im deciding between these two decks for awhile now and i wanted to know who has which and what they like about it. I can get the x889 for $218 or i could pay an extra $100 and get the pio 860mp.Now ive heard that the pio is alot easier to use and might have a better eq and other stuff but is it better then the x889 and worth the extra $100???

Hey, I was running wires etc today and I decided to just make sure everything worked alright before I got my box built. So the amp turns on and appears to be fine (it isnt in protect mode) but the subs only hiss. It seems like they are moving a little bit but I dont hear any sound except for white noise. My rca's probably arent the best *rockford fosgates* but they should work and for the ground I sanded a patch in the trunk and screwed it down. The amps manual says that white noise is caused by the amps settings but I turned them all in different ways and still nothing. btw I have a hifonics brutus 1606d and 2 12" soundsplinter rlps and a pioneer premier 6700 any ideas?

Did you know that of all places Circuit City is now stocking Eclpise?? I have just gotten and installed the CD-3000 and I do have to say it is VERY nice for the money. Not a ton of features that you dont need but it seems to have good clean sound. Nice 5v constant outputs from the pre-amp. A few built in EQ's and a somewhat OK cross-over. It playes MP3's ect and has a pretty nice display! I would love to see the CD-7000 in action. Then again.. I dont need navagation! Good day all!

Guess what new toy is replacing my Eclipse 8443...................................................... an Eclipse 8454!!! And it only cost me 214$ after tax!!!!! Its was such a steal. From the dealer and everything! I took advantage of a chain getting rid of Eclipse and asked if they had any more HU's available. He was like yeah I got a 8454 that is open box used in a window display(not an actual one where people touched it) and was like i can sell it for 200$. I was like, here's my card!

just read up on the PG site and the Xenons are discontinued, and so goes the XeLoad with the flexiable 1-4ohm stability with similar output, suprised they are going this way, seems as if the Xenon was the step between the Titanium and the Tantrum, and now they are dropping it, so the new Rsd line is taking the place of the Xenon and none are ratted to be 1 ohm stable, what is going on, PG has always been a company with a top end line to aspire to have, now I am not so sure and this goes for the subs and components too, are they down grading to stay afloat and jumping on the F&F bandwagon?

I know how to set the gains with a DMM by reading the sticky post by im confused on 2 things 1)when setting a 4 channel amp with 2 gains(1 for each 2 channels)how do you get each gain?my amp puts out 75w x 4(@ 4ohm) 2)When it said if ur amp puts out more watts than ur subs can handle use the watts of the subs instead.so lets just say a amp is 1500w @ 2ohm and the subs is 600w each so do i add the watts of the subs and find the square root of them then measure the volts?(For example 600w x 2ohm =1200-squarerooted = 34.6v)

Basically, I am contemplating the carputer idea heavily and will be looking for ideas as far as EQing and setting the system up. I want it headunitless, so an external unit is needed. Is there something out that has all the features of an active type of headunit? (think TA etc...) Any ideas post them up, the carputer is only in the early stages but I will be putting everything together in pieces. Help me out here

I have been thinking that I want a pretty decent size (1000WRMS) maybe up to 1500 but I want a Mono block amp that will do a 1 ohm load and like it! Would this amp meet this criteria! It says 1200W RMS and I have heard some decent stuff on these amps but not enough to know if they have the Power they say! Specs say http://edesignaudio.com/product.php?cid=4&pid=6&cur=USD see here for yourself! I like the look too! Kinda hip and says play me loud! <p> But yeah so who has one or has messed around with these bad boys! Good price too for a new amp! $320 from a neighbor! What ya'll thinkin? Get it or pass? Dont absolutely need it but want it cuz need a new project…

Ok. So now im looking for a new battery. My current battery ratings are CA: 650 Amps CCA: 525 Amps. The battery (EverStart) is bad tho. I dont know If I want a battery that replaces the existing one, or if I shold just get one and put it in my trunk. The battery I have now still starts my car, but in the cold its very close to not starting it. I want a battery that will start my car fine in the cold, and that will eliminate my voltage drops (Down to 13v from 14.5v voltage drops now when I bump my system) to go with my HO alt (160 Amp). After thinking about it after writing the majority of this thread, I should get an additional battery, and keep the stock right where i…

Regretably, my Denon DCT-3500 is dead and gone. However, I really like the idea of 5 channel amps but being that "5" is one character they are really hard to search for. For ease of installation, space savings, and for a dedicated set of drivers a 5 channel fits real well (read the woman's car). Thought I would start a list and ask that everyone list anything else that they might use. Denon DCT-3500 -- 35wx4 @4 80wx1 @4 NeXt VRZ 500.5 -- 70wx4 @4 240x1 @4 Kicker KX700.5 -- 40wx4 @4 200x1 @4 Alpine MRV-F450 -- 30wx4 @4 150wx1 @4 SoundStream Van Gogh VGA800.5 -- 50wx4 @4 200wx1 @4 So far the NeXT is winning by specs, but thought there has to be other options.

Maybe I can get some help here. I'm looking for amplifier choices, I'll be getting 4 RL-P 15's, probably being put into a smallish ported box. I kinda want to keep amplifier cost below 800$ if possible. I'm at a bit of a loss, on what to get. There are too many choices! I've considered getting a Hifonic Titan series TX1000 per sub. But maybe two stronger amps would be better. My truck has two yellow tops, and a mean green alternator. So any recomendations would be nice.

I figured this is a great place to post this. Anyways. . . My current occupation involves a great portion of the automotive electrical field. I have access to a myriad of 24V alts, and I'm wondering how feasible it would be to make some 24V amps. I would love to have half the current draw, but I don't know about the 24V electronics and interference between them and the 12V system the other accessories would run on. I have a guy I'm coordinating with right now on the amplifiers, but I'd like to get some more input. Thanks!

Seeing that my battery is the original and 15 yrs old, I am going to replace it whether or not there is a draw on my system. Discharging to nothing about 10 times in the past weeks I am sure will be the cue de'gra. Being it is an underseat battery I am limited to 6.75" or so in height which leaves me three options (unless you give me more): 1) A replacement from the stealer $130 2) An Interstate battery for $90 http://www.interstatebatteries.com/Batteri...Line_MTP-93.htm 3) An Optima for $130'ish but it will have to be laid down. My gut says that the Interstate is just as good as the Optima other than not being sealed. Having to lay the Optima down scares me a bit as w…
