Hello everyone I have a little problem. I just installed another kinetik hc 2400 in my 03 yukon. I am currently running 1 red top under the hood and 2 kinetik hc 1400 and 2 kinetik hc 2400. I'm pushing 2 18's tc sound ultra lms and a ia40. I am waiting for my second one to come. I charged the 5 month old 2400 and one of the 1400. After installing all the batteries and driving for 20 minutes my engine light came on. What's the problem. I tryed removing the connections for 5 mins to reset the computer, but that didn't work. Anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

Is there a preferred method in setting multiple gains/levels??? Stuff like: 1. Radio's subwoofer, line-out-converter, volume controls 2. Sound processor input/output/levels 3. Amplifiers' gain

whats up yall. in my system i have us amps 400, esx q404, two ssd12's, a duralast battery upfront and an optima red top in back. for fuse i only have the one in between the two batteries and it is 80a. thats the only one the local car shop had left at the time of install. my question is should i go ahead and order a bigger fuse? does it really matter? and should i have another fuse somewhere in my setup? the esx is internally fused and the us amps has very good internal protection. anybody with thoughts on this?

I have an 01 tahoe with 2 15's kicker cvr dvc 4 ohm wired down to 1 ohm. Us amps xt 4000 1500rms@1ohm and a crunch 1400 4 channel and a 4 farad performance teknique power cap. red top under hood and db electrical ho alt. Have not did the big three yet. At idle my voltage drops to 13 or even 12 when bass really hits. Will the big three help with 0 gauge wire. Should I buy a powermaster D680 or D975 and get rid of the cap

I inquired about purchasing this massive 1500watt amp from a buddy of mines for a few bucks and he said it cuts on fine it just stays in protection should I purchase it and get it repaired. He is selling the amp for 25 bucks. worth repair yay or nay?

I planned on putting 4 strobe lights inside my wall (sealed off from box shinning through a plexi window). I wanted to know if it is possible to hook up a music interface to these and if so where can I find one?

Is it me but I just bought an hd radio and it sounds terrible. I thought it was suppose to be cd quality. I will agree than the sound stage widens and more clarity with the highs and lows. But it's also accompanied with an electronic (synthesized) sound. Kind of like a subtle robot voice in the background. Which I don't experience with analog signals.

Iv recently blown my Alpine 1000.1 amplifier so i decided to replace it with an older PG Xenon 1200.1 i had lying around. I was looking at the control knobs and noticed it only has a Bass boost option, but no gain setting. Iv looked it up and its a bass boost knob for 45hz, 0-18db. I was just curious how i would go along setting this boost without a gain setting as well. Also, how should i set my deck settings along with this? I'm running 2 Alpine Type X 10" subwoofers in a ported box if that helps. Thanks -Mike

Anyone know of a good amp repair place that might be able to fix an old Mark Antony 25OPCM? I found a phone number for Concept, I believe they bought them out years ago--but haven't had a chance to give them a call. I would REALLY like to get this amp repaired if at all possible.

hey i posted on another forum the question on wether or not it was a good amp for $250 i am buying two kinetik 2000's and i have 0ga wire all around my alt is stock @ 80 to 100a. i am only looking for about 2000 watts because i have 2 fissd's. i got responses back this amp is a current hog and i need to run it @ 17v to get it's full potential but i dont need the full potential, besides arent all amps that provide 4k worth of power current hogs? how do you guys feel about this amp for daily 2k on the electrical set up i have?

i have a kenwood h.u. that ive had for about 2 years not sure the model name(can get if needed) but it has the 2 preouts in back and usb and aux in the front. I was playing my ipod yesterday and all of a sudden it just stopped , so i unplugged it and tried it again and all it says is reading . i have tried both my ipods and that is not the problem, the aux works fine . any suggestions on how or what i can do to fix it?

I have been looking at the clarion eqs746 dash mount crossover. Not sure if I like the idea that my head unit has 3 rca outputs and the EQS746 only has one input. I am interested in installing a crossover but was thinking of looking at a trunk mounted model. thoughts??? Opinions???? model suggestions for the trunk mount models??? have been looking at Audio control and I have a MTX RT-X02i used in the 90's looking to improve my current sound output. I feel like I am missing something just haven't figured that out yet.

Earlier this week I had an opportunity to listen to a DD S4 amp. It was pushing a 6.5" component set up-front and one ported 12" in the trunk. Color me impressed, it sounded very good to my ears. I was just curious about other's people's opinions on the DD amps. *Are they reliable? *Are they expensive? *How is their customer service? The 4ch amp is rated at 100x2 and 200x2. I did the big 3 last weekend to my 2000 dodge dakota and was woundering about a wiring configuration. I currently have two 0 gaguge runs from the frame to the engine block and two 0 gauge runs from the battery neg. to the frame using the same post on the frame used in the frame to engine block runs. I have one run of 0 gauge from the alt. to the battery positive and a run of 4 gauge from the alt. to the fuse box which was place there by the guy installing the alt. Two Questions: 1) Should I run a 0 gauge from the engine to the battery negative, or should my currently setup be ok? 2) Should I remove the 4 gauge from the fuse box and run it directly to the pos. battery pos…

I'm planning to upgrade my electrical. My battery is in the back of the car (Magnum). Couldn't I just run new wire from the alt to a pair of separate batteries? Rather than wire all three together? I'd be running a pair of 105 AH marine deep cycle batts, dry cells, separate from a regular dry cell car battery. I've never seen it done, although i'm sure it has been. Thanks.

I saw a discussion about this a long while ago on some audio site and can't find it again. I just wanted to know if there are any substancial advantages to running power wire directly from the alt to the back battery bank. For example: I have 4 runs of 1/0 running from front to back, 2+ and 2-. Right now, both + are running back from the + on my front battery. Would it be advantagous to run one run back from the + on the front battery, and the other from the + on the alt to the back battery bank? Advantages, disadvantages, not matter? Hello SSA members. I just recently installed my system into my new car. Running a 15" FIQ off a zx1500.1 @ 4ohms. I ran this same setup for about a year now, only difference is I upgraded my wiring, 4 gauge to 0 gauge. My amp gets really hot, FAST. Bass boost and all sub levels set to 0, and I don't run my gains high at all, 1/2 way at the absolute most. My amp has gotten hot before, but not the hot and especially not this fast. Does anyone have a clue to what the problem may be? If there's any other info that you may need, feel free to ask. Thanks.

I was wondering will the memphis mojo 4kw run at a 1/2 ohm on burps with proper voltage. I do know that the 08 version will run at 1/2 ohm but they changed a few things on the new mojo.

I just installed a hifonics Zeus zrx3000.1d. I was wondering if a 4 gauge big 3 upgrade would help with the light dimming and give the amp more consistent power? Any ideas? If so, I saw on knukon
