any suggestions?

NooB's, DO NOT COMPREHEND THIS POST. Under 1 ohm coverage is void from Z series Sundown amps so no warranty is implied in this post! Ok, my question I understand that the warranty is void by doing this but throwing that out the window, i know it's still possible so what i want to know is, when is the amp not safe? Let's say i got 2 SAZ-1500ds strapped and ran a load at 0.93 ohms. Warranted coverage is no lower than 2 ohms strapped. I've talked to a manufacturer before and he said about all his amp returns are due to people not knowing what they are doing when they run too low of a load. What i want to know is, what makes it "ok" to run below that load? I keep seeing …

I'm looking for a good 600 - 700 watt amp. Any recommendations? It'll be to power a pair of Audiopulse Epic 12s. Impediance doesn't matter. Just needs to be able to power a pair of Epic 12s. As for budget, I could spend up to 400.

Hey, i have two autotek mm amps. Both of them have "balanced line inputs." The plug in for this looks similar to a s-video plug. In my manuals it says that the balanced inputs accept line level balanced from 0.4v to 18 volts. Also that the XX-BLD can be used as a line driver. I cannot find the "XX-BLD." And also every line driver that i view only has rca outputs and not the plug that is similar to the s-video plug. I've never used a line driver before but i'd like to. And i have an Alpine 9855 2004 model with 4V pre-outs. Can anyone help? Thanks!

i was thinkin i wanted to get a 3000-3500 watt amp for 2 15" BL's but i just thought to myself that im not goin to compete with them, so is having the extra 250-450 watts really worth it??

i recently was helping a friend install an aftermarket headunit in an 02 grand am and the new unit wont turn on. so i put the factory unit back and it didnt turn on. what has happened here? i normally install headunits on older cars and i never ran into this problem. any ideas on how to fix? i believe its the security but i dont know how to fix the problem

has anybody had any use with the Concept Audio CC-D1200 amp? It says 1200@1ohm is this a true rating? i used to own a viper vr1000d would the concept put out more then the viper?

i have a 10" RL-i D4 on the way, now i'm trying to choose and amp. goals were... 1: no more than $250 with shipping tacked on. would like to make it less if i could, but if the choice means paying that much than so be it. 2: a minimum of 500rms at 2ohm. sub will be in a optimum recommend size sealed box which i believe was .65 cu.ft. i have done lot of searching and reading reviews and posts with people giving their opinions, not only here, but other places. i have it down to these choices. well need some rateing and opions on a PG ZX350 and a MEI DA7400 both are 4ch just looking for a low cost 4ch and both of these are $100 trying to get 120-150 RMS at 2 ohms. thanks mc
