I have 8guage kicker ofc wiring kit in my truck. Right now its powering one powerbass asa 400.2 subwoofer amp that puts 400 rms. I have an old amp that i want to put on my front door speakers that is 55x2 rms. Would my 8 guage wire be enough for that also? Or do i need to get another wiring kit to be safe? Thankyou. Oh and is there any advice for wiring my front doors? I want both amps in the back of thetruck. Do i run wires from where the factory wires are to the amp for high level input then another back to the doors? Or do i take the wire out of the door and then to the amp And to the doors? I just picked up an electronic xover and each of the 3 outputs have a "level" setting which I assume is like an amps "gain" control....How do I set that correctly? The manual does not specify how to do it.

Hi, I have juste received an aliante 12si and i'm trying to figure out what amp would cope with it. I don't want mono one but a 2channels... i have a ground zero 4125SQ for the front which is a Focal KRX3. But i'm trying to find other 4-6ch to compare them (Zapco DC, Zed, Mosconi, McIntosh,...) I'm just saying this because i'd like the "project" (not build yet) to stay aesthetic so i will probably stay in the same brand for he amps. Thanks for your help

As per title lads, I have a full range RCA going into the H650 but I reckon it could sound alot better than it does Any suggestions dudes?? Is there a setting i must change on the HU to get the better response out of the Processor?? Thanks in advance dudes quinny

I am running power from rear battery to amp. My question is will I be ok with 24in from battery to the fuse holder (300A fuse)then from there 56in to amp? Or do I run 12in from rear battery to fuse holder then a run to amp?

What size/thickness copper pipe is used to make copper lugs/ring terminals?

to power a 15" or 18" Q should i usa a autotek mm 1400.1 or ss 1500.1? the reason i ask is becasue i have seen a few test done where the ss500 and i think the 1000 did there rated power around 13.8-14 volts. or should i go with the mm1400 and i am getting a good deal on the amps so they are the only 2 i can pick from.

Getting ready for a long road trip next week and had a question. Going to be running a large power inverter the whole time and I wanted to put a extra battery or 2 in. My question is I have a 1 year old blue top from my boat and plan on buying a new blue top to go also, would it be a bad idea to run them both together.

Hi, Im about to start a build in my 2003 Dodge Dakota, Will be running a Crescendo BC2000D to two 15" SSA ICONS and a Rockford T15004 to a set of Hertz HSK components and probably 2 8" or 10" Crescendo Mids. Have an XS Power D2700 so far just wondering if at this point getting A 250 amp Singer alternator or a second battery ex XP2000 or XP2500 would give me less voltage drop or if its even necessary with that power? All wiring is Knukonceptz Kolosses 1/0 Gauge 1 run - one run +. Also any advice on personal experience with people running Crescendo mids along with a high end component set? Thanks,

My buddy wants a cheap system installed in his car. He already has a deck and speakers, just wants a little amp and a little bit of bass. His HU in an intro line Pioneer, bout a year old. It doesn't have a seperate sub out, but only has one pair of outputs. I know he wont have subwoofer control, but could you hook up the one pair of line outs (front) to the sub amp? I don't really see any reason why not, I've just never had to think about it before. Always had 3 sets of outputs. I know its probably a stupid question, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a crossover/eq and a petra full range crossover.I have to much midrange and has to much mid in the speakers.Can i use my eq to controll my mids.

I've been searching around for some 3/0 lugs for my electrical upgrade. I really prefer using the split barrel over the solid like most of what you see. Like this: I found some on amazon for $2 each. I know I can use the solid barrel but they all seem so damn bulky. Well, not that 3/0 isn't bulky anyway but I'm not trying to have a huge stack of crap on all my connections either. Nor am I trying to spend $100 on some terminals. Anyone have any good reliable sources to look at? Any suggestions? I'm not totally against using the solid barrel lugs if they are fairly compact. Usually I use something like the Knu terminals and call it a day but they don't offe…

I'm trying to bring the shine back to my old SS class a amps. I've started on a few fins using eagle one nevr-dull. It comes out nice but takes forever to clean up. Anyone here have a good suggestions for cleaning up aluminum?

can someone finish this diagram for me? keep in mind, i will have TWO sets of horns, and TWO relays. so i need to know how to hook up the one switch for both sets of horns, to both relays. also, i just need one fuse for both power wires going to the relays right? what amperage should i get? the horns are Hella Supertone 85115's.

i was adjusting things on my treo ssx250.2 amp and noticed their is an audible noise coming from the amp. sounded almost as if the internals were squeaking to the music. thing is i don't htink it' s the amp i replaced the treo temporally with a us amps amp and it did it also . i'v enever seen or heard this in the past anybody know what the problem could be?

A few hours ago I put a Sony Head unit in my friends car. Not sure what model; her parents took it out of their old car. Once it was wired up, we tested it. The tuner was coming in static-y or not at all, depending on how we moved the antenna wire around. It was a 2000 corolla and didn't require an antenna adapter. The cd function and aux function work fine and sounds clear. They listened to fm radio with the factory HU on the way here, with no problem. Any ideas?

I'm from the UK so it's a little harder to get hold of Fi and Sundown , and everyone's talking about it,, but o well so i was wondering if this amp is anygood DLS Classic CAD11 im still getting an Fi Q from a UK dealer. or does anyone know a distributor in the UK that sell sundown amps. Well guys my avic's outputs took a shit today. Have a horrible alternator wine no matter what i do and its putting my 1500d into protect. Plugged up the ipod to both amps with the car running and no problems with either amp. Ive tried everything from different rca's to different remote wires and nothing seems to work. you guys got any ideas?
