I have a Hifonics Brutus 1200 watt mono and a 15" FI BL sub. Any advise on how to get the loudest but still the best quality out of it? it's Level 9v - 0.2v , Phase 0 - 180 , Bass EQ (keeping it down) , Sub Sonic 15 - 35 Hz , Low Pass 35 - 250 Hz.

I have 2 kicker l7 15's and my amp went into protect mode, i checked allthe wiring and also unplugged my subs and the amp was still in protect mode..Any other way to see if my subs are good or was unpluugging them good enough being that the amp stayed in protect mode?

So I'm thinking of getting 2 mach 5 ixl15's and the sundown 1500. My question is with big 3 (0guage), kinetic hc800, and factory alt am I gonna toast my alt eventually? Unfortunatly the ixl's are only dual 2 ohm, I don't plan an pounding it all the time but would like a lil more spl occasionally. Cost is a factor to some degree, but would rather spend a little more and be safe if necessary. I've also considered the SSA Icons, but wonder if I would send enough power with the 1500. Either enclosure would be approx. 6-7cu. and ported to suggested spec. Thanks !

hi guys finally bought one i have a 130 amp alt and a 2400 kinetik and 800 kinetik and all 1/0 cable is that enough to power this i was thinking of getting another hc800 will i be ok i know i could use more batts but i should be ok right? thanks in advance Billy

I did not know where to put this but since it concerns using head units, I thought this would be the best fit section. So first of all some background info.... I have a 1999 Volvo S70 (dont hate) and currently I have a alpine cda-9886 headunit. My car is a double-din so i have the headunit in the bottom slot and a pocket in the top slot. I also have 15% tint all the way around, which I know isn't the darkest but its pretty dark at night, especially backing up....however, i was thinking about redoing the tint and getting 5% all around and 50% on the windshield so I know that this will be even harder to see at night. before i was deciding whether or not to go darker but my …

I have a jl 500/1 gains are supposed to be set at 31.6 v ac. I have tried two different decks at 3/4 volume with bass flat and with the gain turned all the way down Im getting 40 volts using 50hz signal at 0db. the sub 12w6 sounds loud with the test cd but barely audible with music. Is there anything obvious to look for? thanks Todd

I have had a dva-9861 setup for several years, I have the Digital sound processor, XM radio and HD radio units connected to it and for the first time I tried hooking up an ipod. I tried a 5th Gen Nano and a 7th gen Classic and in both cases it recognizes the ipod, displays the name of the song on the screen and the "Timer" runs to show how long into the song it is but there is No sound at all. is there any internal setting I have to change to make it work? thanks, Sparty

what are some of the best amps i can push 2 15" juggernauts with alot of wattage for a good price?

alright, say i have the gains set at 1/2 on the amp. now, i plug in the knob, and turn the knob to MIN (amp gains still at 1/2) theres almost no bass. when i turn it to MAX, is it the same as my amp playing at full tilt with the gains at 1/2 if i didnt have the knob in? did i make sense? its kinda hard to explain what im trying to say...

Or is one tube for positive and the other negative? so like instead of two wires running to my amp I will have one then at the amp I will split it into two by separating the 2 chambers?

Hi Everyone I Am Currently Running My FI 15'' BTL In My Room Running On A Home Audio Plate Amp Thats Pushing Around 250 Watts. I Wanted To Put Lighting In The Box So Whenever The Bass Hit The Light Went With It. However I Dont Know How To Wire Any Lights Seeing How Most Lights Are 12 Volt. Does Anyone Know How I Wire Them ? I just got a quick question. I just bought a Pioneer Avic f90bt for my 2008 scion tc. If one's amp would be clipping, resulting in a blown sub, is it a permanent issue? Or does the gain, bass eq, and other filters need to be tuned to insure that it won't happen with the new sub?

Hi everyone im going to be running a kicker component set for my front stage and in my back seat i will have selenium super tweeters the component set is 4 ohms, but the super tweeters are 8 ohms, the component set is 100rms per pair (driver and tweeter) and the super tweeters are 100rms each. i plan to buy a sundown 100.4 now for the speaker system. is it ok to run everything per channel? what ohm load would everything be? i assume 4ohm and is that ok for the supertweeters? this all sounded good in my head but now physically its lookin a mess lol... please dont judge my decision to get supertweeters, i know i will enjoy them.. this would be my first build with supert…

Hey i need some help i got a new HU from a friend and my friend forgot the code so i cant play cds or anything, so im SOL is there any way i can Re program it or something like that PLease help i would really apperciate it

just installed a brand new chevy alt on my mecury van , its chargeing but not fully i ran over my DMM so i cant test it till tomorrow.. theres 2 wires on the alt one is grey the other is white.. 3rd wire is the big red battery wire.. the gray im told is to battery power and white is a exciter wire but am told you dont have to use this white wire because at 1200 rpm itll turn on.. so a quick test and it was chargeing but i was using a test light for the time being and it was lit but not as bright as the vans own alt when i hooked it to van alt it was bright.. not as bright with second chevy alt .. any one have a clue why its not fully chargeing or am i missing something..…

Hey guys I was thinking about going active with my mids and highs and before I buy an active x-over is it possible for me to band pass my mids with my HU front x-over (hp 80Hz up) and my amp x-over ( Lp 3KHz) can I do this or am I missing somethig. i have a lanzar opti 2000d and i think its one of the best bang for your buck! i have used it in all ways 4 ohm 2 ohm i have had it down to .65 ohms for two years never!!! shut down even in the summer with massive audio subwoofers also very good subwoofers has anyone used lanzar opti amps
