Ok, I recently bought a blown sax 100.4 relatively cheap. I did not need it, but wanted to see if I can fix it. I know it needs new rca inputs as one is broken, but I believe it needs a mosfet (that is my guess I have yet to do any testing). Before I go any further where can I purchase amplifier parts from knowing that they are quality parts and exactly what I need. Again this is just something I have wanted to take a crack at for awhile and a lot of people probably think this is stupid, but I am hard headed and like to tear things apart and rebuild them. Lol

Was curious if anyone knew if this would fit or be able to install in a 2005 jimmy. On crutchfield when I fill in my year make and model it says it cant be installed. This does not make sence to me as its not a huge double din or anything. The response only meen they don't have the kit for it? Maybe a kit for this model to work with a Jimmy doesnt exhist anymore? I don't know why a reg size deck would not work. car= 2005 jimmy 2door. No bells and whistles. standard, no steering wheel controls or anything. 1st piece to go with: Hertz HSK165 6.5 components for front. Fi Q12 in ported enclosure Soundqubed Q1-1200D at 1ohm Soundqubed Q4-120 for components.

ok i got a few questions: 1, i need help choosing a sub amp here is what i am thinking: us amps XT-4000D used us amps md1d Used ED 9.1 used/refurb kicker sx1250 Hifonics TXi1508D i am trying to not spend more then 300 on the amp and i need 1200rms at 1 ohm. Another question is this: on my car it is a single wire running for the alternator and the way it is suppose to be wired that it came with a 6" long run of 10 guage wire attached to the alternator to a point where then i have 1/0 guage running to the battery. could that 10 guage wire pose a voltage problem for 200 amps. And the last question. i am thinking of using kinetic batteries and they to use a hc1400 under the…

Trying to get my brother a decent HU with at least 4 volt preouts, ipod combatibility that works and with connector included preferably, and a decent user interface. Needs to be under $160 after shipping. I've looked at just about everything and I'm stuck between these two. A Pioneer Premier DEH-410UB or Clarion CZ500. The only bad thing about the pioneer is it has terrible control reviews (thumbstick very sensitive etc.) which is why I even looked at the clarion. Clarion: CZ500 - Clarion In-Dash CD/MP3/WMA Receiver, Front Panel Aux-In, Bluetooth Pioneer: DEH-P410UB - Pioneer Premier MP3/WMA/WAV/iTunes AAC Reciever ALSO, very open to any suggestions anyone might have! Loo…

I am just curious since i always here people say that they notice a difference in sound at lower impedance, if 2 ohms will make a noticeable difference in my setup. I currently (and temporarily) am running an MTX 81000d which is rated at 1000w into 2 ohm load. I modified it to run at lower impedance but don't really plan on it. Do you think that there will be a major discernible difference between me running it at 2 or 4 ohms? Will it be as dramatic as an am with rated minimum impedance of 1 ohm running at 1 vs. 4. Just curious because where mine is rated at 2 minimum, i didn't know if it would have the same adverse effect as minimum impedance on something capable of lowe…

This will be going into my scion xb 08. Its going into the hatch area in the back. Question is would any of these batteries work for me. I have no experiance with batteries besides getting stock ones for replacement. I've read up on deka, xs, optima and all those. The only reason I would go with one of the batteries from this site is because I have an account there and they are local. Like I said this is going into a scion xb, will be the second battery. Going to help power a sundown saz1000d pushing a fi 15 Q. http://www.lesschwab.com/batteries.asp I'm assuming one of the deep cycle ones would work for me since they seem to resemble the optimas, but I am lost. And …

whats up everyone? so heres a question that i guess is kinda noobish. i recently had some problems with my deck, and after trying to remount it and clean the laser i decided its time to upgrade, so i did. i went from a pioneer deh-3800mp to a deh-4000ub i had in my other vehicle. now, from what i gather, the 4000 is a more powerful output. that said, when i plugged everything in it was significantly louder at the same volume (35). my question is, should i readjust the gains on my amp? i've been fiddling with the deck (still trying to fine tune this one 2Q 1Q 1W 2W stuff), and i can significantly reduce the sub volume, but i'm wondering, should i lower the gains on…

Here' s my current setup. Alpine 9885 (4V) Front: CDT CL-62 (160RMS) w/ Soundstream Rubicon 2.600 (180x2 @ 4ohm) Rear: CDT CL-69X (100RMS) w/ Soundstream Rubicon 2.250 (75x2 @ 4ohm) Fi BTL 12" D2, loaded (2000RMS) Soundstream Rubicon 1.2500 (2500 @ 1ohm) I want to add a duplicate set of CL-62 up front. The 2.600 amp is rated for 300x2 @ 2ohms as well. So I assume, wire the crossovers in parallel from the amp. + to + and - to -. That would yield a 2ohm load from the amplifier giving me how many watts per component at 4ohm each?

Iv recently blown my Alpine 1000.1 amplifier so i decided to replace it with an older PG Xenon 1200.1 i had lying around. I was looking at the control knobs and noticed it only has a Bass boost option, but no gain setting. Iv looked it up and its a bass boost knob for 45hz, 0-18db. I was just curious how i would go along setting this boost without a gain setting as well. Also, how should i set my deck settings along with this? I'm running 2 Alpine Type X 10" subwoofers in a ported box if that helps. Thanks -Mike

I have a 160amp alt, SHURiKEN SK-BT60 (Cranking Amp 1500, Amp Hours 60) under the hood and I want to run a saz1500 at .5ohm with 2 more 300 watt amps and have a stable voltage around 12+. Would 1 sk-bt20(20 AH, 850 Cranking Amp) be enough, what are your recommendations or thoughts? also 2 sk-bt20s would be the same price as 1 sk-bt35 (35 AH, 950 Cranking Amp)

Ill be buying a new amp soon. Ill be putting this amp on 3 10 re srx. The amp will be on the stock electrical and I might do the big 3 upgrade. And i might be getting an amp for my highs and mids. I have the alpine type r 5x7. They are 100wrms each. My budget on the amp is spending no more than 150 for the high amp. For the sub amp i will be spending no more than 280$ Oh and the amps i could get the SAE 1200d for 211 refurbished and the SAZ1000d for 197 refurbished. They will be on a 2000 f250
