My battery keeps dying and I think I might have a parasitic draw. To simplify the troubleshooting process I would love to buy a DC ammeter that can measure 10mA to 500mA+. According to the M5 owners group 20-30mA at the off and settled position is normal. Since I am buying one it would be a cool tool to measure current going to my speaks as well. Anyone have recommendations on where/what to buy??

I am currently running an alpine 7995, at this point it is the cleanest deck I have ever heard. Has anyone heard one of the new Panasonics with 106 db S/N and 5V preouts, or does anyone have any other decks they would recommend?

I have been looking from time to time to see if I stumble across one, but I wanted to put the word out again and ask if someone might know of one or has seen one, I hate haveing a processor and not use it, could maybe back the gains back down again, any help would be great

I have a Power Acoustik A2400DB (1800w rms @1ohm) to push my 15"s. I just want to know if this will work fine with them?

Presently I own two Coustic 505DR's, three Coustic 510DR's and one Soundstream Rubicon 702. All pretty sweet old school amplifiers (if I do say so myself ). However, I'm very seriously contemplating selling them all and picking up three or four Rockford Fosgate T3002's. I'm wanting to compete in IASCA 0-600w class. With the RF's, I would have potential power of well over 2kw, yet still remain in the 0-600w bracket. With my current amps, I would be pushing the limit of 600w with even two of them, and I wouldn't have much more actual total power output than that 600w. Plus the RF amps are 1ohm/channel stable, were as the Coustics are not.....so the RF's really have fut…

How many ampere's should 1/0 be fused to? im thinking 200a just to be safe because if my stock charging system exceeds that something is wrong.

Alright most likely this amp will be powering 2 12" SS RL-P's in a box between 1.75-2^3ft with 20-24^2in of port per sub...tuned to 34hz... Here are the amp choices..price range is under 360.... 1.)Orion 2500D(refurbished from Ikesound kinda worried about that) will be used @ 2 ohms 2.)MA Audio HK-1398 which is 600x2 @ 1ohm stereo, and 1600x1@ 2ohm mono... 3.)Hifonics BX1605D which is 1600@1ohm. Looking to go active in my truck and have found one of these pretty cheap. Very budget oriented system, but would prefer to keep everything active. I know iraggi is having a group buy right now, but I don't know exactly how confident I feel with him. no constant 12v. Deck won't hold memory. I'm down to 2 more things to trouble shoot one check all wiring in car. I also have the engine light on, fog lights not working and first setting on windshield wipers not working. I have checked all fuses in dash. checked unit wiring. I'm going to check to make sure that the factory wires are matching with the aftermarkets correctly. Other than those 2 i'm completely clueless. The car is a 95 altima unit is alpine 9835

I've been having a small problem with my in-line fuse. at first I had a 80 amp tube fuse in a fuse holder, under the hood. One day my subwoofer stopped working, so I pulled over to see what was wrong. My fuse holder was melted with the fuse inside. So I bought a new fuse holder and put a 40 amp tube fuse in it. Then 2 days later after playing my system loud for 10-15 min. I blew another fuse. I never had this problem before. I have noticed that at times the inside of the fuse will be glowing hot. so the other day im driving down the road and my right front speaker cuts out. so i get pissed and try to beat some sense into the door panel but to no avail. i had the problem narrowed down to the wiring harness, but when i checked all of the wires were in perfect condition. and now both of my right speakers dont work. i was told that the internal amp in the HU might have gone bad and i would really like to be able to listen to my music. any thoughts?

I will be needing to purchase either a 160 amp alt. or a 8-20 fared cap. eventually both. I have a voltage drop problem. My current alternator is only 80 amps. my amp , I think has 4 20 amp fuses, its a soundstream tr880/2. My headlights dim quite a bit. Would a 8 or 20 fared cap fix the problem well enough to forget an alternator. I can get a 20 fared soundstream cap on ebay for $169 new, $129 for the 8. Or should I go with the 160 amp alt. Which would be more effective. Most people I've seen have only a 1.5, 2, or the biggest I've seen in a car was a 4 fared. What do you know or think? Im in need of some help... I have a problem that just started recently... at random occasions... my deck will flash off then back on... ushually several times in a row.... but if i turn down the bass... it will stop doing it... then i can change songs.. turn the bass back up... and it will play fine... switch back to the other song and it plays fine.... this cutting out crap is getting really annoying... and its like it only does it right before it should hit hard... ushually after the car has been sitting for a few hours... on the first hard hitting song i put on... the first time its supposed to hit hard.. the deck wi…

as some of you know, i have an 84 300D benz, and i have had this freakin 200a alt lyin around in my room waiting to be installed for 4 months. My dad is weary about installing this into my car because he is scared that if the regulator goes out, it will overcharge and blow my battery up. Other concerns are the stock wiring (not the big 3 wiring) the dimmer wire, startup wire and all that good stuff (all in a wiring harness) is going to catch fire. His wearyness has caught on to me and i am scared that my car is gonna catch fire.
