I've got two grl5500's that I picked up cheap and used for awhile while I was doing upgrades. Problem I ran into is that when I upgraded my alt. I made a noob mistake of not upgrading my fuse to rear battery. I know Duh! Adw I didn't catch it and everything was fine until my rear batteries voltage just gave out. After doing all the proper wiring upgrades, which I should have done first, I charged the battery made sure it was fine then proceeded to hook amps back up. They powered up but produced no sound. Not for sure what to do. I've since got my sundown in, but would have liked to recoup some money on these. Any ideas on what could be the problem or just write it up as a…

i know old school sound streams are good amps. i have a mint sa-164 already and it suprises me how much power it puts out. and the rubicon 1002 is supposed to put out 1000w rms. thats just what i need so is $150 for this amp an ok deal that will guarantee me 1000w rms?

Is it ok to run a hc1800 kinetic with a xs power 3000

hey guys, i came across a nice and in great condition orion xtr250 3G amp for a good price. i was just curious to know if it was worth dropping a little cash on it. does $125 sound right as far as how much they resale for? im only giving $30 for it..... what you all think?

I just picked up an electronic xover and each of the 3 outputs have a "level" setting which I assume is like an amps "gain" control....How do I set that correctly? The manual does not specify how to do it.

I got my box design, I got the sub I want in mind. (Fi BTL 15''), I got the Big 3 finished. Getting a free yellow top optima battery. In the works of a 200amp alternator. Will a 200amp alternator run a SAZ-3000D amp with/without ease? I want to make sure that this setup will not stress my cars electrical system if I have everything that I listed above. i no longer have the tools that go on the sides of the reciver to pull it out any suggestions on how to otherwise do it ... like the little strips of mettal that are used to pull out your reciever out i dont have em any suggestions

Anyone have experience with the massive audio P30001? http://massivemulti-media.com/store/index....p;products_id=4 The prices are very low right now on e-bay and it looks good. If it's as good as it looks does anyone know if it can handle say a 1.4 ohm load with good power supply or is it a rigid 2 ohms? I was thinking of running one of these to A btl 15". what do you guys think? Hope this makes sense I am undercaffenated.

I want to make 2 buss bars, one for ground and one for positive. I'd like to mount them to opposite sides of the same piece of wood. No pieces of metal will touch, so would this be ok?

Is the RCA out on the slave amp still live or is it defeated along with the other functions IE: gain, LPF, subsonic, etc.? Reason I am asking is with the RCA lengths and the way my amps are installed is it would give me a cleaner look if I could use the RCA out on one my slave amp to the RCA in of the other strapped pair's master. Here is a pic, I want the top 2 amps to be the master and slaves on bottom. I want to run RCA under and between amps rather than on top. I have nothing working right now so I cant check it for myself and dont want to get that far and find out it wont work. Cliffs: does the RCA output of the slave amp still work when strapped? Thanks!

I thought about using the Batcap 8400 because it would save weight over conventional batteries. It weighs 70 lbs vs several hundred lbs for yellowtops. Its capable of 8400 amps @16V and up to 9600 amps@12V. Anyone have experience with these and how they compare to batteries? Any issues w/these things?

If you had a choice between the Orion 4004.4 amp and the tsunami db4440 (avionix) which would you choose? Is one going to be cleaner sounding than the other or would any difference be negligible? Say you could get both amps for the exact same cost. I have an old school memphis Belle 6-ch amp. Here is what I know for sure: -Channels 1-4 work fine. (4x75@4) -Channels 5 and 6 have possible the same problem, but 6 has it worse. (2x150@4 playing 80-250hz) -Channel 5 works maybe half the time at start up -Channel 6 never works on start up. -Power/ground/remote is secure and is 4awg. -Both speakers are connected properly. -Both speakers have power from the amp (I know this for a fact) -Neither speaker is blown, both have good coils and leads. -The RCAs are good and both send signal to the amp (again, I know this) -If I play a tone within range of the band pass and gradually turn up the volume to about 80% up to the volume …

So my car has been dieing after sitting overnight. It won't start in the morning. I have been leaving it on the charger overnight. I have an Optima Red Top under the hood and a 55ah SR12-205FR Super Rate Series in the trunk. I took the trunk batt out at Autozone and the guy tried to test it and said it was at 10.xx volts and he couldn't run the test with it that low. He said that I have to do a trickle charge on this batt, it can't be charged with a regular charge. Is this true? Then we tested the red top (with the trunk batt still disconected) and it was resting at 12.41 volts and read as a bad batt. The Autozone guy said it should be around 12.45 volts and I should tri…
