I have a power acoustik vu560-4x. Back in high school was being dumb when hooking it up and crossed a wire or two and basically it went up in smoke. Basically determined the problem to be 3 of these mosfets. Just wondering how hard it would be to replace these. Would it be just some simple soldering? I figure the 5 bucks it would cost would be worth the try for a highs amp.

i am planning on buying a kinetik hc1800, and do the big 3 with 0awg, but will it be enough to power a RF T1500-1BD and a power acoustiks 1000 watt max 4-channel, i know it wont be full tilt, but just wanna know if it would power it welll, if not, what else can i do, swap it for a kinetik hc2000???? open for sugestions, and really cant afford a HO alternator, i have a silverado 2000 4.3 single cab,

Hello SSA I am wanting to know what are the subwoofer settings on the head units supposed to be set at? I am trying to get the most possible but I'm assuming if they are turned up all the way up I'll be clipping? no really sure where to set them at. Anyone please help lol

what is a good headunit to run if i plan on using it as my crossover and 2 15's or 2 18's. probably orion hcca's or btl's. and a sundown audio 3000saz.

Would mounting my amp on the same side I mount my woofers cause any problems? I mean that would be the strongest part of the box considering its a double baffle? There's enough space to fit it there so I don't see how it would be a problem but figured I'd post to get input, any possible side affects?

So I just purchased this subwoofer Sundown SA12 v2. D4 RMS power 1000watts I have a sundown saz 1500d v.3 but I feel like it's a bit much Specs for amp 2ohm =3000watts x 1CH 1ohm= 1500watts x 1CH 4ohm= 400watts x 1CH What amp would you recommend for this single sub?

Allright guys, I was working on the car last night, and re-doing my grounds and re-running everything neatly...and what not...and put everything together nicely. I got done, and now my amplifiers stay on constantly even when I kill the car. And my headunit will not turn on. I did pull the H/U but I checked everything behind it, and nothings loose or broken. If I un-plug the Remote wire from the amps, they turn off.....seems like they are getting power from a hot source, but the H/U will not come on. I didn't let anything touch in the trunk, or anything...no fuses have blown...no loose connections anywhere. I'm stumped .....never ran into this problem before....has any one…

So I'm about to purchase a second battery for my car. My questions are the following. Only one fuse is needed (just like in my current setup, same one I currently have)? and it still goes between the last battery and the amplifier, no more than 12" away from amp, correct? The batteries are very close to each other (trunk), do they need to have their black (ground) terminals connected to each other or can each battery have their own ground? (I know for the red (positive) they must be connected to each other or else this wouldn't work). No problems if my main battery is a D2400 and my second is a D3100? I'm replacing a friends factory front door speakers and running all after market stuff minus the H/U. Is it possible for me to use a few feet of the factory speaker wire and them solder some 14ga wire to run to the aftermarket amps. I know this sounds really crappy, but this SUV (Ford Edge) is a real sh&t when it comes to going from the door into the cab.

Picking up one from a friend as part of a great package deal in a few days and i am trying to get a little feedback from anyone who is familiar with them. It should suffice for now until i have time and $$$ to build something better. I'm picking up the amp, a Rockford T210d2 sub, a sealed box thats basically useless but still, and a 0 awg wire kit for 350 dollars. Basically i just wanna know if the amp or the sub are the weaker link and which i should replace first. and also if you guys think that it will run an icon 12 ok until i get my sundown? and then hopefully an Xcon insides look fairly beefy

Basically i can tarde my Crunch GP3000D PLUS $400 cash for a Stetsom 7KD in almost perfect condition. Only problem is a slightly bend mounting tab. Right now I have a DVC 2 ohm 12" BTL to the GP3000D and want a nice, clean efficient amp. Next summer I plan to do a wall in my accord with 2 1ohm 18" BTLs to maybe this 7kd if the trade goes well. So for the time being, I will run the BTL off of the 7kd at 4ohms and still be running around 2500 rms. What do you all think about this trade one my end?

Just curious if the kinetik will be an upgrade compared to the stock G34 I have up front. The kinetik is smaller than the stock battery, but it's also a battery designed for this type of thing. Might sound like a no brainer but I wanted to make sure.
